pink don't worry i'm happy about AF turning up as it's the first one since the ERPC so now I know things are back to 'normal'.... we were waiting for AF and will now start SWI.....!

PinkFondantFancy · 31/08/2010 15:59

Erm knitter if x3 per day is not SWI I bow down in awe to you and your DP!!

MummyAbroad · 31/08/2010 16:15

Oh BOA what shit luck! I know how much you wanted those results. Sad Bugger Bugger Bugger

Hope its just a temporary loss, and that they turn up soon!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/08/2010 17:31

BOA that's crap Sad Hope they manage to sort it out.

((hugs)) all those caught by RTD over the last few days and to all those inexplicably getting BFNs!

CD19 for me and 8th day of high on CBFM with no peak - am putting it down to 1st month blip but it's really annoying!! Ladybee rest assured we are still SWI-ing just in case, but have given up on the once or twice a day that I instigated on the first high and reverted to every other day -hats off to knitter but I don't have the time or energy to keep it up all month!

Am loving the guilt-squashing going on here of late. FWIW, because I had at least one AF after conceiving DS, I assumed I wasn't PG and merrily carried on drinking (probably more than usual to drown sorrows after thinking we still haven't conceived). When the dr confirmed my PG I was so shocked I couldn't stop myself blurting out "but I was really pissed on Saturday!". Classy lady Blush

DS is fine btw.

PinkFondantFancy · 31/08/2010 18:56

nickster don't be silly, it wasn't patronising! :) reflexologist recommends solgar too, she told me v2000 but I think that one is a standard all rounder. I spent £35 on pregna care his and hers today!! It's the conception one rather than pregnancy one.

Completely understand about hoping preg test will be neg so you can draw line under mc and be a huge step closer to moving on, physically at least. Agree that it seems completely alien to be buying tests in the hope of a bfn tho!! I was using digital to test hormones were going down as I wasn't offered blood tests. Sorry to say I think your bleeding is still the mc, I had the same thing except without the fainting you poor thing! Also I read somewhere it doesn't count as af until you've had 3 blood free weeks in a row. Also read that cd1 doh can't Deneb what I was staying and can't read it anymore will dining off in a sec!!

PinkFondantFancy · 31/08/2010 19:02

Urgh so hard on phone!! Anyway I was about to say that i think you count the day you get a bfn after mc as cd1 for dates if you get pg this coming cycle.

knitter I felt the same-game on with the swi!

Hey viv thanks for the update, good to hear you're doing so well!

Holby city tonight, whoop!! Sooo the best prog on telly!! :) Think I'll make a massive chilli for my chilled evening curled up on the sofa :D

nickstermum · 31/08/2010 19:08

Hey Viv thats awesome you are getting the totally knackered symptoms :)hope you are getting those feetup (in between your marathons)

knitter I dont know how you or your DH do it!! RESPECT Jeez louise, if you arent already SWI how many more times a day will you do it....

Izzy totally classy... right up my street Grin

nickstermum · 31/08/2010 19:17

Fondant i was totally getting your message then right up until the last line of the first post Grin

I got the solgar EFA also. 3 horse like pillules a day Confused jesus costs a fortune, especillay dosing up DH too.

Thanks for the Tip. i was initially told to calculate the first day of blood as CD1 by another poster on another thread, but i dont know if thats the case. makes sense to use today BFN DAY :( I agree the bleed is the MC. It had gone black, to nothing, to bright red today. The diaorhea (scuse spell) i put down to falling hormones as has happened each time i got red blood. (Sorry TMI Blush

Anymore tips please let me know... :)

CaribouMoo · 31/08/2010 19:50

YRMOTB I had visions of you farting away in your tent there. I'm not coming camping with you! Unless you've still some illicit drugs on you... Also PMSL at Hairy's lists, that's like something I would do!

LucyS what's the matter pal? I know you had horrible long cycles but how do you know there's no OV? Have you been to get checked out? Hope you are ok, here's a big virtual cuddle x And another for Dachs x Also for Owl, don't rush off matey x And another again for BOA and your hospital rage, no wonder you are feeling like that - outrageous incompetence. Sure they will locate them soon x

Thanks MummyA for the info. Spoke to my friend today to check and she was defintely advised to keep taking AC until 3 months. I still don't get it and am still undecided what to do. Nickster I am also in awe of Brokenbits' knowledge! Hope you get your BFN and no more bleeding. You can keep your furry chewit though. Talking of broken bits, how are MrPFF's keeping - briefly, no disturbing mental images please!

Bee I chickened out of using the progesterone. Not really trying at the moment anyway (execept for the single perfectly timed shag during ov Blush) so I don't need it for the time being. Good luck tomorrow, keep me posted. I still have no idea what awaits us next week at our appt.

Hi Viv, glad to hear you are exhausted! You go girl!

PinkFondantFancy · 31/08/2010 20:40

Hehe Caribou, apparently as good as new so reckon I might give it a test drive :-D

LadyBee · 31/08/2010 22:06

My DH forgot about the tests tomorrow - fortunately we can just turn up and have the bloods taken anytime from tomorrow on, so it's not an enormous problem but it still makes me a bit mad. This is a date I've had burned in my brain since the nurse gave it to me, as the first step in hopefully a positive outcome. It just feels like an absolute reflection of how differently we've experienced all this. The fact that it is something he could forget underlines how little mental space he has allocated it.
What's worse is I'm currently debating with myself whether to raise my annoyance and disappointment with him, or let it lie so that there is some hope of us getting the first SWI out of the way. I like to get one in fairly early, partly to cover the random early ovulation chance, partly to clean out the swimmers after the lull we always have before and during AF. I hate that these thoughts are even entering my head - "I won't have an argument with DH, because then we can't have sex to get rid of his old sperm"...how sad that it's come to this Sad
I f*&&^^king hate TTC sometimes. Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/08/2010 22:37

((Ladybee)) hugs to you, it's crap isn't it? They just don't think about it in the same way. My DH threw a tantrum about all the sex making him feel like a machine and wanting it to be just spontaneous and fun when we felt like it, and I spent some time patiently trying to explain that unfortunately I was only fertile for a short time each month and therefore TTC did involve some element of timing, seeing as when we just weren't careful and not specifically TTC it took over 3 years to get a BFP and even then didn't result in a baby. What I really wanted to do was to throw things around and scream "don't you realise how important this is to me?!!" but the baby-obsessed part of me was thinking"I need to be careful here because the CBFM's just gone up to high and we need to shag later". Sometimes it's all just shit.

I would be really Angry if he forgot an appointment, but not entirely surprised. It's just not the same for them. Hope you manage to reschedule quickly though x

Choccybick · 31/08/2010 23:41

Hi ladies
Just checking in after my weekend away with DH.
Izzy / Ladybee - the using DP/DH as a sex machine rings a bell here too. I felt like I was pressurising him like mad last week.

Okay ladies - when can one get ready to be slapped with the wet fish. Day 19 is much too early.... only 8 days to wait until a result and Im already getting ready and bought a POAS tonight. Smile BUT NOOOOO I wont open it until 8 days time.
I had a strange sign. I never ever drink tea. Im a strictly coffee girl. Not since I was about 13..... 23 years ago....and on Saturday in London I ordered a pot of tea after having a strange craving.
Could this be a sign? Or maybe it was just being back on British soil.

      • feels wet fish approaching ----

Did I miss the secret Cheat List?

Loopy - glad to hear you had a BFP

Goodnight from Cologne
Choccy

MummyAbroad · 01/09/2010 04:42

Hi Choccybick,

I have been dying to have a go at using the fish, drinking tea sounds like the random kind of symptom spotting that thoroughly deserves it so here goes..

take that! Smile

Bought a POAS 8 days in advance eh? Good luck with that. POAS's dont last more than 5 mins in my house, in fact most of them get done in the supermarket toilets before I have even got them home!Grin

VivCliquot Glad to hear you are doing well xxx

barrenbrook · 01/09/2010 06:48

nickstermum · 01/09/2010 07:26

Could be chocky, could be i started ordering tea when i fell last time.... coffee tasted gross.... heres hoping for you :) (too much of a newbie to slap you with the fish, or to realise day 19 is much toooooooo early)

Mmm Izz & Ladybee* totally get you re the Sex Machine thingy. Nowt like mechanical swi. I have to be so careful on the days i want to SWI - DH is such a twat and insists he wont do it if i am mean to him... holds me to ransom to the point it makes me feel like i am begging for his swimmers!! Silly bugger says to me " its not a science you know" DOH does he not know anything? Angry Might have to get some viagra in the next time he says that, and grind that into his casserole instead, see how he likes having a boner all night, and having no where to put it Grin Um does that make me sound evil?! HA HA

Lady I would be so angry with DH if he forgot something as important as that.

fondant glad to hear MR Fondant willy has nicely recovered. May i ask you what you are having reflex for? Ive had it a few times in the past, mainly when i have needed something specific (to bring on labour! or something like that) are you doing it to make your body ready to receive an egg? Genuinely interested, I've heard acupuncture is good for things like that also, but whilst have had acu before to treat back probs, tummy probs etc never for TTC

BOA are you feeling calmer now? What has the hospital said - have they found them yet? Total uselessness!!!!!

Tamashii · 01/09/2010 07:42

Hi - I am another newbie on here. I'm looking for some advice and thought this is likely to be the best place.

I had an early MC (second time) about 3/4 weeks ago and not sure about actively TTC just yet as still a bit :( about everything. Anyway, I've been using OPK for ages so know how it usually works for me. Now, I am getting faint lines then lighter then faint then gone then faint then away again on the OPK... Is this something to do with the MC? Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, how long did it take for things to go back to normal wrt AF? The last time this happened to me was just before I got PG with DS a couple of years ago and I didn't use OPK's then.

I am getting a bit anxious as we are moving quite far early next year and I am just the wrong side of 35 now so although it will make sense to wait until we have settled in our new area before TTC again. I just want to keep trying before it is too late. We also won't have any family near to help us if there are any problems with another PG - if it happens.

Sorry for the long ramble - I keep doing this on here...

Thanks in advance for your experience on the OPK after MC issues :)

PinkFondantFancy · 01/09/2010 08:03

ladybee I would be Angry too but you're right that it's just a symptom of how for them its not taking up every waking thought like it is for us.

choccy I'd say it sounds promising!! MA I would like a bit of that pretty looking fish too please-I have been furiously symptom spotting since about cd18!! The rational part of me thinks that I prob feel sick because I keep thinking 'do I feel sick do I feel sick'!! ridiculousness!!

Mrs nickster hhahahaha you have to do the casserole thing!! Grin that is hilarious! No SWI at the iced cake house last night as we were both knackered. Figured it's too late in the cycle now anyway so not worth getting upset about. Plus the poor boy deserves a break I think!!I had reflex after mc as wanted help to balance my hormones back out, they were all over the place and I felt sick and emotional (basically pregnant I guess£ for more than a month after I started bleeding. Also wanted help getting rid of last limps and clots and seemed to work a treat. I realise how completely hippy it sounds and it may be that things would I've cleared up at that time anyway but I found it really useful and relaxing and like I was doing something reactive to help myself. Now I'm just doing it

PinkFondantFancy · 01/09/2010 08:13

Hmm phone made up it's own version of some of those words but hopefully you get the gist! So anyway now I'm doing it for the lymphatic drainage and relaxation and she has been doing lots of work on my ovaries and uterus areas. She specialises in fertility so fingers crossed it works!! I always feel much calmer and more accepting afterwards so I think it is doing something.

Aghghghg the guy opposite me on the train has had his blackberry alarm going off for 20 mins and he's just nonchalantly reading his newspaper like there's nothing going on!! Its driving me mad!!!! Surely the battery must die soon??!?!

Hi tam sorry about your mc. Sorry, don't use opk but lots of the ladies on here are pretty expert so help should be along soon.

Yay he's just realised that the annoying roving by him is in fact his phone!!!!

PinkFondantFancy · 01/09/2010 08:15

Roving, ringing, whatever!! You ladies must be used to my total gibberish posts by now!! :)

BackOnceAgain · 01/09/2010 09:59

Lol PFF I can imagine your rage at stupid phone guy

Thanks everyone and yes I have calmed down now. The hospital phoned back eventually and everything will be forwarded to me when they have compiled it. Sorry, i was having such a shit day y'day, felt like I was getting AF (cramping, sore boobs, mood swings etc) but it was 2 weeks to the day of my ERPC and actually now think it was just hormones calming down again as no bleeding today.

Hi Tam sorry to hear of your mc but welcome to thread, I've just joined these lot too and they're lovely people Smile Ikwym about wanting to know when AF is going to return, I am also the wrong side of 35 and thinking we best get a move on. Trying to keep calm and carry on...not always working though. We've not SWI (or without it for that matter) yet, want to get AF first.

Chocky I second, or third or whatever the tea thing! Deffo a symptom Wink

dachshund owly hairy and knitter sorry about AF

MA thanks for all that AC info, chief guilt squasher/researcher Grin I bought eve primrose last night and zinc etc all while telling my mum I wasn't going to obsess about ttc Hmm

Izzy and Ladyb totally understand your predicaments with dh too. Sad

Nickster yes me too with the accupuncture. I wonder if it will help get my body back inline after mc? Its so bloody expensive though and we're skint atm. I had it to turn ds from breech-it worked! And to bring on his late labour-didn't work as had to be induced but had a very quick, 'good' labour.

Hope you all have a good day

nickstermum · 01/09/2010 10:32

Mornin' all Mrs's

currently sat in a hotel in leeds waiting for my day date (colleague ) here for the day, bored already!.... not from leeds, am a north west chicky...

MA where are you with the coffee? rumour has it costa rican has less caffeine so we can all slurp to our hearts content!

Pink loving the gibberish, keep it up, keeping me entertained anyhow!!

BOA Fab - love helping others to spend money, at least these will be more useful than a new pair of shoes, prob cost just as much!!

Tempted to go with reflex. Think will help shed the rest of whatever could be left and balance H. I know when i was miscarrying (but before i knew) the part of my ankle inside leg, but kind of by heel was all swollen and painful, and from memory i think that is the uterus? cant remember... makes sense. Go for the sounding Hippy fondant if it helps you get that BFP!!!!! BOA like you, see if we can afford it. DEF DEF think it could help you too... and i for that very same reason. Sorry u sad such wank day yesterday, glad they turned up! Hope the sore boobs disappear soon. My MC was confirmed on 10th August, my pg boobs disappeared last wk..but i just feel normal now

Tam so sorry that you find yourself here. I too had MC early august. Desp waiting to clear so i can SWI and TTC regularly. Dont OPK but interested in hearing more as i am with caribou for that single perfectly timed shag if possible!

PFF can you not kick the blackberry guy? how totally annoying.... people with their bberrys have to say i am lost without mine, tho wondering whether the IPhone would be a better choice.

sunchild77 · 01/09/2010 10:41

Hi everyone, Ive been lurking during my 2ww, but now Im day 24.... Should I test??? Or should I be slapped with wet fish?? I dunno what to do!

I have no tests in the house....

I Dont feel remotely upduffed. Although we did do lots of swi-ing at hopefully the right time.... I am v tired too.

I do want to know, but dont want to be disappointed again. Scared too of getting hopes up by bfp and then having them dashed again.....

AGGGGGHHHHHH! Can't talk to anyone in real life cos might jinx it, and talking about ttc makes me feel really vulnerable and silly...

So you guys are my only hope...

What should I do? HELP ME!! - Im going a bit mental..

getawiggleon · 01/09/2010 11:00

sunchild I only have frozen cod in freezer so best I don't start hurling those around for fear of injury but there's a first response in my bathroom cabinet you can have

FWIW I thought I was pg in May (had imagined all the symptoms! but I got a bfn.
The following month I didn't feel the slightest bit pg and got bfp!
Good luck if you decide to test!

Throws arms around in frantic waving-to-everyone-else -styley.
