JS- fingers crossed for u cant believe there taking so long to giv u a def answer

bebe- hope your feeling ok and the numbness has gone, to be honest i think most men r rubbish with housework lol i just think sometimes he thinks the fairies do things like clean the windows, dust everywhere, clean the bathroom etc haha if only

well i had a nice day today with a friend and her DS we went up to the cheshire ice cream farm and spent the day there, i am now exhausted tho and seriously debating a takeaway even tho i know i shudnt i have ate far to much junk food lately

nannyl · 01/11/2010 20:28

Hello

JS hope you hear something soon. (think its very mean of them to keep you waiitng so long!)

bebe sorry to hear leg is gettin worse Sad

100 enjoy your hols Smile

AC sorry never been to a muslim wedding either so no idea.

Been a good girl on day 1 of diet... had a whole tin of heroes bought into our classroom, (1 each for the 18 children, and the rest for us 3 teachers) and i havent (and have said i wont) eat any! also avoided a load of extra special biscuits in the staff room Smile
We'll see if i can keep it up all week!
Being good at avoiding snacking on crap this evening as well Smile
want to gte rid of half a stone before TTC... i figure it will be easier to get down to a reasonable weight after a baby if i at least START at a reasonable weight!
Also survived with tick-tock tea instead of earl grey

TheCake · 01/11/2010 20:50

Hello All,

Its been very busy on here! Im worried I will not be able to keep up Smile

JBells I teach in Heswall so am even closer!

Sq100 Does it feel like your wedding never happened now? My dress is hanging up on the back of my bedroom door still covered in grass stains - I'm too lazy to get it dry cleaned.

AC I know someone who went to a Muslim wedding and they wore a nice dress - but not strapless although it was just above knee length and tight!

First day back to work after half term was not as bad as I thought - although it was miserable coming home in the dark Sad

nannyl · 01/11/2010 21:03

the cake
I was also depressed to have my lights on on the way to and from schoo, today Sad

bebejones · 01/11/2010 21:25

TheCake - I got married nearly 3 years ago & still haven't had my dress dry cleaned! Blush In my defence it's because it was going to cost too much because of the insurance on it that the dry cleaners had to have apparently! Hmm

I love Autumn/Winter but the dark depresses me too. DH hates it coz he only gets to see DD when it's dark now (except at weekends) and she thinks it's bedtime at 5pm coz it's dark! :(

Really fed up with all the crap with that baby comp on fb. Wish I had never bothered to enter DD. I don't have the time (& I'm not desperate enough) to sit on the Next fb page & beg for votes all day! And now there are rumours flying around that it's been set up by a paedophile ring!! Hmm Well that's bolloks! I was invited by Next & linked to it through the actual Next website. Some people are so sick to even suggest that! Angry

Rant over! Wink

I reckon I've got about 2 weeks of folic acid tablets left then I'll have to switch to prenatal multi-vits Confused Eeeeeeek! I'll have to talk to DH then!

Hey everyone.

Bet I win the post for the most obscure time to post in the thread!!!

I'm just home from work and I'm not ready to go to bed after taking a horrible call as my last call of the night so I am just trying to sort my head out before I try to sleep.

It's getting busy in here at the moment, this is good :o

AF is nearly gone and I was right when I said to OH a month ago that we wouldn't be taking condoms with us on holiday! TMI Grin

Someone at work tonight was chatting with me, I was saying about how my OH keeps on talking about 'when we're old' eg in our 60s together and stuff like this. She mentioned the fact there needs to be a wedding and babies before then, I laughed, she asked about the wedding of which I said none was planned then she asked if we had discussed children, yep, she asked when I wanted them "now" and when OH wanted them "now" my reply to her are we trying was not very convincing at all - oops - ah well, she won't say anything. Was nice to chat about it though and she gets broody but she says she is no where near ready for them, she is 22/23 at the moment, but she loves other peoples and would be so excited if I said I was!

bebejones · 02/11/2010 09:27

Morning train!!

Well, AF arrived this morning. 26 days this time (a slight improvement). I would like to think this will be the penultimate one but sadly I think I shall have to endure 2 more after this in order for it to be 'safe' to TTC! :( That's if DH even agrees! This probably means I won't be trying until Jan! But who knows, things are still not settled after stopping meds Hmm

100 - sorry you had a horrid last call. What is it you do? It's nice talking about TTC with people...even if you know you shouldn't! :o

WYorksLass · 02/11/2010 09:34

AC there are Go Apes all over the country but we went to the Dalby Forest (North Yorkshire) one as it is near my Parents house and one of the nearest to me.

I'm loving the Spa carriage. I'd never been to a Spa before so it was all new to me and lovely. It was funny, my mum was looking over my shoulder as i filled in the form there. I'm sure she was watching me tick the 'I am not pregnant' and the 'I am not taking any medication box'. She knows i was on the pill so wonder what she will make of that :) Several times over the weekend i kept thinking, "good job i'm not pregnant yet" as i wouldn't have been able to do Go Ape, the Spa or the alcohol :)

OH and i had another TTC chat last night and he was suggesting that we start now! I pointed out that i wanted drinks at the wedding and did not want to be puking up on Honeymoon. He got that so we agreed to definitely ditch the condoms after AF's next visit which will be a few days before the wedding :-) He seems really excited and was asking about due dates etc :)

JustShaggingForNow · 02/11/2010 10:02

Exciting times for everybody on here.
I also have some exciting news. not TTC related sadly but almost as good.......
They have offered me the job! No contract yet, it's on it's way, but as soon as it arrives I can hand in my notice here (which will be fantastic!!) and start working on my relocation plan!!!

squirrel007 · 02/11/2010 10:14

Hi all! Well I have exciting news - AF still hadn't turned up this morning so I decided to do another test. This one gave me a faint positive Shock both DH and I are a bit surprised, and I don't think I believe it yet! So guess I won't be joining you on the august bus 100years, after you kindly saved me a place!

bebe think I understand your drugs - was hoping you didn't have to go back on the ones you'd given up and have to delay ttc some more.

thecake know what you mean, my dress is hanging in the spare room wardrobe and it seems such a long time since I wore it. I keep meaning to get it dry cleaned.

jbells sounds like your DH needs to stop lazing and get on with the housework!

wyorkslass your hen do sounds fab :) I loved go ape when I went last year - went to one in a safari park and it was quite weird going down the zip wire with animals making noises in the background!

js Hope you enjoyed the gig :) and huge congratulations on the new job!!! Are you going to resign today?

ac I've never been to a Muslim wedding, but I imagine something colourful would be a good choice.

JustShaggingForNow · 02/11/2010 10:23

s007 that is AMAZING news!!

What a happy train we are today :)

jbells · 02/11/2010 10:36

oooh im so excited hopefully we are the first of many on this thread :)

JS- also great news on job front

bebe- hope things settle down for u soon, and fingers crossed OH will get onboard trying, i do agree that i doubt one more will cost that much more

Quodlibet · 02/11/2010 10:42

Hurrah on two bits of brilliant news this morning!

Congratulations JS! Really pleased for you. When does this mean you can relocate?

Squirrel, that's fantastic! So excited for you.

Shall we have a little party?

WYorksLass · 02/11/2010 11:29

Yay!!!! I love Happy news!

Well done JS! Woo Hooo!!!!! :o Is it in Bath the new job?! How are you planning on telling the BFH to stick his job?! Wink

Squirrel!!! YAY! Congratulations!!! :o What a lucky train! Will you test again? Does this give you a July EDD?

Loving the party carriage idea!

Jbells - I'm not being stupid am I, a 2nd one (at least in the first 6months) isn't going to be a huge added expense is it?

WYorks - Not long now! This time next month you'll be a Mrs!! Wink :o

squirrel007 · 02/11/2010 12:37

Thanks everyone, you can find me in the party carriage drinking ginger beer (non-alcoholic). Shame as my immediate first reaction is to want a large glass of champagne :)

Am not sure about due date, think ov was 3 weeks ago so I guess that makes me 5 weeks? Due to coil my last AF was in aug. Will probably test again towards the end of the week, just to be sure. Am a bit nervous about it just being a chemical pg.

AmandaCooper · 02/11/2010 12:44

Woo hoo it's the Brilliant News Train!!!! Congratulations Squirrel and JS!!

100years · 02/11/2010 13:55

bebe having to 'endure' another 2 as you put it :( That sucks.

Wyorks yay for your OH being all excited about dates etc

JS woohoo on the job front, that's most excellent news.

squirrel Congratulations, really pleased for you :o Never mind about the August bus, go back to the July one.

I work for the ambulance service, used to be out on the road but I can't do that now due to an injury so I am now taking 999 calls for them. Sometimes my job really sucks and sometimes it's great, last night my last call sucked big style.

I took a cold shower yesterday, it was.... interesting, OH who was working from home found it highly amusing to listen to me making catch my breath noises. I'm hoping I can have a hot shower tomorrow when I visit family!

bebejones · 02/11/2010 14:28

100 - You have my sympathy re the shower! Cold showers are horrid! When we lived in our flat the bathroom was disgusting when we moved in, and the boiler didn't work at all. We couldn't afford a new bathroom or boiler at the time so for 6 months I had to shower at MILs as and when & boil kettles of water to wash & do my hair over the sink! It was hell!

OP posts:
100years · 02/11/2010 15:08

I swear that cold shower was colder than yesterday!!! Flipping freezing. It is NOT the time of year to be having cold showers!!! August maybe, November definitely not

getovaryit · 02/11/2010 15:46

Hi all! Sorry for long spell between posting, I'm on nights at the moment and can barely string two words together, let alone type them!!

Everyone has been really busy! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Squirrel and JS, such great news for you both-new starts all round Grin.

100 Sorry to hear about the bad call, I sympathise with you and hope that it feels a little better today Smile

Wyorkslass whens the wedding? I LOVE weddings!! We got married nearly six years ago and it was most definitely the best day ever

Bebe Sad about another two months- hope that it passes quickly for you

For anyone I've missed, I apologise!! Off to grab a cocktail(virgin as working AGAIN tonight) from the bar en route to the spa- is George free yet for a foot massage??! Grin

nannyl · 02/11/2010 17:49

Wow

what an exciting day!!!!

HUGE congratulations to squirrel for your BFP Grin and to JS for your job Smile

My day has been far less exciting. i have been making fireword models with my 3 year olds, and have avoided a tin of celebrations and a tin of roses and 2 tins of biscuits in the staff room, and avoided the tub of heroes in my classroom, Shock and swam 60 lengths after work.

Still trying to get my head round the fact that next month im trying for a baby!!!!

jbells · 02/11/2010 19:45

bebe- i really cant forsee them costing much more the only extra expense i see is 2 sets of nappies but im hoping to potty train DD not long afta next one arrives fingers crossed, everything else is going to be handed down from DD apart from clothes if its a boy and even then, i think ill get given a lot from friends with boys etc, think finances can sometimes be an excuse to hide behind, my DP is still saying how we r going to struggle with the xtra cost etc

hope everyone else is ok, having a really bad nite so going to run of quick and try and watch something to cheer me up, sometimes men really drive me crazy but wont go into that, speak to u all in the morning

bebejones · 02/11/2010 20:00

JBells - Sorry you are feeling down. :( Watching some trashy TV will pick you up!

I'm hoping that DD will be potty trained by then (she will be 3 by the time the next one arrives) so we will only have 1 lot of nappies to get (and possibly night ones for DD, but that's not much). And all of DHs sisters have boys near DDs age so will get hand me downs from all of them if we have a boy. Have alot of neutral stuff that I have saved anyway. Agree that the financial excuse is something to hide behind. Once you have one, you have had the biggest outlay (sorry 1st timers Blush) I suppose that DHs 'issue' is that if I am ill he will have to take time off to look after us all, and being self-employed he won't get 'paid' if he doesn't work. But that's not an issue that will ever go away! :(

It is bloody freezing here tonight & the wind is howling down the side of our house! Am nursing a mug of hot chocolate & have treated myself to a couple of small cookies.

Sending virtual cups of hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows to you all, George & Jake are coming round with fluffy slippers & sexy but warm pyjamas! Wink
