Ding Ding... the bus is ready to depart :)

Woo hoo cep!

Greeneyes good luck with the sexy lingerie Grin

GetDownYouWillFall I don't tell DH the full details - I think he felt a bit unloved in the later part of my cycle the other month Blush

Hope the baby house (great expression!) cramps are a good sign. I don't think 7dpo is too early to feel implantation cramps (based on obsessive reading of MN rather than personal experience...) but I've definitely noticed every single twinge since starting ttc but wasn't pg. But definitely have fingers crossed for you, Knitter, LadyGoneGaga and the other ladies at the front of the bus.

ravenlocks · 13/10/2010 18:17

Yeah for cep

Can we claim you as a grad?

Yes grapefuit juice is supposed to mean you generate more EWCM, heaven know how and how such a link was established. I'll try anything me, proven or otherwise!!

Welcome bubble, I remember you from previous buses I am sure.

Congratulations cep! Grin

kat2504 · 13/10/2010 19:40

Hey cep, congratulations! What a short bus ride!

Thanks for the prosecco. I have red wine and crisps to share. Bought some grapefruit juice in shop today - am I supposed to drink it all month long or just at certain times? In addition to folic acid, multi vits, evening primrose.......

Very boring time of month for me here. Cd 9, started ov tests early today but thankfully nothing yet. Fingers crossed that it happens on Sunday so have all weekend to swi. Last month i was nearly a week late and that would be a disaster this time as it would make being together at the right time nigh on impossible.

Absolutely knackered too. Work getting me down but this time in 2 weeks I will be enjoying a lovely holiday in Budapest. Shame it isn't at SWI time!!

Knitter you know it's too early! I understand the poas compulsion all too well but I really think before 11dpo it isn't really worth it. Unless you get a BFP of course! The 2ww is horrible isn't it? Sounds like you've done everything right this month though so good luck for your tests at the weekend

getdown No I do NOT tell him all the gory details. He hopefully thinks I have gone mad for his seductive charms and this means I have more chance of engineering the "right time". He knows I am monitoring cycle and discreetly doing opks but I have never said "today is the day" as I think it is a bit of a passion killer, for me as well as for him.

Mylittlebubble · 13/10/2010 20:43

A question for you all? First month of using OP sticks.

I got my first positive on Sunday and again Monday and Tuesday. Negative today so does that mean we need to keep going at it for a few more days or does the negative mean thats it?

Eskarina · 13/10/2010 21:50

Wow - congratulations cep. Lets hope there are many more of us joining you as graduates soon Smile

My new thermometer arrived today - a more accurate one so I can feed my new obsession be more precise and see if I do actually ovulate or not. OPKs should arrive tomorrow. DH was somewhat taken aback that I could find things to buy but I pointed out how much a CBFM costs and he backed off (I should point out that I have spent less than £10, which we can easily afford). It's loooking more positive that I might ovulate this month - (TMI alert) I actually have CM now, and it's CD19 so that's looking right for a 33-35 day cycle.

What does evening primrose do? Isn't it what older people take for their joints??

I try not to tell DH about the finer points of my cycle, but he works it out anyway. I keep a paper copy of my BBT chart by the bed and he takes an unhealthy interest in it, complimenting himself if there are lots of days circled in the SWI column. sigh. He's well aware of when I think I might be ovulating....I don't pester him otherwise! Grin

kat2504 · 13/10/2010 22:08

According to some posters, EPO increases your EWCM, therefore aiding the fertility process. Not sure if this is medically proven but am giving it a whirl anyway?

bubble are you sure you had 3 positives in a row? That is quite unusual I think as the LH surge is only meant to last for a day. The test line has to be at least as dark, if not darker than the control line. I get an "almost positive" result the day or two before the actual positive, this is useful as it allows you to get started early! When was your darkest line? If it was the middle one the day before and after might have been the LH going up and then down. I'd say up until Thursday, Friday at the very latest in case you ov'd later than the kit suggests, after that it's just for fun!
Love the idea of him priding himself on circled days! what a good idea - will give him a sense of achievement - think I'll give it a go!

gettingonmyownnerves · 13/10/2010 22:23

Thanks for that LadyGG,
Kat I haven't tried grapefruit juice but have heard that taking cough syrup coming up to ovulation can help with cm too.
I am trying so hard to remember to take my agnus castus, vitamins and folic acid this month that I'm afraid that I'll forget to actually SWI!
Mylittlebubble, I've never had much luck with OPKs but I think, as the LH surge happens before ovulation, it might be worth trying one more day, just to be sure?
Eskarina, apparently evening primrose helps with CM, sounds like you will be busy over the next few days!

fledtoscotland · 13/10/2010 23:40

evening ladies.

havent been around much due to work and SWing. Got faint positive with the OPK last saturday and very strong positive sunday. really pleased as thats 3months in row I've ovulated (only have one tube and one ovary) so at least I know that my right ovary is doing its job.

DH feeling a bit like a machine but thankfully has obliged although the tiredness from long shifts at work and coming home to DTD has taken its toll.

Congratulations to our two positives! hopefully there will be lots of baby just around on this bus

Mylittlebubble · 14/10/2010 07:02

Kat i think the darkest line was the first one on the Sunday.

I'll keep going with the SWI till the weekend. DH plums are aching so will have to be very seductive to get another one out of him this week Wink. He says is due to too much SWI but I'm not convinced. Anyone else's DH suffered with this?

GetDownYouWillFall · 14/10/2010 08:30

If it helps anyone, try not to obsess over EWCM - when I conceived DD I didn't seem to have any around the time of ovulation or after, so it doesn't necessarily indicate whether you can get pregnant or not Smile

Mylittlebubble I think you are fertile for up to 48hrs after a positive OPK.... but three days in a row? Hmm, you're not pregnant are you?!?!?

Eskarina glad you got your 2decimal place thermometer. Obsess away!!! Am very impressed with your DH showing an interest in your charts! Mine just goes "oh, that's.... interesting" Hmm

Was convinced I had sore boobs when first woke up this morning. Also those pains yesterday have got me all a wondering.... trying not to be too hopeful though, the disappointment would be huge otherwise.

mrsden · 14/10/2010 09:12

Congratulations cep!

Ok, I am officially going crazy. I had bad indigestion last night, woke up after a really vivid dream and felt sick when I got up and my nose was running so I thought "oh, maybe I'm pregnant". Then I remembered that I haven't ovulated yet and am only on CD14!

We should be right in the middle of SWI-ing phase but we both have bad colds and DH is working late so isn't getting in until 10pm and is very tired so I don't think this is going to be our month. But you never know Wink .

mylittlebubble maybe your DH needs a little rest Grin You should try and persuade him to go to his GP though, my DH had aching a couple of years ago and I nagged him to go to the dr because I was worried about it. His doctor took it very seriously even though DH was convinced it was nothing. He had an ultrasound and all was fine but the doctor said it's always better to get checked out and men are rubbish at doing that so need us to nag them.

Wombat33 · 14/10/2010 10:28

Morning all. Congratualtions Cep!!!

Bubble I always get two or three days in a row of positives on the OPK (I use the clear blue digi smiley face ones) so I don't think it's anything to worry about. I don't know when during those three days the 48 hour window for ov starts and finishes though. In Aug we managed to SWI each positive day and got a BFP (but I MC at 7 wks), but in the cycle immediately following that we only SWI on day one, not days 2 and 3 of the smiley faces and BFN, so I guess keep at it for as long as you and DH can!! Grin Good luck!

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/10/2010 11:19

Welcome new ladies :)

Do you all want to hear something funny.... I was making a cup of tea last night and while waiting for the kettle to boil I was looking at the calendar on the wall and thinking right so AF due 24th.... Today is the 14th... Hang on a minute.... yep i'd lost a week somewhere... Shouldn't have been even thinking about POAS for a good week... How I laughed (and felt a bit stupid) I had thought that the 2WW felt quite speedy this time round.

That said I had an interesting twinge in the womb area this morning... implantation...???

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 14/10/2010 12:17

well, knitter I didn't like to say anything at the time but I did think doing a test at 6DPO was a bit bonkers Grin

twinge in the womb area sounds promising I had major twinges yesterday - quite noticeable pains, I am pretty sure I didn't imagine them. But nothing today.

Knitter fingers crossed for implantation and err, glad you spotted the calendar Wink

mrsden am wishing you extra energy for the next few days. Am absolutely shattered but sooo want it to happen this month. Obviously that means it won't...

Luce loving the bowel point reflexology success Grin

And welcome to goldmaple

jigglebum · 14/10/2010 15:21

Afternoon everyone. been lurking rather than posting as last month got rather too into it all and had convinced myself I was pregnant and was then bitterly disappointed.

Hi to all the new joiners. Hi Gettingonmyownnerves sorry not to have responded on the other thread. Sorry you weren't successful last month either - here's hoping July is better for us.

Congrats to Cep and looking forward to hearing of more BFPs soon. I have ages to wait as have a five to six week cycle, which is very frustrating when TTC. My DH definitely knows when I am ovulating or nearly ov - he never gets that much sex anymore otherwise. I think he finds the pressure to perform a bit much sometimes! I am in awe of anyone who manages it more than once a day! I was meant to be visiting relatives over half term and just realised that is not a good time for DH to be apart - think I will have to keep the visit very short, without explaining why!! It is tricky isn't it.

KnitterNotTwitter · 14/10/2010 15:53

Afternoon goldmaple lovely to have you with us...

and thanks Teds - I still feel rather foolish :)
