KnackeredCow · 01/10/2010 14:02

Welcome Paula

What cycle day are you on at the moment - will then add your stats x

essenceofSES · 01/10/2010 15:32

Welcome Paula :)

Keziah - hope you're feeling better. I agree, absolutely ridiculous the way you were treated Angry

BabyHoping - really sorry to see you go but I do understand. Take care and really hope you get your BFP. Do pop by if you ever feel inclined!

KC - sorry you're feeling down. The weather really doesn't help either, does it! Have you anything nice planned for the weekend?

Storm - I'm still hopeful for you! Any other symptoms?

emmylou - I've known a couple of other people on MN that have used pre-seed and I'm sure one of them got pg the second cycle they used it - def worth a go!

Hello everyone else - Lychees, Boba, feddup, Rosie, PinkCustard, Emma, Starlet, ljg and anyone else I've missed!

Sucha miserable day here but I'm looking forward to a good weekend of telly! Strictly, XFactor and Downton Abbey!

Lychees · 01/10/2010 16:41

Welcome Paula, hope your stay here is brief in the nicest possible way.

KC

Keziah hope you better v soon.

I'm still getting lows today ... think I might get another one of those sneaky peaks that sneaks up on you.

Anyone doing anything nice this weekend?

KnackeredCow · 01/10/2010 16:58

Thanks essence and Lychees

I am looking forward to Strictly, X Factor and Downton too. DH doesn't share my views though....

Is the weather completely miserable everywhere? It's rained all day here - would have liked to have spent the day under the duvet.

On Sunday it will be two years since DH & I got engaged. I am hoping he might remember. Flowers would be really nice, but he is a bloke so I am not getting my hopes up

DH tells me that once you are wed, only the wedding anniversary matters. I had the date inscribed on the inside of his wedding ring so he can't forget!

Lychees FX you get that peak soon!

Storm Any news?

Keziahhopes · 01/10/2010 17:16

Thanks for well wishes, the stronger antibiotics from gp are helping but 3 days off work not good and it is only Sept (teacher!!)

Good tv on - agree!! Helpful as not got out of bed yet... isn't it awful when we think, it is ok to be ill now, only cd3!!!

KC - wow, my dh wouldn't remember that anniversary! Couldn't you book a surprise meal out for him and tell him why?!!

boba82 · 02/10/2010 09:47

Welcome paula

Hope you feel a bit better now KC and do let us know if DH remembers. He's some man if he does!

Glad you're on the mend keziah

I too am loving Strictly!

Letter arrived yesterday so I gave appointment on 12th October for my HSG under anaesthetic. Feeling a wee bit nervous but so glad appt has turned up. Off out tonight for girly cocktails so looking forward to that.

Hope you all have a good weekend. x

OP posts:
Keziahhopes · 02/10/2010 23:27

boba great you have that apt - and a general too Smile - I found I had a big increase in EWM after my HSG, I sort of felt more fertile that month! Unfortunately was ill, so ...

StormBird · 03/10/2010 07:38

Hi Everyone,

I know its early on a Sunday but have had a very restless nights sleep (don't know why) but am at my MIL's in Nottingham - cannot wait to get home to my own massive big bed where DP doesn't feel like he's sleeping on top of me!!

Boba great to see you got your appointment, I hope it all goes well for you hun.

Keziah your health is what matter hunny, F* work but glad you are feeling better.

KC I'm not married so we don't have the all important Wedding Anniversary to celebrate yet but we both still celebrate the day we met 4th July 2006 every year. I would expect my DP to remember dates like when he proposed when he finally does but thats probably cos he's got a memory to die for. He can sometimes make me feel like I'm going senial (is that how you spell it).....

Welcome to Paula hope you enjoy being part of this thread and also take a bit of comfort from it too, if I do say so myself we are a lovely bunch and the support you get is second to none. (Storm Pass the tissues round to all the hormonal women she just made blubb).

Well no news from me, but no news is good news at the mo, Temps are still high. They dropped a little but have now begun to rise again. I am due AF in the next few days but really hoping she doesn't make an appearance. So keep those fingers crossed.

Thats it from me as I dare not say too much in case I jinx it. Will be travelling back home today and we're just hoping that the normally 2hr journey doesn't take us 7hrs like it did on Friday. So if I'm not too tired I will check MN this evening and maybe post again.

Have a lovely sunday girls. Speak soon.

xxxx

Got my peaks yesterday and today with no highs beforehand, as expected but had a horrible 24 hour stomach bug which started on Friday evening. I thought I felt queasy because I was stood with my face almost in the musty-smelling waist-length dreadlocks of a fellow tube commuter on the way home but no ..... I've been really ill. Feeling much better now though.

Boba, glad you have your appointment soon.

Keziah, hope the antibiotics start making a difference soon.

Storm, hope your journey home isn't too bad.

Hi everyone else.

EmmaC29 · 03/10/2010 14:55

Hi Girlies and hi Paula I've not posted much on here since i joined either, not really got much to report ATM - starting the CBFM on Fri 8th Oct well pressing the M button anyway!

Hope it helps us out - i've bought 40 sticks too - so hopefully they'll keep me going - hoping i won't actually have to use all of them though if you know what i mean! [smile} xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/10/2010 16:06

Hello all - just checking in as I've been a bit slack at posting over last few days.

Welcome to emma and paula - hope you don't have to stay here too long IYKWIM.

stormbird - you are being very restrained in not POASing yet! I've only just started temping this month but from what I can gather staying high or getting higher when AF should be on her way is a very very good sign - fx it's good news for you soon!

No news here, am on cd24/28-29 so frantically trying not to symptom-spot at all. Since my temp and CBFM agree that I ov'd on cd18, it seems my luteal phase is only about 10 days. I've started taking b6 to try and lengthen it, but suspect it's all too little, too late this month and am not really holding out much hope. I've been considering acupuncture to try to sort it out, has anyone had any experience of acupuncture esp for cycle/LP problems? Did it help?

Also CBFM is asking for 20 sticks again this month, grr! Is it going to do this to me every month because I ov fairly late? It's just that it's going to get expensive!

Sorry for not name-checking more, will try to catch up properly later >

Keziahhopes · 03/10/2010 16:52

Hi to Emma Paula - hope all goes well with using CBFM.

Storm - I agree with you, support here lovely. So ignoring whether using CBFM please may I stay on this thread? Hope journey ok too

Got up and dressed today - woo! Better go and rescue dh, he is making blackcurrant jam Grin

paula123gym · 04/10/2010 10:27

Hi, on day 35 today. m is flashing but did a test and still says negative.

paula123gym · 04/10/2010 10:28

Thank you to everyone for the welcome too!
I've been on twenty sticks both uses so just bought another pack, will be worth it in the end!x

KnackeredCow · 04/10/2010 10:56

Morning Ladies

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Keziah glad to hear you are up and about again. Blackcurrant jam - I am extremely impressed with MrKeziah .

Paula FX for you!

IzzyWizzy Hopefully once the CBFM works out your cycle it should start asking for tests later so that you don't keep having to use 20 sticks!

Storm Hope the journey back was OK. You are being so restrained. I think I might have to go and POAS for you as the suspense is killing me. Grin I do admire you for holding off - I wish I could be that good when AF due.

MrKnackered did remember it was two years sinc getting engaged. I was hoping for flowers, but I got smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast in bed so I was pretty pleased.

Keziahhopes · 04/10/2010 12:45

KC - so am I!! And impressed with MRKC - breakfast in bed, wow!

Thanks for all positive comments from being ill, was so scared I would get septacaemia again, but my temperature broke on Sat and my blood pressure raising again!

PinkCustard · 04/10/2010 15:22

IzzyWizzy I usually Ov around day18 too and my CBFM only asks me for 10 sticks a month now and doesn't make me start poas until day 10 so I'm sure yours will do the same.

My B6 tablets have just arrived - are they definitely safe to take? Izzy have you had any negative side effects from them? The box says 'It is advisable to take these tablets for short periods of time.' And more worryingly 'Long term intakes of this amount of vitamin B6 may lead to mild tingling and numbness' ??? Shock

PinkCustard · 04/10/2010 15:25

PS October is officially Sex Month in the Custard household. I have given us the rest of this year to get preg and then I'll have to somehow persuade DH to get himself down to the docs for his SA if it hasn't happened by the New Year. Am obviously trying to be hopeful that we'll be successful by then and DH just thinks it's no big deal and we're bound to get preg soon...maybe I should try to be more like him and worry about it less...Hmm

essenceofSES · 04/10/2010 21:12

PinkCustard - as a pharmacist, I can tell you a little about B6 Grin
I'm not sure what dosage you have but until about 6yrs ago, you could buy it off the shelf easily in doses of 50mg. There were a few isolated incidents where it had caused numbness and tingling and so a restriction was put on it to sell it at 10mg dose only. The incidence of side effects were very isolated though and this was purely precuationary. In my 15yrs experience, I have never had a patient come back with these side effects.
My advice to you would be to take it without worry or concern but just an awareness that if you do experience tingling or numbness then stop taking it immediately.
LOL at October being sex month Grin
Really hope you get your BFP before January.

Keziah - I'm really pleased you've managed to fight this latest illness off without the awful septicaemia you've had before.

KC - V impressed with your DP! My DH doesn't really see the point of succumbing to "commercial hype" over anniversaries and Valentines. He normally makes a token effort though so I can't really complain!

Paula & Izzywizzy - yes, hopefully the investment in sticks will pay off for you :)

EmmaC - not long until Fri 8th!

Lychees - sorry for stomach bug and YUK! at musty dreadlocks!!

All ok with me. A fairly relaxed weekend with some good telly. Back at work today and the treadmill continues!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/10/2010 07:38

Just a quick post for pinkcustard I've been taking 50mg of b6 and no, no side effects. Like essence says I would just stop if I got any. However the precautionary leaflet does refer to "long term" use and obviously I'm hoping I won't need them "long term"!!

Not sure what happens if you do get pg though, do you carry on taking them for a bit or stop straight away?

paula123gym · 05/10/2010 12:24

Great news and a very short stay on this forum. Did a test this morning, three all positive seems the one I did last week was just too early. Over the moon and could not have done it without the monitor as my periods and ovulation date vary every month. Fingers crossed for everyone! :-)

KnackeredCow · 05/10/2010 12:52

Thanks Essence and Izzy I think my tablets are 100mg but box is downstairs so will check later. You've both put my mind at rest though. Although Izzy I also wondered about that, I think I'd stop taking them as soon as I found out I was preg.
