The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

My poor DH. Yesterday I told him I had encouraging upduff symptoms, then today I tell him I seem to have full blown GRRR PMT, meaning not upduff. His face just fell.

Still feel a bit sick, but think that's ovaltine related.

Also think that my PMT is really bad because I haven't had it for the last 2 months and my body is in a bit of shock. Does that make sense? So anyway shall be picking up tampons rather than pee sticks in the shop tomorrow. And possibly heart attack inducing sized bar of chocolate and bag of chips if I keep on feeling like this (and there'll be no sharing gRRRR..) (which of course is daft because I'll never lose weight eating like that!).

I honestly don't mind what happens this month, just as long as my body gets itself back to normal! (I haven't even started on the persistant pain in my side)

Nervous apparently you're not alone in the big long spiel thing! Good luck with the swimmers injection Wink

I was just going to lurk and play it cool this week, but instead my body has gone loopy and I need to moan. Oh for a normal 2WW! I'll be okay after a good night sleep honest! (and maybe that junk food)

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 05/10/2010 19:28

PS Hello Escape! Can't answer you raw veg, pant snot question, but it is the kick up the arse I need to stop procrastinating about getting healthier again. Grin

baby2b · 05/10/2010 21:04

Sore tummy like AF is on its way, but it is a week earlier than my normal 28 days and I was expecting AF to be late because of late ovulation? Confused

NervousNelly · 05/10/2010 22:45

escape thinks we rock :). Welcome to you, you sound like you are in the right place, albeit with a small delay in the actual JSing!

nomore boo to the no-up-duffed-ness Confused if that's what it is. When are you actually due, if you know?

baby2b that's rubbish for you too, my body played silly buggers with me last month too, spotting started a week before AF was due, which led to me thinking it was implantation. Instead it was just an early period. Angry

More confessions updates from me Blush. Just ordered a thermometer and a bunch of cheapie tests from t'internet; as well as a pack of (bargain) clearblue digital HPTs in case the cheapies say yes. Or maybe even if they say no Hmm. However if last month is anything to go by, ERTD will arrive early again and I won't get a chance to use them :(. I was a bit shocked to see you can by the Clearblue from Amazon "New or Used". Pre-peed HPT anyone? . I think (assuming I don't get PG this month) I will chart mucus and temps, but no peeing on sticks.

No luck with swimmers injection yet. OH is playing Call of Duty on the x-box; don't fancy my chances much! If I parade around naked in front of him, he'll just shout at me to move cos he's dying Hmm.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 06/10/2010 08:43

Nervous am due on Sat, although wouldn't be surprised if it arrives early due to early ov (thus meaning still have short luteal phase).
PSML at you hubby yelling at you cause he's dying btw Grin

Have woken up with a raging desire to eat a lot of M&S's rosemary, garlic and salt chips. WTF is it with me and ships this week? I like the damn things, but never crave them like this! Am resolving to be like Escape and eat more fruit and veg instead. I can do it, I can!

JosieSmith1 · 06/10/2010 09:06

Hee hee, sorry my weekend made you Envy Nervous Grin. And how dare your job get in the way of MNing, so selfish Grin Yes I?m technically on my 2ww but pretending I?m not so I don?t think about it as much Grin Still pretending it?s fertile time and JSing like rabbits (when we?ve got the energy) in the hope of tricking myself and before I know it it?ll be testing time Grin PMSL at your DH shouting at you to get out of the way when parading naked! My DH would be exactly the same GrinGrin All of my usual ?tricks? become annoying when he?s watching his program or playing his game.

Hi Escape, no interesting comments on the veg and pant snot I?m afraid! I?m no help I know Grin

Not quite related to PMT NoMore but when I was on the pill if I missed a period the next one would be more painful, makes sense that PMT would build up too and be worse if you haven?t had it for a while Confused

Nothing to report here. Yes it?s 2ww but not feeling anything again so not getting hopes up just yet but trying to forget about it if that?s possible Hmm. Got cross country comp with horsey on sunday but not 100% about doing it now just with the weather, and it?ll cost me £50 I don?t have.

Hope everyone is ok anyway, sorry if I?ve missed anyone. Hugs to all that need them on this wet and miserable morning x

takethatlady · 06/10/2010 09:19

Hey escape welcome to the madness fun and games. PMSL nervous, that's funny. You're obviously killing him with your gorgeousness Grin. Yep, Spooks is on on Mondays at 9...

nomorechoc those chips sound amazing. I've never had them and even I am craving them now. Good luck with the end of your 2ww. Can't believe you're on your second 2ww since the mc in August - I'm still clowning around on the same old bloody cycle. Day 50 over here. Encouragingly though, after some (slightly strange) pant snot the last few days my temp went up to 97.58 this morning. My temps have been between 96.5 and 97.18 for the last 50 goddamn days so hopefully this means I have finally bloody well ovulated. Especially as I have been shagging like a beast this last few days. Seriously, I can't take any more Blush

baby2b hope that tummyache is a good sign Wink. Also HTK let us know about your sneaky test results. loving that you did this. I would totally be doing my bloods all the time if I could.

escape I eat veg and I get a lot of pant snot when ovulation actually happens Grin. No idea if they're correlated though! Whatever works, I say!

takethatlady · 06/10/2010 09:21

PS - josie, I am standing back in awe at your 2ww work :) This is calmness and sanity at a level we have not seen for ages on this thread Grin

Good luck for Sunday if you go for it!

baby2b · 06/10/2010 10:10

I am feeling much better today, so no idea what the cramps were about Hmm.

Going to take a leaf out of Josie's book and try and stay calm over the next 2weeks. Very impressed :)

My only up-date is my health kick went wrong today as I found myself eating a massive pain au chocolate and huge cup of tea for breakfast (wtf, I just got distracted and wrote pregnant rather than breakfast?!)

Hope everyone is having an easy day?

Does anyone have any games or list ideas for today? I'm a wee bit bored at work! :(

NervousNelly · 06/10/2010 10:33

Well turns out death by machine gun WAS more fun than shooting me with his swimmers Hmm. I haven't told him full details of my cycles (trying to retain some romance Wink), so he didn't know it, but last night my body was screaming OVULATING what with the textbook definition slippy stringy egg White pant snot, and the lower abdominal mizzer-whatsit. Denied :( we did JS on Saturday morning and Sunday night though, so guess I'm on the 2ww with the rest of you :)

Look how calm I am......:)

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 11:04

what does ertd mean?
i can work out he rest, but that one's got me flummoxed.
Confused

NervousNelly · 06/10/2010 11:18

Evil red tide of doom. I have a real issue with the AF acronym, so stole this from someone else.

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 11:37

aah, Grin

I don't like AF either, but ERTD is just naaaasty Grin

JosieSmith1 · 06/10/2010 11:42

Ha ha, you might all be impressed now, but just you wait until next week, then the usual obsessive me will be back, just you wait and see Grin

I am supposed to be avoiding chocolate at the minute but yesterday I had half a choccy muffin, a twix, then some Thorntons choccies when I got home, then had 2 bags of crisps Hmm It's not going well Grin

I have a cold though so I have a good excuse for feeding my face. Is it feed a cold, starve a fever, or feed a fever and starve a cold? Hmm

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 11:44

why are you avoiding chocolate?

I very rarely eat it, but fancy some today.
(that's after not fancying anything for breakfast)

I need more milk.

the feed a cold starve a fever has been proven to be bollocks- you should do what feels right in order to get better.
tuck yourself up in a warm blanket/kaftan, with a cup of honey and lemon and a couple of chocloate hobnobs

JosieSmith1 · 06/10/2010 13:23

Oooo Nickel that sounds like a champion idea! Grin Especially the hobnobs! I have a very very fast metabolism and so can eat anything without putting on weight but recently it seems to be slowing down and I appear to be 'spreading' around my stomach, hence cutting down on choccy. I was gonna use the feed a cold as an excuse to stuff my face Grin Have got to ride tonight so will drag DH to the yard with me to help out with the manual labour, then snuggle up on settee with DH, duvet, cuppa and choccy biccies!

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 13:27

ah, to avoid spread around stomach, you have to do belly dancing! it's what i do to keep fit - itworks all the muscles around your middle part and makesthem very flexible (and bendy Wink)

JosieSmith1 · 06/10/2010 15:00

Ooo Nickel that does sound good! I haven't got the time or money to do a proper class so you will have to teach me Grin

Might give it a bash actually, that's the only place I seem to be putting it on, always had chunky tree trunk legs so not really bothered about those, just the stomach and waist becoming a problem.

nickelbabe · 06/10/2010 16:05

there's a channel on sky that has a bellydancing lady.

You have to make sure you find one for beginners, though, because I did one of hers that was for intermediates and it was bloody hard! Shock

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 06/10/2010 16:18

Oh Nickle! Choc hobnobs! I just remembered I was meant to get Hubby caramel digestives. Opps. Forgot tampons too, so guess will have to go back to the super market on Sat anyway.
Think you will have to run a belly dancing class, cause I don't have sky and REALLY need to get myself sorted. Pilates is great, but not quite enough.

Managed a shop with no chips or chocolate honest [sweet and innocent, lying through my teeth face].

Eskarina · 06/10/2010 18:26

All your talk of biscuits has just reminded me that I have chocolate caramel digestives downstairs, and I am seriously tempted to go and get them. In fact I think I only have them because someone further up the thread reminded me of their existence.

Whispered question for those who chart temps: what on earth does it mean that my temp has dropped by .5 degree (C)around the time I possibly might be ovulating?? I have no real symptoms of ovulating except pant snot this morning (but not during the day). But then I didn't get any signs that I ovulated at all last month. My last cycle was 34 days, so I would have thought that ovulating now on CD 12 seems unlikely.

In other news, I'm seriously p'd off today that I received a coat I bought from ebay. It's missing the belt, is dirty, and absolutely reeks of smoke. I contacted the seller to see what she will do about it, but I doubt I'll get a refund. Gnuh.

alien06 · 06/10/2010 18:44

hey, room for another?
been TTC for 3 months now, about to go into my 4th cycle with ERTD around the corner :(
GEtting stressed and depressed with it , and its not even been that long! I have no idea how to not obsess with it :0( everyone around me is getting preggers and they are doing everything wrong in the doctors eyes- overweight, smokers, drinking whilst preggers - grrrr and have no money to raise them with at all, rant over!
why cant I get pregnant?! GRRrrrrrrrrrrr

Eskarina · 06/10/2010 19:14

Hi Alien welcome aboard. Sorry to hear TTC is getting you down. It does seem that the moment one decides to go for it that everyone around suddenly sprouts a bump with apparently zero effort!
If you've read some of the ramblings on this thread you'll see that we're not that good at not obsessing, and take it in turns to send a slap with a metaphorical wet kipper to each other when we get too carried away.

I am proud to report that I resisted my chocolate caramel digestives. I ate a Mr Kipling mini bakewell tart instead Blush

BrassicaBabe · 06/10/2010 20:28

Hi, not been able to read posts. Work and pesky student getting in the way. Having a head fuck re clomid this month too. It's most certainly baby-fail for me this month even though I'm only cd12.

Anyway, just a quick post to say hi and that I still love you Blush. I'll be back to post properly and catch up soon x

OP posts:
NervousNelly · 06/10/2010 20:48

Oh Eskarina I just LOL'd at your resisting digestive temptation Grin. On the plus side, Bakewells have fruit in them - so that's one of your 5 a day taken care of Wink. Hope that cheered you up about your coat fiasco. Boo hiss to them :(

Welcome Alien . As you can see, we're in no way stressed about ttc here Hmm.

brassica. Bloody bloody useless bodies and drugs and stuff :(

Good news from me is, I should be getting my lovely car back tomorrow, yeah! Only 4 weeks to repair a minor bump, great customer service Angry. It bettered be Valet'd to within an inch of it's life. I'll be giving the Meriva a fond kicking on the way back to the hire car company, ha ha!
