The (updated) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). Horse-riding and other dangerous activities are also actively encouraged.

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed. If you're a midwife, you can even get other midwives to furkle for you Grin

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

We're still thinking of you takethat. xx Hope A&E are being nice to you.

Miffles · 22/10/2010 21:24

And more hugs coming your way takethat

SingingMog · 22/10/2010 21:34

The kind of hugs that make you feel safe and happy inside xxx

takethatlady · 22/10/2010 22:41

Girls, you are the best Smile

It was me being mental. I am constipated and have wind Shock Blush. I am still pregnant and my HCG levels are 'nice and high' for five weeks. Plus I also have nmcb's diagnosis, which is funnier, less embarrassing, and probably right Grin

I cannot tell you how relieved I am. I am such a stupid person!

And I'm lucky to have you guys (big sloppy hugs right back atcha).

Looking forward to vallinna's next dream to keep my mind off it Grin

OP posts:
SingingMog · 22/10/2010 23:49

Yay!!! So glad to hear that TTL Grin Is it the first time you've ever been pleased to have constipation and wind?

Can you help me with a weird thing I have noticed (in the spirit of never TMI!) - why have my nipples gone all hard and a bit achey? Confused Is this something that happens when you stop taking the pill? It's a good job I have firm bras that hold them down, otherwise ouch!!! I'm going to be peanut-smuggling on holibobs in bikini [hshock]

BrassicaBabe · 23/10/2010 00:25

Phew. In from the pub. Pissed.Fecking good news. DH looking over mynshoulder , post tomorrow x

vallinnapod · 23/10/2010 07:25

TTL fab!! Probably be the only time you want to do a little dance (and full page newspaper ad) for being consulates!

Lots if Senna fueled thoughts toes way Wink

milanomum · 23/10/2010 08:06

Just checkin gin quickly from work - Thank goodness TTL! :o :o :o

milanomum · 23/10/2010 08:06

checkin gin??!! freudian typo methinks...

Eskarina · 23/10/2010 08:41

Phew TTL Glad you and baby are OK.

Still driving myself crazt on 2ww. Yesterday I had cramps and a sort of heavy feeling in the very lowest part of my abdomen and back, lower even than usual period pain.
Of course when I told DH he grinned and asked if my b-t-m had got any larger and was dragging it all down! Cheeky sod.
My mission for the weekend is to not go to boots and buy a CB test (have a drawerful of cheapies I am not using (yeah right) for another week. Unfortunately I need to go to Boots for other stuff so we'll see if my resolve holds. I hope I'm more determined about this that I was about the doughnut before the gym yesterday Blush

Eskarina · 23/10/2010 08:41

crazt? crazt? Crazy clearly.

takethatlady · 23/10/2010 11:52

Hey girls, typing from my phone in the go ape car park. Sils think I'm pretending not to be hungover and are slightly miffed as they are hungover and still doing it, but they know I love go ape and never say no to anything so I've got away with it. Wore no make-up too which must have given them a fright!

Took a preg test when I woke up at 4 this morning-seem not to be able to lie in these days- it said 2-3 weeks! First time ever!

Loving the drunk posts and boozy freudian slips.

I never had that hard nipple post-pill thing. Have had the hard nipple and preggo thing though singingmog [hwink]

eskarina you can do it! Hold onto that reserve. Get a meal deal instead :) the duck wrap is delish.

On the plus side in my life I have, by quite disgusting means, got rid of the wind. Ye-hey.

OP posts:
Miffles · 23/10/2010 13:48

Yay for TTL's wind!! And do tell us the digusting means of getting rid of it!

SingingMog · 23/10/2010 16:51

Yay for the wind!!

Eskarina, you will have to wander round Boots purposely avoiding the tempting areas (or you could find someone outside and pay them to go in for you just to get the things you need)!

I'm going on my holibobs at a disgustingly early hour of the morning, so won't be here for a week....... hope it's not the hard-nipple and preggo thing TTL as it would be a waste of paying for an all inclusive holiday.... plus if I have ovved at all (and am straight back to usual cycles) after stopping pills then I am in midst of 2ww with AF due (fittingly) on Halloween!

I am looking forward to getting back and finding out how the wind was gotten rid of, plus everything else. I have got major FOMO (fear of missing out), but will catch up when I get back.

xxx

Eskarina · 23/10/2010 21:10

Hoorah for the pg test TTL How did you get on at Go Ape?

I made it out of Boots without a CB test, but with lots of lovely new makeup a few essentials. DH is going to wonder how on earth it is possible to spend £44 on deoderant and cleanser....
I also had a starbucks coffee and bun (as breakfast) to power me back up the hill.

NervousNelly · 23/10/2010 22:21

Evening viroids.

Not been on for a couple of days so thought I'd say hi! Glad all is well TTL - was very nervous reading my way through the thread.

Very funny drunk postings last night! I'm on the wine, as very bored on CD4 - 2ww seems a loooong way away :(

On the fun baby side though, we are babysitting 10 month old nephew tonight, who has been very cute, and is now fast asleep in his cot, whilst kneeling in a sort of comedy yoga pose

Hope his nappy stays on overnight, we aren't very practiced Wink

cremegg · 24/10/2010 06:53

hey all, it was a manic week so had lots to read up on!
TTL So pleased for you, esp that the wind has gone!!!! :o Must have been horrible waiting there tho! How did the night out go after go ape? Love the no make up touch, have used that one when returning from skiving calling in sick.
Hehehe to the freudian slips and drunken MN'ing!
Loving eskaring's boots spend. i miss boots!!
CD 10... lots of JSing this weekend, DH tried complaining for about 2 mins this morning and gave in...I played the Sugababes song 'Easy' in his honour afterwards ;)
Hope all had good wknds?
CE

Miffles · 24/10/2010 12:18

I think people must having a great time - or wild JSing going on, as quiet in here!

We had friends over last night and DH had cooked a brilliant chilli - however, I have only just finished cleaning up the kitchen from it now! The girl kept getting me on my own last night as asking "how ARE things" in a meaningful way....I kept desparately trying to think of anything to say to distract her. Thankfully she isn't bold enough to just come out and ask what she wants to know! Trouble is, I was full of our plans for a family ages ago - I bet she is wondering what the problem is....if only she knew the half of it!

Felt wiped out from working yesterday and then friends that I missed church this morning. Slept in til 11, so must've needed it. Won't be able to do that once I have DC!!

Eskarina - I'm so with you on spending money in Boots! It's scary how the deodorant multiplies! I wanted proper pre-conception vitamins for me and DH - they were 3 for 2, but still £18 a pack (cheaper buying the his and hers combined...and since DH's swimmers need some help, he's being very good at taking them Wink). Bought him some more boxers too!

How did the babysitting go Nelly? Any nappy changes needed? My niece (18months) was round yesterday - so cute. Makes me realise I really do want one so much. Time. In time. It'll come. Keep the faith.

Eskarina · 24/10/2010 23:10

Viroids I need that halibut. ERTD is due wed (or maybe thurs, fri or sat) but we're going on holibobs (good word!) on Tuesday. Do I test before we go? We're going to Paris and I want to know if I have to avoid foods and wine.
But if I get BFN then I won't give up hope because it's too early, so I shouldn't drink too much anyway. And if I get a BFP then I won't touch naughty things much. Am I better off not knowing?
I'm currently having a difference of opinion with FF (more halibut). I think I ovved 12 days ago. So did it. Then the fecker went and changed its mind on me and decided I actually didn't ov until last Thurs. But if it is right then there's no way I can be pg this month because we backed off on the JS front after I thought I ovved first time round. AARRGH!!
Have sore breasts and feel queasy, but often get sore breasts just after ov, and have been doing way too much prodding of them, so not surprising they hurt.
Worst of all would be ERTD showing up on Tues just as we arrive on hols and wrecking the whole lot. Confused

takethatlady · 25/10/2010 07:09

Grin cremegg at your 'easy' DH. As if they EVER really mind JSing Grin.

eskarina here's the halibut . FF sounds like she's being a total cow. She's not your friend! I say test before you go to Paris ([henvy]). Wish I was going to Paris, instead of bloody old work. Loving your sneaky make-up purchases.

You guys want tmi! Just massaged the air bubbles out of my stomach and into the world, shall we say, and then strained until my head went purple. Blush Feeling much better now. Boobs were so sore yesterday it hurt to have clothes on them. Back to just mildly sore today. Definitely got to get used to wild fluctuations in symptoms.

I do not know how my SILs don't realise I'm preggo. First I turn up to Go Ape pretending to be ill (and I am a terrible actress). Then they ran back to put their parking tickets in their cars and caught me with a Mothercare catalogue, which I tried to hide with a baby name book [hblush], then I made a miraculous recovery in the afternoon and was 100% well enough to get glammed up and go out. Then I didn't drink a drop in the most ridiculous of ways. One SIL said to me, while totally pissed in this nightclub we went to, 'Seeing you without a drink in your hand is like seeing Jesus without water' [hconfused]. What does that mean?! I did two shots with her, which I spat out when she turned away. We got a free bottle of champagne at the casino we went to and she poured me a glass. I gave it to DH who was walking off to play blackjack or something, and she spotted him with it across the room and said, 'Has DH got your champagne?'. When I said yes she said 'What a bastard!!!!' and poured me another, which I had to throw down the loo. She kept trying to make me share her wine all night which I had to pretend to sip with my mouth closed. Mostly I had orange juices and lemonades and pretended there was vodka in there. But I remained suspiciously sober ...

Then DH and I went home early (well, 1am) and his mum and dad were still there and they were stunned to see me sober.

Then I went round my mum's house (she lives about 5 miles away) and she said after about ten seconds 'Are you pregnant? Your boobs are massive', and I had to make up some lie about the miraculous push-up bras in La Senza. Even she believed that, and she is Pregnancy Hawk-Eye.

So I got through unscathed...

Hope you ladies all had nice weekends :)

Miffles · 25/10/2010 10:29

Wow! TTL - it sounds like you've had an assault course of a weekend to get through! I'm amazed you managed to think of so many excuses without going bright red! Sneaky thing! You deserve the crown for most devious viroid!

Eskarina - I say test if you like, but go ahead and have a good time anyway. If you are pg, it'll be too early for what you eat/drink to actually affect it yet. Someone was saying that the first few weeks your placenta hasn't developed so the baby isn't hooked up to your blood, so those naughty things won't affect it. Especially if you haven't got a BFP yet!!

Had a lovely evening last night with friends - lots of wine and cheese (he's French!). Might as well enjoy the benefits of not being pg! Whilst the men went and smoked cigars, my friend and I had a heart to heart. Turns out she and her DH have been trying for 18 months and is waiting for a referral to the FC too! We ended up discussing our DH's SA and all sorts!! Blush Then swore each other to secrecy, as we knew that if they knew, we'd been talking about it, they'd be v upset!

HarderToKidnap · 25/10/2010 10:36

Hi girls!

Back from hollibobs, drunk and brown!

So glad to hear your sticky news, TTL. And PMSL at your avoidance tactics. You wanted them to guess didn't you! Mothercare catalogue indeed.

CD10 here, temping this month, it's fascinating.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 25/10/2010 11:08

eskarina even if you are newly pg, a bit of wine and cheese won't hurt. Like many other women, I spent the initial few weeks of my pregnancy drunk off my ass (was birthday/Christmas time) and felt so guilty after I'd tested, but DS is fine. I would test anyway but like you say, not put too much store in a BFN as it is relatively early.

ttl I doff my cap to you and will definitely be seeking your top tips should I get knocked up again Grin So glad your bean is sticking around too. lol @ Pregnancy Hawk-Eye.

No JS this weekend for me as DH was away at a music festival, but I did take DS to visit some friends and we had a lovely time :) Am now on CD20 so any sex will be strictly recreational Wink

Eskarina · 25/10/2010 11:53

Hey all, I did test this morning (just in case, purely for wine/cheese purposes you understand Grin) and got a BFN. Boobs still a bit sore and I feel a bit queasy so I'm still deluding myself a little hopeful.
Loving the attitude to cheese and wine, will enjoy lots some anyway. It fits in well with the JS ethos even if I'm very bad at that in other ways.

TTL I'm stunned at your SILs. They're either very tactful or very unobservant! Glad you had a good time though.

JosieSmith1 · 25/10/2010 12:39

Hi everyone

TTL so glad everything is ok! Smile PMSL Grin at disposing of wind!! And well done at making it through the weekend with no-one figuring it out! Are you sure your mum might not suspect still though? I know my mam would, she's freakish when it comes to stuff like that, I think she'd figure out if I was pg before I even had!

Sorry for BFN Eskarina

We have decided to hold off TTC for a while as we really need to save up a lot more money to cover the bills while I'm on maternity leave, but then again I don't think I can help myself! Really enjoying the time off though, been so relaxing so far, but this afternoon I'm leaving DH to his xbox and going for a ride with a friend, then out with my best mate on wed so I can whinge to her about TTC, then DH and I are gonna have a spa day near the end of the week so we can really slow down and stop.

Hope everyone's ok
