Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

Evening ladies!

Garden That's sucky, but it is still very early.

Josie Come and symptom spot with me, pleeeeease, I am starting to crack and I don't even know if I ovulated this month! I work in Inverness, so might be a bit of a commute for you lol.

Flick I hate all these announcements too, I'm expecting another one any day now! My OH is starting to get it, but I've been wanking on about this for years now so he has no chance lol.

Lanky Hope you're alright.

Highheels Sorry you're having a bad day, have some Victoria Sandwich.

I have bitten the bullet and booked myself in for reflexology next week, quite excited, and feeling chilled already! Grin I got my free tests today as well, so now I have 22 PMSL, oh dear... Now for my imaginary symptoms, I've had odd crampy pains on the left side of my abdomen for the last few days, then today I've had some spotting (for the first time in my life, apparently my body wants to play with me) I'm exhausted (which has nothing to do with me not sleeping due to OH's snoring) and I got carsick on the way home from work today. So what do we think? Shall I get OH to start painting the nursery Wink

HRHCavey · 16/09/2010 19:25

Evening ladies.

Garden sorry that you did not get the result we were all hoping for. I hope we did not put too much pressure on you. As others have said, it ain't over till ERTD shows up.

Toria your sympoms sound very promising! Keeping fingers, toes and tubes crossed for you!

Flick MrF sounds like he needs a bit of a kick up the bum! I know men dont "get" our irrational concerns, but they sure as heck ought to show some tact or have the good grace to STFU!

alien sorry you had such a tough morning. Perhaps you should feed them all plenty of sugary treats JUST before hometime and see how their parents like it!

This will be my last post for a few days as DH and I are off to Prague for the weekend tomorrow. We're back on Monday so I'll check in then.

happy weekend all, and keeeeeep shagging!

Bellaby · 16/09/2010 20:12

Evening All

Garden sorry to hear about the test. Still keeping everything crossed for you

Claire you probably aren't still lurking but it's so lovely to hear from you and I'm so happy that you are happy Grin

HRCavey have a fantastic time in Prague - somewhere I've always wanted to go.

Lanky I hope everything is ok. Been keeping an eye out for you. I didn't tell my family yet but will be seeing my Mum a couple of days after the scan so will tell her then if all is well.

Flick poor you with the announcements. Just keep positive - it will be your turn very soon

Hello to everyone else

Have a lovely evening

Bellaby

alien06 · 16/09/2010 20:15

Toria I agree with HRHCavey your symptoms sound very promising!! Fingers crossed :)

HRHCavey have a super time in Prague :)

Toriajayne · 16/09/2010 20:50

HRHCavey Have a fab time in Prague! It's on my list Grin

Alien missed you last time due to OH hovering and wittering about the pub, my last placement before I decided teaching wasn't for me was with 27 seven year olds, I feel your pain! Second giving them lots of sugar before hometime, we used to do that on Friday afternoons

Thanks for the crossed appendages girls, I'm pretty sure it's psycho-somatic and that my drama queen body feels guilty about giving me gastritis in my last 2WW so is making up for it by driving me insane this cycle but we'll see. It gives me an excuse not to go mental celebrating my aunt's birthday this weekend and leave the stupid antics to my (much younger) cousins...

Florin · 17/09/2010 08:22

Morning Ladies!
I am entering my 2dw (2 day wait) the last couple of days where I am obsessively watching for me to start spotting. I know I will spend most of today at work in the loos obsessively checking. Feeling a little down as just know it will turn up and I will be dissapointed again. The idea of seeing 2 lines appear seems like something that will never happen. Doesn't help that I am working all weekend at the Southampton Boat show so going to be mega busy-although at least that will distract me a bit too!
Missflick I know what you mean about dh just not getting it. Mine doesn't either he thinks it will happen when its meant to happen (isn't that the most annoying phrase I might have to hit him if he uses it again this month!) although he has realised whatever he thinks he knows it really does knock me for 6 for a couple of days. Last month I cried myself to sleep the first night ertd turned up and then a day or so later someone I know announced on facebook that they were pregnant with a happy accident and that set me off all over again. Think he is learning to shut up and just cuddle me lots and pamper me a bit (and serve me a glass bottle of wine!
Alien hope all your students are better behaved today, I have a huge respect for primary school teachers
garden good luck with the next testing as everyone says its not over until ERTD turns up and many people have had bfn before there bfp so fingers crossed for you.
Right I have put it off long enough must run off to work. Hope everyone has a good Friday!

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 08:52

Ooo Toria!! Sounds promising. I am avoiding symptom spotting but seeing as you asked nicely!

I have had cramps late last wk but nothing since then and they were nothing major, no spotting but some creamy discharge which is still going on. Had butterfly like twinges last wk and slight ovary pain too. I am absolutely shattered and feel slighty nauseaous(sp?) at times.

All of which has nothing to do with my having a cold Grin or being up with drunk DH and BiL last night (that's a whole other moan Grin)

I'm not sure I ovulated this month either. Had the pains but at funny times and none of the frantically wanting to jump DH like normal, and had this discharge since so a bit Confused until ERTD arrives or doesn't, which is due today so we'll see. Last month I had pains on the thu before it was due but nothing yesterday so we'll see. I don't usually get any advance notice of it arriving so it could still show it's head at any moment

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 09:36

Also, there's an uneaten twix and half pack of choccy digestives in my draw, which is unheard of! They're usually long gone within minutes! So obviously I'm not as hungry as normal (and nothing to do with the fact that the other half of the biccies pack has been eaten rather quickly, and that there was a lot of choccy munching before that too!)Grin

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 09:50

Cross-post Florin (my I'm being a pest already today!)

I'm due ERTD today so I suppose I'm in the 0dw! Grin. I took advantage of DH's drunken state last night to tell him that we need to really try and he agreed whole heartedly (he gets really enthusiastic when he's drunk Grin) and said he was desperate too. So I explained how disappointed I am every month and how it's frustrating when I know we didn't try our hardest. We'll see if he remembers anything today!

LankyLegs · 17/09/2010 10:51

Hi Ladies

Apologies in advance for me me me post!

Sorry for absence - mixture of feeling a bit shitty and also manic at work.

Scan on Wednesday went well - all clear - no cysts, ovaries looking good - hurrah! Acupuncture - very interesting. Felt spaced out afterwards and also my ERTD pains have been less. So FERTD arrived today for me - so whoever does the list can they update my to cycle # 12 CD1.

Will try and catch up later but loads of meetings then have to cook a curry for 3 men this evening. Why did I agree to entertain on first day of ERTD?!

Hope everyone is ok.

Garden sorry about the BFN - hope you are feeling ok. It is early though. Also hope your mum's party is fun this weekend.

Flick my lovely - you are a little tinker - thanks for being lovely ! Nuff said!

Waves to Bella, Toria, Josie, Florin, Highheels, Rabserry , Truff, kkas and everyone else - very sweet asking after everything. It's so nice to have a bunch of girls that just get this whole TTC malarky cause it can be pretty crap sometimes. I also have to say I did like the acupuncture - it was really nice talking about the whole TTC thing and she knew every little acronym and test I mentioned - I mean I know it is her job (she specialised in fertility) but still worth it - felt like therapy almost!

Promise will be back when out of doom and gloom and Friday is officially over!

Lorra Love

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 11:11

Hi Lanky, hope you're ok, and hope you're having some of the curry too!

I am absolutely shattered today after being woken up at 10.30pm by DH with drunken BiL in the background who was so off his face I had to get out of bed and go and get them! When I arrived he couldn't stand up and a stranger in the wrong place wrong time had to help get him in the car! Anyway, it was midnight by the time I got home, after 1 when I finally got back to sleep, then was woken up at 6am by next door's crying baby! Then when I got up I found a huge ink stain leaked onto my over £1000 suede settee!! Angry

And all of this while I am ill with a cold and wanted nothing more than to snuggle in my duvet!! Explained to DH that he will feel very guilty if it turns out I am pg too! Honestly, dragging a possibly but possibly not pg woman out of bed! Took advantage of the drunken state to explain about how we need to really try to get pg instead of the odd fumble here or there Grin and how that I am miserable every month when not pg and how frustrating it is when I think it's because we didn't try our best.

My god I can talk!! Sorry!!

gardenpixie · 17/09/2010 11:22

Hello everyone,

Thanks for being so supportive but I did another test this morning and that was quite definitively a BFN (not even a slight hint of a line) so I think I'll just have to reconcile myself to upping the clomid next cycle and seeing what happens.

This is pretty much what happenend when I had a chemical pregnancy earlier on in the year (although that time I had two BFPs) so I guess it could be another one of those. Serves me right for testing too early!

Hope everyone's having a good Friday xx

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 11:43

Sorry to hear that Garden Sad

I POAS last night but it doesn't count as it was one I had already used! Blush

gardenpixie · 17/09/2010 11:46

Josie that is sensible! Next time I get the urge to POAS early then I will do that instead!

Truffkin · 17/09/2010 13:24

Afternoon frolickers and happy Friday

Josie you make me laugh, POTSST (the same stick twice) Grin but Angry about the sofa, I'd be madder than a mad thing. Will be loggin on tomorrow to hear if you are POASing

Lanky sending sweetcheeks, hope you have a great weekend to cheer you up. Agree with Josie eat some of the curry you have slaved over!

Garden sorry so joining in the madness of pressuring you to test Blush and here's to next month, it's definitely your turn I can feel it in my waters....

Florin [cuddles] for you too, hoping the 2DW isn't too painful, looking forward to hearing your news.

Toria symptoms sound promising, fingers tightly crossed and hopeing ERTD stays away

So I'm off now to heard back to Birmingham for a weekend of catching up with friends, watching the Villa get beaten by play Bolton and drunken night out for BIL's birthday. See you on the other side!

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 13:32

Glad to see I've started a new trend of POTSST! Grin

I won't be on until sunday as I'm out tonight (although will probably be sleeping ) and tomorrow is a busy long day so I'll most likely not get on, but if ERTD hasn't arrived by sunday morning I WILL be on here asap, after POAS of course (a new one this time Grin)

Truff beware BiL's birthday, see my earlier post about having to pick up extremely drunken BiL last night! Grin But have a great time!

Florin · 17/09/2010 14:41

josie when we started ttc dh avoided talking about it and never understood why shagging on a particular night wad just so important. I honestly thought the whole process would drive me crazy as we were just not doing it at the right times. It's taken a few months but now my dh talks about having children most of the days and does his own little bit of research about ttc (he doesn't admit to it but he suddenly knows a lot more than he did and I didn't tell him! ) now he understands the process and importants of timing it's so much easier but as I said it's taken ages to get to this point (and a few emotional out bursts from me!) think the thing is we get broody however men don't have the same urge as we do so don't always understand the rush.
Lanky sorry to hear FERTD arrived for you. Look after yourself this weekend and make sure your dh spoils you. Acupuncture sounds good might have to look into that myself, I can understand how just talking about it helps. Sometimes I feel I an stuck in this ttc world that no one else understands
truff thanks for hugs and enjoy Birmingham.
I am trying to avoid the urge to poas going to try hold out till Sunday morning.

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 15:15

Hold on Florin! I will if you will, providing ERTD doesn't arrive before then Grin

DH admitted last night that he's sick of seeing pg couples and got a bit emotional so I think it's really getting to him and he's starting to understand. At least if ERTD does arrive this month I know he's willing to give it his all (pun intended) next time! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 15:53

Bad news girlies - I am spotting Sad

JosieSmith1 · 17/09/2010 16:51

Dagnamit, sorry Florin I'm going to have to opt out, back to day 1, cycle 4 for me Sad

And DH says the ink won't come out! AngryBiscuit

Hello lovelies,

Sorry to be so late with the list today! Had a crazy, busy day at work then went to my reflexology and then came home and have been watching Eastenders, Waterloo Road and making my way through season 1 of Gossip Girl! (needless to say, Mr. F is out! Grin)

Will just be quick as I am in bed coughing my guts up (nice image there!)and feeling very tired but wanted to stop by to say sorry about FERTD to Lanky but good news that your scan was all clear chick and the acupuncture sounds great. It must be so nice to talk the acupuncturist too- I would love to talk to my reflexologist in as much depth but he is Chinese and his English is not very good Confused Good luck cooking the curry and hope you're not having any horrible FERTD aches and pains or crapness today.

garden Hope you're doing ok chick. Any nice weekend plans?

josie Hope the spotting doesn't materialise into FERTD. Keeping everything crossed.Grin laughed so much at your POSST that i had a massive coughing fit. That is a good way to resist the urge. Shock Angry at your sofa :( I would have cried.

florin hang in til Sunday- keep strong!Urghhh... my dh says that too 'It will happen, when it happens' I want to hit him too. It's the only time that he really annoys me actually!

Have a great weekend in Brum truff and enjoy your drunken night out. We'll have the hangover cures at the ready for you!

toria glad you are already feeling chilled about your upcoming reflexology- it's working already!

My ERTD has buggered off now so I am ready to crack on with the SWI this month, We are aiming for every other day this month so wish me luck!

Big waves to everyone else :) will catch up tomorrow. Happy Friday everyone! xx

Toriajayne · 17/09/2010 17:06

Just popping in quickly as we're away for the weekend, have a lovely weekend girls! for Josie Sorry this wasn't your month sweets, and Garden Sorry for you too righ, now I really must go!

See you all soon!

highheelsandequations · 17/09/2010 20:01

Hi girls. Sorry to those of you who've been got by FERTD. I'm still feeling a bit :( so not going to inflict you all to another whinge, hope everyone's having a happy Friday, yay for the weekend!

alien06 · 17/09/2010 22:20

hey everyone hope you are all ok :) Hope those of you that are off away for the weekend have a lovely time.

I have been working my little socks off since I got in from school- still going! Trying to get my work out of the way as I am off to visit MIL tomoz ( arrgh!) and off to London Sunday so want to totally forget about work for once.

The little munchkins are getting better slowly but still not listening very well! I shall sort them out Monday properly as I will be feeling 100% by then hopefully.

Now on my 3rd cycle, so fingers crossed this is the one for a BFP! As usual will be SWI in the correct time period so will see what happens, DH being understanding and just says chill , if nothing happens in a year we ll toodle off to docs and get tested.

A parent of one of my kiddies has just announced her pregnancy so had her rubbing her tummy when picking up her little one today :(

anyway best get back to work! Hope everyone has a fab weekend :0)

xx

raspberrytipple · 18/09/2010 08:44

Good morning frolickers, it seems to have been quite quiet in the three follicles this week! I notice they have split the pages up again - much better!

not much to report here, I am on cycle day 9 and had some EWCM yesterday afternoon. Attempted SWI lateish last night but DP drank a bottle and a half of wine and couldn't finish the job if you know what I mean and has now buggered off on a stag do paintballing then out on the tiles so is not back til tomorrow. I've left strict instructions that he is not to get shot in the goolies or there will be trouble!!! However, it does mean I get the bed to myself tonight. Something I only really appreciate in the mornings to be honest, I miss bed time cuddles otherwise!!

Alien have fun with the MIL - is she a complete monster? Your DP has exactly the same outlook as mine which probably isnt a bad thing as long as they are understanding of our mentalness during 2ww and ovulation days!!

highheels how are you feeling now? You made me chuckle with your 'risked a log-in at work' I do exactly the same, shut the door so I have advanced notice if someone comes in then shut down really quickly! I had a particularly successful two pole lessons this week and have booked into a tricks master class on 17th October which should be good because it's 1-2-1 spotting with my teacher and her helpers so I will have to be mega brave - that is the day for me to try gemini I think! Oh, and when I mentioned working on my caterpillar, I have by no means mastered it, its a very strange feeling trying to push your bottom up if you see what I mean. Mine does not yet look like a caterpilllar!!

missflick good luck with every other day SWI! That is what we are aiming for but last night was a bit of a fail though in that department.... I'll get him tomorrow when he gets home if he's not too hungover!

Florin how's the holding out going? Very proud of your restraint!!! And keep your chin up, you WILL get two lines one day! Fingers crossed that it will be this month x

Josie sorry FERTD got you but at least you know DP is willing to give it a real good go this month, Christmas club here we come!!! Hope things have settled a bit more for you now too hun but it sounds like it might have? Good luck with the ink stain!! What a pain :-(

garden sorry to hear you went through all that! What a nightmare, its so disheartening, I felt horrible when ERTD was late last week then came on the day after I did a test and was miserable for a few days just because I got my hopes up. Hope you dont feel too bad hun.

lanky hope you feel a bit better today even if ERTD will still be with you. Good news about the scan and the acupuncture though

Hello everyone else waves, I have managed to get through the last three or so pages, perhaps there has been more talking than I thought! I am getting up now to tidy my pigsty house, its just disgusting! Then I am collecting my friend for a spa day which he had to delay because of my 2 day ERTD last weekend. I am still not sure I know what happened there, my longest ever cycle I think (well since hitting my 20s and I'm nearly out of them now!) was 30 days. So I have a 32 cycle then only bleed for two days and that was it. I always last four days. Very strange. kkas it wasn't even that painful this time but I usually have painful periods although not usually as bad as ERTD before last. Don't panic girls, I'm not talking myself into being PG and that being a breakthrough bleed because although it was light it was still definitely ERTD :-( I think it was probably just nature's way of mocking me like an idiot.

Well happy Saturday all, have a lovely weekend xx
