Ahoy Gin Hags, behold the Hendrick?s Palais, the finest sea goin? vessel that ever left these God forsaken shores. Packed with comely wenches and salty seamen, I be lookin? for a BESHly crew to travel the seas in search of booty. Land lubbers lackin? a twisted disposition need not apply.

Let me shiver yer minges with tales of the fearsome Droid Monster, who raises his bloody head each month, and the dreaded 2WOOFL, where the vaguest signs can be espied from the top o? the Crow?s Nest.

Get ye to the Brig, yer scurvy dogs, where Roger the Cabin Boy will see to yer needs, or apply the Cat O? Nine tails to yer britches if ye should mutter the oaths of Babydust.

Drink up me hearties, yo ho(es).

speak of sub ocarina! Looks like we've done a switch.

Ocarina · 23/09/2010 16:35

Next time you're up this way we'll have to see if we can lure Medee from the frozen north....

CurlyCasper · 23/09/2010 16:35

should have said "speak of the sun". Blush

LadyGoneGaga · 23/09/2010 16:48

Casper originally from Derbyshire, now live in Warwickshire.

Rocket I have Nooo idea where you mean? Unless you are in S.Wales, not the capital?

Regarding your friends I have just had mc and am delighted for you. Maybe they will feel the same? I think given you specifically agreed to be completely open and honest not two weeks ago you probably have to follow through and tell them - I bet they'll be happy (maybe a little green inside). It's not like you haven't had your fair share of bumps in the road. xxx

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/09/2010 16:58

Oh I've definitely received "don't deserve to win" vibes from the Palace sadly. Hmm We all wear judgey pants and each and every one of us does or will indulge in parenting styles which make other wince or wish to have SS or speed-dial.

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 17:10

Yes I agree with you all - I will definitely tell them before 12 weeks, would be impossible not to and I know if the situation was reversed I would be nothing less than over joyed for either of them. Plus childish as it sounds a pact is a pact.

What i had been wondering was whether to tell them soon by text or phonecall (we have a quite digitized friendships as we don't see each other in the flesh THAT often but keep in touch a lot by phone & text) but as hopefully I will be seeing them both in a couple of weeks time so I am going to leave it til then.

Just had a chat to TB and he doesn't really want us to tell ANYONE for a few weeks at least and actually I think that makes sense. It is very early doors and as he said if anything goes wrong I can choose to tell the people who I want to help me with that at the time.

So I think I am going to roll with it and set myself a little challenge to see if I can make it through Sat night without spilling the beans to my southern contingent. :o

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/09/2010 17:13

Massive congratulations rocket - the second (to my knowledge) Jewish Palace baybee! Grin

Scorpette · 23/09/2010 17:36

Ski, if you're talking about me there, you're wrong. Just because I might not like sneering at ttc/pg 'rules' doesn't mean I think people who do don't deserve a baby. I don't presume you think I don't 'deserve' my baby just because you laugh at neurotic types like me, after all. I don't agree with concepts like 'deserving' a baby, anyway, as that's a superstitious concept (and I am NOT going to touch religious stuff with a barge pole Grin) - nature is indiscriminate.

Anyway, the very fact we need a BESH fred is proof that there's no such thing as 'deserving' (cos we should all be knee-deep in many, many rugrats by now).

I live in the Midlands (another proud Derbyshire-born lass - although, LADYGGG, I am nearer another, larger city than Derby) but can't drive and where you're talking about is a v long way away for me Sad

Leafygreen, whatever you and TB chose is the right choice. :) Is nice being around RL peeps knowing something amazing that they don't know

Ohhhhhhhh, my belly looks full of babies - BAHJI BABIES! Nomnomnom!

Truffkin · 23/09/2010 17:49

Oh Rockaroundtheclock it's so great to hear you chatting about telling people and all the loved updiffed convos you can get involved with now Grin

I have a BESH friend and whilst under the influence we started the conversation about what we would do if one of us won and we agreed we'd be overjoyed for eachother as 1) we know what we've been through to get there and 2) we luffs eachother innit?

TGB also says that he would want to keep it to just us (he says for 12 weeks, not sure he could do that as after 3 pints of Guinness he'll pretty much give out his bank details to anyone who asks) and I quite like the idea in my head as it would give me time to get used to it. In reality I may be so over excited that I'll be sending out announcement cards and reserving school places before the piss stick dries Wink

Soz Curly but I'm also London flavoured, although originally a Midlander (and back there fairly often for footie). No Scottish / Cheshire or similar though, pliz to beat me with that cutlass handle for disappointing you.

CurlyCasper · 23/09/2010 17:51

so many of the ESHs are just over an hour's drive from me - but all in different directions! Guess that's what happens in a county with so many borders (Shrops), so near the M6.

def up for a Scottish meet in future.

scorps we should be heading in your direction soonish. Might well stalk visit you.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/09/2010 17:57

Actually scorps, you were the very source - right from the go-get you've talked of "deserving" and "turns" and made it quite clear that you felt you were more deserving due to your "lifestyle" and uterus of an 18 year old.

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 18:19

truffleskin thank you for saying that. I realised before that I'm banging on a bit and that it might not be the most sensitive of questions for this thread. But you lot have been my go to people for all things baybeewinning related and also I know that there are PESHes and BESHes on the 2nd time round in here who would be able to help. In hind sight probably should have asked in the Deli so i hope very much its not in bad taste. I promise to calm down soon (in fact its already happening)

ski I've never got that vibe from scorps Any talk of that kind from her or anyone else is always in jest or so I have always assumed. I always took scorps attitude to be more bewilderment and frustration at the unfairness of it rather than of being more deserving than anyone else. Granted I'm fairly new round here so you may be talking about stuff in the past.

Have been working all day, doing really sensible things like hauling heavy things and dragging ropes. Many congratulations Rocket! That's fabulous news and you deserve it so much after trying so long. Well done, old thing!

Oh and one more thing...

THERE WILL BE NO BRINGING UP OF OLD ARGUMENTS IN HERE. TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/09/2010 18:51

I'm not reading that garbage. Rant away chick.

CurlyCasper · 23/09/2010 18:55
Scorpette · 23/09/2010 18:59

Stop deflecting attention from what we all want to hear from YOU, Aries! Put us out of our misery, I beseech you! Grin

Ariesgirl · 23/09/2010 19:03

No I haven't. I told you - Saturday.

You are in here a bit at the mo Casp. Don't tell me you're insane brave enough to be back in the saddle as well as NutterSki!

CurlyCasper · 23/09/2010 19:10

Nah, just realised I hadn't been giving much support to me old muckers, and had missed the fun of the best part of two BESH freds while I was finding it hard to spend much time online. (it comes in fits and starts) Sorry if I'm not supposed to be here...

Ariesgirl · 23/09/2010 19:11

Of course you are, silly! It's nice to see FESHes. How's the mini-Ghost? She looks like she's growing fast.

Scorpette · 23/09/2010 19:12

Well, it's hard to face the truth, eh, Ski? I wish it was shorter, but your nonsense accusations were so outrageous that it took quite a bit of text to confront. Doesn't matter if you or anyone else reads it. I know the truth and everyone else knows your descriptions of me are so far off the mark as to veer towards mental territory. Oh, and I wasn't ranting, but I understand that's an easy thing to accuse someone of when your nastiness is being exposed.

Here's the condensed version: your accusations are completely unfounded and I dunno why you have a personal vendetta against me, but even so, it's a bit cheeky to accuse me of thinking I'm more deserving than others just for saying the same things EVERYONE has said, like 'when will it be MY turn'. How me saying it means a different thing from others saying it is beyond me.

Everyone one here knows I don't feel I'm more deserving and that I have always been genuinely delighted for everyone who's won - including Ski.

Ariesgirl · 23/09/2010 19:14

Well I tried being nice, but pack it the fuck in for fuck's sake. No one else is interested. I'm not looking at either of you, you note.

Scorpette · 23/09/2010 19:37

Seriously, it's only because we can't handle the tension of waiting for you to POAFS!

CurlyCasper · 23/09/2010 19:37

The small, pale one is great, thanks rie. Growing ridiculously fast. Not a strong enough change of subject though, I am watching you Grin

Ariesgirl · 23/09/2010 19:42

Cjrist, did anyone see the alien spacecraft last night? They were like really totally amazing.
