Was just checking in on my phone and saw your news Rosie so had to do a quick post and say congrats :) My BFP with DS was 9dpo so dont worry too much that it's still early. Hope it's a sticky one for you and a lovely smooth pregnancy :)
Btw, Wiltshire is a beautiful part of the country :)

fedupttcnosuccess · 26/09/2010 10:31

Rosie: many congratulations, fingers crossed that you have a happy uneventful nine months xxx

rosieposey · 26/09/2010 10:45

Ah thank you so much. I still don't believe it because I have no symptoms - just waiting for the sore boobs to kick in, I know its early but I had sore boobs at this stage with ds so will be a bit more relieved to get some actual symptoms.

Essence it is lovely here :) I lived in surrey before here and whilst surrey has some very pretty bits we are right on the doorstep of the Cotswolds and there is always somewhere pretty to visit.

ljg72 · 26/09/2010 10:56

Congratulations RosieSmilex

essenceofSES · 26/09/2010 11:02

rosie - I'm in Surrey Grin

Hello ljg and fedup

rosieposey · 26/09/2010 11:17

Lol essence - I was in guildford and the surrey hills are gorgeous. I'm just bias about wilts because I live here now :)

essenceofSES · 26/09/2010 11:21

Ah! I'm on the eastern side of the Surrey hills near Reigate :)

Right - DH has banished me and DS to my parents' for lunch whilst he paints the kitchen so I think I'd best get ready!

Hope you all have a good day!

Keziahhopes · 26/09/2010 13:29

Congrats ~Rosie

boba82 · 26/09/2010 14:15

Congratulations rosie Smile

How's everyone else doing?

Got myself a wee netbook so I'm back in the modern world thank God!

Trying v hard to stay relaxed but TBH I'm starting to feel a bit down about everything again. On holiday I was really able to forget about our troubles TTC, not even back a week and it's starting to smother me again. Anyone have any advice on how to get my PMA back?

Keziahhopes · 26/09/2010 15:59

Hi boba - glad holiday good and you have that wee netbook.

PMA? I find I always dip low after a hol, no matter what so recognising it helps me. Do you know what your next step forward is? For me having it on the calender (even if rough date etc) helps. x

Lychees · 26/09/2010 18:59

Evening All, been offline for a while as I've been back with the folks.

Congrats Rosie!

I have my HSG tomorrow ... feeling a bit nervous about it.

Boba, sorry you're feeling down again. I have no tips as I have really bad swings from being totally pessimistic to being quite optimistic. All I can say is that it's a rocky journey but your PMA will come back.

Starlet22 · 26/09/2010 19:00

Rosie!!! Congrats!!! GrinGrin

Starlet22 · 26/09/2010 19:15

Keziah - so you're having ICSI in November? That's great! Am pleased things are finally moving for you. You never know, with a stress free month ahead you may well get your BFP naturally! Anyway, do keep us posted with your progress.

I'm due to have a scan when they do the hycosy - couldn't get it this month as they are too busy already and probably won't get it done next month as we'll be on hols but at least things are moving along now. In the meantime, I'll persevere with the CBFM - you never know....!!

Izzy - I agree with Rosie - keep a look out for your thermal shift to be certain that you are actually ovulating. Not everyone ovulates every month so I shouldn't worry about it if you don't see a shift every month.

Boba - sorry you're feeling down. I don't know what to say - am starting to get quite upset myself. Up until now I think I've held it together quite well but what with difficulties TTC and my job (which I'm fed up with) it makes life a bit tough at times. All I can say is that the little things in life make me smile. DH made me a cake yesterday (first time he has ever made a cake from scratch) and it was yummy - he was so proud and I was so happy that he put so much effort into it for me Grin. Plus it was yummy Grin Grin

Keziahhopes · 26/09/2010 20:43

Starlet thanks. It will have been 11 months from first referral and tests to treatment, so do take some heart ... had lots of down times during these months. Unfortunately for us the HSG test didn't help natural conception and we are not able to do clomid or IUI due to my dh's morphology issues etc, which is a bit scary. Startlet you many not need fertility treatment - your hol may be it, hope so! Yum to your cake.

BabyHoping · 27/09/2010 07:42

Congrats Rosie! How sensitive was your test?

rosieposey · 27/09/2010 09:17

Morning, thanks for all the congratulations however i feel a bit silly as i may have jumped the gun a little. After three days of positives including yesterday morning i did a first response yesterday lunchtime and it was negative, so was the one yesterday evening and this morning so i think its a chemical. babyhoping i got some really sensitive tests from ebay 10miu and 20miu - the same can be bought from amazon. The only problem with these are they will pick up an early implantation with only minimal hcg in your system - yesterday mornings lines were really strong and the day before they were fairly easy to see too obviously by this morning i would have been expecting to see even stronger ones not a blank test, coupled with those negatives later on in the day yesterday it means that it just didnt work out.

This happened to me at the beginning of the year too when i first started ttc, im not feeling that sorry for myself as i know this is a common thing and after all the sad news on this thread i feel i have little to complain about.

Next month i intend to have no htps in the house lol - going to keep and eye on my temps and do it that way, if i get to 14 dpo and they are still up then i will go out and buy a test. This mornings temps were up but mine dont seem to drop until i actually start af, last chemical pg i had af was about 4 days late so im hoping to see af by next weekend fingers crossed.

lychees good luck for today with your hsg.

Boba sorry you are feeling so rubbish :( real life can be like that sometimes and it seems even worse when youve been able to leave it behind when on holiday. Youve only been back a week so give yourself some time and you will get back into the swing of things hopefully.

starlet you too, hope you manage to keep positive and not let things get on top of you. I am very impressed that your DH made a cake for you! Envy

keziah i didnt know the wait was 11 months between referal and treatment, is it usually that long? I guess for some couples it might be even longer? I am glad you are getting ICSI in November, how exciting! Also in the meantime as starlet says, it might still happen.

Well im going to be with you lovely ladies for a while longer it seems, which is good because you are all lovely and supportive :) Every cloud has a silver lining.

StormBird · 27/09/2010 13:07

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had lovely weekends...

Rosie I'm wishing you all the luck in the world that you can test again in a few days and get another positive. I have my fingers crossed for you. It sounds like you have a good attitude towards the outcome though whether its positive or not. I hope you can maintian that PMA but we are here for you when you need us. Smile

Boba Glad you hade a lovely holiday. on the PMA front my friend tried Meditation. I know it all sounds a bit 'Peace Maaan' but it really worked for her. I think she may have bought some meditation CD's from amazon or something. I hope you can lift your spirits soon hun.

Lychees Good luck with your HSG today hunny.

SES I work in Reigate - live in Cheam, Small world eh!!!

Starlet Can I have some cake pleeeeease Grin

CD23 for me. According to all my stats temps and Monitor should have OV'd CD17 - which is quite late for me (may have said all this on an earlier post but I'm too lazy to check). So 6DPO and Temps are UP UP UP!! Really trying not to get my hopes up and I have no urge to test which is good but Basal is 36.01 - CD1 Temps are usually low 35ish and temp today has risen again to 36.51. Its doesn't sound much but for me this is quite significant as I haven't recorded a temp rise at 6DPO it usually a dip and I have definately not recorded a temp this high before. Finger Crossed Smile

Well we're into yet another week of WORK WORK WORK. I am so going to win the euromillions on Friday so I can quit!!

Speak to you all soon xxxx

Hello all - rosie sorry the lines seem to have vanished Sad. It is still early, so maybe it's just a wobble and you'll get your BFP in a couple of days - will keep my fingers crossed.

stormbird - fx for you too!!

Well my CBFM finally went up to peak yesterday which I think means OV today - not ideal as day 18 out of 28 which seems a bit too late Sad but better than nothing!!! No idea why I had so many highs first though (6 days)?!

Hope everyone else is doing ok x

keep positive ladiesxxx

essenceofSES · 27/09/2010 21:25

Rosie - ttc can be so cruel with it's rollercoaster of ups and downs. When are you going to test again?

Feddup - painting is good thanks for asking! We've actually had a lovely kitchen extension built over the last few months and the colour schem is fairly neutral terracotta/stone with a few green accessories. Also lovely new 7-ring Belling range and huge double door fridge/freezer :)

Storm - you're v close by me then as I'm north of Reigate about 2 miles off the A217 near Chipstead!
Hope this month is your month - sounds promising!

Hello everyone else :)

I've had a peak on CBFM and a +ve OPK today so should be GOFing tonight but DH fell and hurt his knee yesterday - the kneecap actually popped out of place and back in and he is in a lot of pain so don't think there's much chance of anything tonight. Feels like there's always something going against us :(

fedupttcnosuccess · 27/09/2010 22:16

Essence: sorry about your dh. Try and pop some painkillers down his neck and jump him! I did that a few cycles ago when my dh hurt his knee after a football match. Kitchen sounds good. You'll probably be a slave to the stove for a while then, you goddess you!

Keziahhopes · 27/09/2010 22:43

Ses that kitchen sounds lovely - especially your range and f/f!! Ouch to dh, and timing.

Rosie sorry to hear of your chemical. No it wasn't 11mths from referral to treatment, but took 11mths on NHS for all tests - as dh had to have 4 SA's, with 3 month gaps between some, as that is where issues are. Also blood tests for me and repeated ones, waits at clinics, me in hosptial for septacaemia didn't help, a HSG, 2 internal scans to check things out and so it went on. But what it does mean is we hopefully now know what the issues are so they can be treated! Also with my immune problem I have to see an obstetrician to see how to treat me if get pregnant, so that has added 2 months on!
