Settle down girls settle down as I hand you all a yummy pornstar cocktail complete with a sparkler and tacky umbrella. I take it we are all wearing our fabulous vintage 50's frocks, high heels and have our red lipstick on? Make yourself comfortable in the penthouse... the naked butlers are just heading in with grapes and truffles in trays...

All new first timers welcome - as long as suitable goodies and alcohol are dropped into the penthouse for all to share.

Oh and no AF around here - only FERTD.... Capishe??

Lanky We eneded up doing road safety with them as the older ones are doing cycling profciency at school. I think the stress of them running out in front of cars definitely burnt a few calories! Good luck for your scan and needles!

Flick Glad your results were good news, I was also a bit worried about you. I am also trying to shift a few pounds (my BMI is much higher than yours) so I'm also on the exercise and healthy eating badwagon atm, seems there are a few of us!

Josie Hope the disciplinary isn't too awful, second the question about what kin of business you'd set up?

Morning everyone else, must dash as have just spotted the time and have to get to work, have a good Wednesday!

JosieSmith1 · 15/09/2010 11:50

Thanks Toria, it might not happen anyway but I would quite like the opportunity to tell the manager where to shove it Grin

I am suffering an early-life crisis! I have been a bit stressed about silly little things recently and couldn't figure out why things are bothering me, but I realised this morning that this job has changed so much and targets are ridulous and they're always going on about disciplinaries for the smallest things, I flinch every time the phone rings in case I haven't done something, or have done something, or get otherwise blamed for something going wrong. I'm stressed about my job and didn't even realise it. I hate being admin, it's like you're the bottom of the food chain and get blamed for anything that goes wrong.

Sorry I've been so miserable recently, you must all be sick of comforting me! Blush

MissFlick · 15/09/2010 13:06

Back again- Hopefully to catch up this time.

You are all so lovely worrying about me- it?s strange to think how you worry about people you don?t actually ?know? but you really do dont you?!

Welcome home crazy hope you had the best time!

kkas as I said earlier, sorry about the FERTD but good news about the longer luteal phase and am glad you took the day off too :) Not started running yet but Mr. F is being very bossy about it so I think I will be starting on Monday. I wanted to ask you actually, with the run for 1 min/walk for 1 min do you increase the walk time as you increase the run time or is the walk time always 1 min? Yep- The numbers I can remember off the top of my head (left the rest at work by accident) are FSH: 4 LH: 2.2 and Prolactin 7.5. Hope that helps/is similar? I miss claire too.

lanky sorry your job is poo at the min :( hang in there- not long until your gap year my love. No, the doctor is not certain whether I ovulate or not but she suspects I might not or might ovulate very late so I think she is making a few assumptions there but I am always really cautious about bossing doctors around with my google acquired medical degree Grin Will chat to her more when I go back for my scan on the 15th Oct. I definitely need my arse kicking about exercise please lady! Good luck with scan again and the needling tonight! Big day in the lanky household :) I won?t be back until the morning cos I?ll be asleep when you pop back to update but will be sending positive vibes your way for both. Hop ethere are not too many preggos there :( There were so many at my doctors as it is an Obs&gynae practice- Envy

toria just bought some Brazil nuts in my shopping! Thanks hun and thanks for worrying too. Lets keep each other going on the weight loss. I weight quite a bit but luckily I am tall which helps the BMI :)

josie Nightmare about work. Hope you don?t get disciplined- am sure you won?t. How exciting about your business! Do you know what you will do? Will it be the same line of work that you?re in now? Glad you had a relaxing night last night- you deserve it. Glad your DH is being lovely too hun, amazing what a little note can achieve eh? Wink Oh just read the latest from you- horsey business sounds great! Deep breaths and just think ?It?s only work? You are not miserable and this is what we ar ehere for anyway :)

Hope you had a nice weekend away kurly I forgot when your next appointment is and if you had been given a date for a scan yet?

florin Loving the first episode of Inbetweeners! I feel like I haven?t spoken to you in ages- not even admired your shiny new car yet! Fingers crossed for your ERTD to stay away over the weekend. Definitely with you on visualising the baby whenever I am tempted to eat something naughty. My problem is the exercise- I?m just SO lazy Blush Mr. F has got all bossy about exercise so I have put him in charge of making me do some. That?s how bad I am!

raspberry I didn?t know about Penelope Cruz Shock I had the joy of logging on to my comp this morning to find yet another ?announcement? on FB Envy I watched The Inbetweeners on Channel 4OD on my comp so you might be able to catch it on there?

cave How many sessions a week is the class? That is such an amazing offer and a real big compliment! You must be seriously good. I reckon that if it is not too much of a time commitment then you should go for it! Hope your bran ha recovered from last night?s mathematical challenge! Going to docs in Nov sounds like a plan and also sounds soon so it?s good to have that in mind as a goal to work towards. You know me, I love a timescale! Sending ERTD vibes your way- any developments this morn?

bella Am counting down until 20th Oct with you hun. It will actually fly by I think, it is pretty soon already... How are you feeling? Hope you?re still keeping well and don?t feel too rough. PS. You are always teachers pet Wink Gish, I remember that fright too! Wasn?t it when your DH was away aswell?

highheels The cherry tree is such a thoughtful present and I love it even more after garden shared it?s meaning :) So funny that your DH saw the tree and you told him to pretend he hadn?t seen it! So with you on the marking hun- I think there will be less MNetting for me over the next few weeks as I?ve already allowed a mountain of marking to pile up-despite my best intentions this year! Good on your for getting to Pilates and the reading group- I can?t ever really manage anything after work. I go to bed at 10 every night on a school night too sometimes even earlier Wink The acupuncture will work- alternative therapies sound be another theme for our new thread along with the Christmas Club and the the Three Follicles :) I?d be taking all of the Clomid next cycle too but I am a bad influence.... Grin PS. Agree with bella about the AC

Hi dessie lovely to see you_ I think you?re right about this being a lucky thread!

Sorry for all of the typos- don't have time to check as of fto watch some more of The Wire- it's getting so good! Hope to finish Series 1 over the weekend.

Love to all xxxx

MissFlick · 15/09/2010 13:12

ooops, loads of typos but nevermind! xxx

JosieSmith1 · 15/09/2010 13:47

Thanks everyone, sorry to be a moaner, I promise I'm not always this miserable Grin just needed a rant.

I feel better as I've been researching internet designs and stuffs like that and DH text to say he'd support me all the way and had some good ideas that we can talk about tonight. If it worked I'd be over the moon! The yard I have my horse on is pretty big so I wondered about having a small premises there if I do decide to expand and open an actual shop. That way if people on the yard suddenly found they needed something, they could nip in, and then buy plenty of other things that they didn't need at the same time GrinGrin

MissFlick I do worry about people on here, you've all been so nice to me and supportive since I joined so I want the best for you all and I'm sure everyone else feels the same way

kkas · 15/09/2010 14:04

josie you are getting me really excited to hear about starting your own business and so good that DH is on board too. he sounds lovely :)

flick thanks for the numbers, i'll let you know what mine turn out to be. here's a link to a schedule for beginner runners. it's not exactly the same as the one i used (which was in the rough guide to running) but it's close. running schedule for beginners. hope you enjoy your telly tonight :)

gardenpixie · 15/09/2010 14:25

OK Frolickers I need advice.

First: Please don't shout at me, I know I've been naughty.

But, I was thinking about what if my scan this cycle was actually after I'd ov'd. And then realised if it was, I would be due on tomorrow. Given my parents are staying for a few days as it's my mum's birthday, I thought I'd best POAS just to rule out any pg before getting wasted celebrating mum's 70th.

So, I nipped out and got a CB. After five mins, there was a very faint line but I thought it could be evap so waited. After ten mins - get this, this is really odd - the BOTTOM HALF was a faint but blue line, and the TOP HALF was not really there at all. After another five mins it was more definite but I know you're not meant to read them that late one so I think I have to discount that one.

I know "a line is a line" but what about half a line? What's that???

WTF????

Is this a faulty test? Is only my bottom half pg? (That would make sense, I guess).

Having had a chemical pg before, I just don't know what to make of this. I'm really Confused

No symptoms except slightly achy inguinal glands.

Ergh. So I now have two FR tests and reckon I'll have stored up 4hrs of wee (sorry, TMI Blush) by 5ish.

Oh why why why did I test?

OK, you can all shout at me now ...

luckyseven · 15/09/2010 14:32

garden hmmmm is there a helpline on the box you could call? I called CB before with a monitor question. Just a thought - i hope this works out for you!

gardenpixie · 15/09/2010 14:41

Thanks luckyseven I can't call at the mo as am at work sitting in an open plan office but I might try tomorrow when I'm at home ...

LankyLegs · 15/09/2010 14:47

Damn - just did a really long post garden and then bloody computer crased.

I think the only thing you can do is wait and re-test too. But also make sure you re-test in the morning as it will be more accurate?

Have to run now for appt but will log back in when home!

Eeek - getting excited for you! xx

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 15/09/2010 15:01

Oooo good luck Garden, I hope you're on here first thing in the morning to let us know how you get on! GrinGrin

gardenpixie · 15/09/2010 15:06

will definitely let you know how i get on tomorrow morning ... if I haven't chewed my own arms off in frustration between now and then!

HRHCavey · 15/09/2010 15:17

Garden I don't know what to say really! It could be a faulty test so it is probably best that you test again - preferably with "first pee of the morning" for extra concentration.

Fingers crossed for you.

Flick no sign of ERTD at all - I think my body has taken to mocking me Sad
The dance class at the moment is one per week, but my teacher was about to set up a second class that he has also said I can take on. It is all do-able, if I knuckle down and plan my time effectively.

Josie a friend of mine has just set up an online equestrian supplies business. She's still in the process of setting up her website but is doing business via Facebook at the moment. This is her - it might give you some inspiration.

[waves] to everyone else.

MissFlick · 15/09/2010 15:17

garden love, Are you going to wait until the morning or until you've saved some more wee? Can you pop out of the office on an 'errand' and call the helpline when you're out? I am doing my absolute best to keep my sensible head on here but really want to shriek :)

Thanks for the link to the running thing kkas! Yes do keep me posted on your figures on Sat. I'll be thinking of you.

I meant to say before truff that is a very good price for the acupuncture in central London! Aren't you having your massage this week? Hope it is wonderful whenever it is :) Love your house rule re. computer games! My dh is making rules for my lap top usage as I type Shock :(

Hope you're feeling better alien Did your tests arrive today? Keep us posted!

Off to bed now- garden I wont be able to sleep!

xxxx

gardenpixie · 15/09/2010 15:20

Thanks Flick the bugger is that I have meetings until 9pm tonight and then straight home - where my parents will be. And I don't want to let on anything might up as they'll inevitably get their hopes up ... So prob no chance to retest today; might have to get up early tomorrow and test before they get up!
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh curses to rubbish pg tests .....

JosieSmith1 · 15/09/2010 15:34

Thanks HRHCavey, I can?t see the website at work but will definitely have a look when I get home, after I?ve had a good cry Blush

Garden you?re being a lot calmer about this than I would be! I?d be nipping into another office to very quickly make the call, despite what people might think!

gardenpixie · 15/09/2010 15:57

Josie the only office round here is the chief execs - eek! Might try to sneak out for a quick call though.

Alternatively, am considering whipping out my wee stick in my first meeting and making it the first point on the agenda... Grin

JosieSmith1 · 15/09/2010 16:04

Well if you do that Garden the room will clear pretty quickly, leaving you free to make the phone call, so I say go for it GrinGrin

crazybutterflylady · 15/09/2010 16:06

Shock garden how exciting. I am remaining calm though, obviously

crazybutterflylady · 15/09/2010 16:13

... hi everyone else by the way, have had a manic busy day and need to leave shortly for pregnancy yoga so haven't been able to say hi to y'all individually, sorry. Will hopefully have more time tomorrow though!

Feels weird going to pg yoga at such an early stage but I thought it might help me relax and stop stressing about anything going wrong... Hmm

Have a lovely evening and good luck garden!! Mwah! x

JosieSmith1 · 15/09/2010 16:41

That sounds fun Crazy, enjoy!

Was it on here that people were talking about what spots in certain places mean? If so, what do they mean when they're on your forehead?

Toriajayne · 15/09/2010 17:48

Garden Not trying to get your hopes up, but I did a CB last cycle and read the insructions upside down, backwards and inside out, and I'm sure it said that if there was any segment of vertical line then it was probably a positive. Fingers crossed for your retest!

Josie Glad your OH is on board, if work is that rubbish then it's definiely time for a change methinks. Come work with me! Desperate for another sane person in the place lol.

Crazy Enjoy yoga :)

highheelsandequations · 15/09/2010 18:44

Evening girls, very quick post here as I'm about to have my tea but dying to hear back from garden, fingers crossed for you hon.

Still no ov signs and think I just have to give up and stop looking for them. Ended up working late again so missed my second abs class of the week, not happy about it. Absolutely exhausted so think I'm going to take Emma Cannon's advice and have a long hot bath with essential oils after my food and try to chill out. Looking forward to my acupuncture session and pole dancing tomorrow though :) Lanky I went to acupuncture for the fertility, IBS and stress. My acupuncturist says she can't 'treat' any particular symptom as acupuncture addresses the whole person and will hopefully have an impact on anything that is unbalanced. She talked about clearing blockages a lot. Be interested to hear how you've got on.

Need to go just now, hopefully be back later for a proper catch up and glass of wine chat :)

Truffkin · 15/09/2010 18:52

Hi frolickers and sorry I've not had time to catch up properly, you lot really are yappers (sad face though as I've been too busy at work to join in!)

Errrm Garden am doing (very reserved) little excitement dance for you. You simply must post on here first thing to tell us the result and although it's painful to wait, logically FMU willl give you the most accurate result.

Josie so sorry you feel this way about work, could you look for something else for now whilst you set up your business and wait for it to go stellar with orders to make you a millionaire Grin It sounds like you've got DH well back on track and positive so well done you!

Crazy go you with the preg yoga, hope it's relaxing and you come out feeling very zen!

Flick So pleased the results were good and you sound so confident with your plan, you go girl! I know I'm really lucky to get such good deals from work, all of the treatments are subsidised by our Health & Wellbeing department so we can have massage, reflexology, acupuncture and there is even a salon that does hair and beauty (waxing / manicures etc) I'd struggled to find a decent ly priced hairdresser since moving down here and now have my hair cut, coloured and highlighted for £100 at work!

The girl in the office next door to me is 5 1/2 months pregnant (I found out today she is this far gone, as only found out a few weeks ago she was even up the duff along with 3 other announcements on the same day!) and seriously she looks like I do when I've eaten a big lunch! I'm kind of envious that she isn't getting massively fat (as I undoubtedly will when pg!) but also think that with no discernable bump to show off and rub at random intervals, does it feel less pregnanty?

Anyway, no news really from me at the moment. If my cycle predictor is to be believed I am oving on Saturday so, having given DH the night off last night we will be SWIing all the way to the weekend and then keeping the old fingers crossed for 2 weeks time. As I've only had one 'normal' cycle of 33 days since having my implanon removed, there is of course every chance that I will convince myself I'm pregnant when ERTD doesn't arrive, only tobe confronted with it a few days later.... Just giving you guys plenty of advance warning before my menkulling starts!

I am taking my own advice and keeping TTCing as just one of the things I'm doing at the moment so it doesn't take over my life just yet and have enrolled on a new course starting next month at a local uni. I'm lucky that work are paying the fees and giving me some paid time off to attend the teaching days. It's a Postgrad Diploma in Coaching, which I think will come in handy in my job (I work in HR) and as I love academic study (I know, freaky me!) I'm really excited for it. It's 5 blocks of Friday and Saturday so I'm giving up some of my own weekends too, but will be worth it when I qualify!

For someone who's had no time today I've certainly waffled so will leave you ladies to enjoy your evenings and I'm off to have my dinner of lovely fish and brocolli pie (mmmmm mashed potato Smile)

Florin · 15/09/2010 21:56

garden how exciting, I will be logging on early to see how your testing goes.
I am having a nice evening, I complained I wad cold so dh lit the first fire of the season. So curled up on the sofa in my pj's with a log fire going and a bottle of red wine-life doesn't get much better, well I guess a bfp would make it even better but at the moment this is pretty nice.
Good after a dull day at work- so ready for my year off!
Liking the whole idea of starting a business would so love to be my own boss. When I finally have a baby hoping to become a childminder so that I can look after my baby myself and also make some money while I do it
