Right, I will try my best but apologies if I miss anyone, this thread is indeed massive now!!

northerngoldilocks - lovely to hear some good news, am so pleased things are going well for you. May you continue to have the most boring 6 months ever Smile

Jamface - welcome, although sorry that you're here (obviously). I'm using a CBFM at the minute for ovulation (although it wouldn't play ball at all in the first month!) but I seem to recall using the cheap strip tests for a month or two when trying for DD and they were fine, no need to buy fancy expensive ones.

Would love to hear how you and anyone else trying it (getawiggleon?) get on with acupuncture as I'm also considering this if my cycle doesn't settle down soon.

G&T - definitely re-test. If still BFN then speak to dr, but if it makes you feel any better there seem to be a number of ladies on here at the minute whose cycles are a bit haywire post-mc. Hope it all settles down for you anyway.

Caribou - ((hugs)). I hope you feel better today. I'm another one who read TTW (on holiday, 3 weeks after MC) and it's not a good idea. And don't worry about work, even without all the emotive reading, these things will strike you at the most unexpected of times, and you can't help it. People do understand.

Dachs - fx for tomorrow, am hoping for some good news for you! Re dinner - agree delegate to DH or failing that have a handy takeaway number ready...

YRMOTB - here's hoping spotting stops and results in a BFP...or, failing that, that AF gets a move on and arrives so you can get onto next cycle (a poor alternative I know!)

nickstermum - hope you've recovered from the sleep-deprivation! I haven't been camping for ages but it's the one bit of it that I find really annoying. If you think you might have an infection make sure you get it checked out ASAP - best to be on the safe side.

Mamapower - here >

Sorry but not very up on acronyms - RTD?

Never too early to start on chocolate BackOnceAgain

shitforbrains · 06/09/2010 10:36

PFF so sorry to hear that.
I know from prior TTC attempts that the RTD is so horrible. My sister has been trying for 15 years :(

I for one can't wait for AF (just having had erpc) as then it means I can start shagging with intent again! SWI - that's a known acronym isn't it?

Feeling much better physically from ERPC. Not sure how some people can say it was painless - I could hardly sit on the loo for 3 days.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/09/2010 10:36

PFF - x-posts, sorry RTD got you. It's crap Sad

BOA - that's really rubbish; why do people not understand that you can't promise things to children and then let them down like that?!

And no, it's not too early for chocolate

clareanna · 06/09/2010 10:38

Cmoo big hug- nothing worse than trying to stop the tears once they start. I read time travellers wide ages ago and had forgotten about the miscarriages and decided to watch it while on the plane to the USA 1 month after the mmc- big mistake - so know how you feel. Take care and I'm thinking of you

BackOnceAgain · 06/09/2010 11:00

Thanks Izzy

SFB really?Poor you. did they give you any pain kilers? I had voltarol suppositories given when I was under GA, and didn't feel any pain.

Jamface I've just learnt that one Grin RTD is red tide of death OR red time of doom or any versions thereof

Can I ask anyone with CBFM should I bother getting and using one now before my 1st AF after ERPC or is it too soon?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/09/2010 11:06

SFB - x-posts again, I didn't have any painkillers after ERPC, and was fine. You sound really really uncomfortable, have you taken any painkillers? If it carries on, I would go back to dr, but fx you feel back to "normal" soon.

BOA - I would not bother using CBFM during WTF cycle - don't think you would get any sense out of it! Also, you are supposed to start within first 5 days of cycle and have to set the correct cycle day, which I don't think you could do within WTF cycle. The recommended usage is after you have had two normal cycles, but I started using mine when I got first AF. It hasn't been terrific this month (cycle 1) but I'm not sure I ovulated and also it does say it takes a month or two to get to know you, so who knows.

BackOnceAgain · 06/09/2010 11:18

Thanks for info Izzy I shall resist. But I suppose I could just go ahead and buy one for the next cycle [need-to-do-something-productive emoticon] Wink

BackOnceAgain · 06/09/2010 11:21

(Oh I didn't realise they were that expensive)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/09/2010 11:31

BOA - try Ebay. I got mine for about £50 inc postage. Still expensive but a lot cheaper than other places. Mine was new and still wrapped but there were loads that had only been used for a few cycles, which wouldn't bother me at all as long as you had the instruction manual with it (you need to know how to reset it properly because it would remember the previous user's data for a long time!)

BackOnceAgain · 06/09/2010 11:44

Brill, yes that's more like it. Wouldn't bother me about it being 2nd hand either

AlbaDeTamble · 06/09/2010 11:44

Hugs for Moof, I reread it right after MMC in Feb. Cried buckets, in many ways it helped me get a lot of it out but can't begin to imagine going through all that at work. On a positive note, tough strong beautiful little Alba was inspiration for me, I'm hoping you get your little one soon xx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 06/09/2010 11:56

Big Magic8 hug for Moof xxxxxx

appleblossoms · 06/09/2010 11:59

Morning All,

Seems like quite a few of you have little ones starting school, my nephew starts this week - can't believe he's old enough! Hope both the dc's and you mums survive and enjoy it!

caribou sorry you had a tough day, and about your colleague. A friend of mine at a group i go to once a week is due the week i would've been, and it's been really tough watching her bump grow. :( so understand that. Hope today's going better!

thanks for the warning about time travellers wife...had my eye on the DVD to watch, but might postpone for a bit longer!

Good luck to those of you testing soon, fx for some BFP's!

No sign of AF despite being CD33 :( I hate this waiting game... just wish it would hurry up and arrive! On the positive side, ordered myself some OPK's last night, thanks jam, so at least feel like i'm doing something productive and ready for the next cycle!

Sorry for not responding to everyone, this thread moves very quickly - it's a little hard to keep up!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 06/09/2010 12:13

sarahmia I'm so so sorry to read about your news. take care of yourself xxxxxxxx

youremindmeofthebabe · 06/09/2010 12:24

caribou, sorry to hear that you've had a bad day, I x-posted with you and didn't have a look at what had gone on in the 10 minutes it took me to write 4 lines! Hope you're feeling a little better today, it's such a rollercoaster isn't it. ((hugs)) from me.

Izzy I can honestly say that I don't really mind at this point in time if it is AF. I am only on first real cycle post Mc, although it was 3 months ago. I just feel quite hopeful for the next few cycles. Hope DD's first day at school goes well, she sounds like she's going to love it!

BOA sorry you've been let down over the piano. It's such a shame for your dd. Hope you're ok.

Sorry about RTD PFF. Eat choc and drink wine. That's what I shall be doing if my RTD finally kicks in! x

Hello to all, including all newbies, better go and do some work!

owlshoes · 06/09/2010 13:30

Welcome lovely new people and v.sorry you've had to find yourself here. Now if you don't mind I'm going to confiscate that chocolate you're hoarding, it's for your own good

Moofibou better out than in, I reckon. Tis sods law that the 'out' always happens when you least want it to; I hope you have a much, much better day today x

Sarahmia so sorry you've had to go through this again; hope you are okay and getting the support you need.

dachs would you be massively offended if I giggled at your dog and its comedy lampshade collar? Our cat hates them.

BOA I got a CBFM new online for just over 60 quid - they seem to be about 90 in Boots, yikes. And then you have to buy sticks and batteries...it's an expensive habit, TTC :D

tigger15 · 06/09/2010 13:34

Sarah it worked

shitforbrains · 06/09/2010 13:38

owlshoes loving your profile!
What do you photograph?

nickstermum · 06/09/2010 13:51

Mornin all.

hmm 100 quid in boots for the CBFM think i will go for the ebay thanks izzy??/Owwls/Dachs (dunno 3 pages back, memory not that long! Do they work? - what is it POAS every morning?

fondant hope you are feeling ok hunny :) BIG HUGS! Angry

Mmm thanks for the tips girls, in the process of thinking about either acu or reflex to sort out my cycles etc - or hopefully help to clear out everything and kick start!

Big hugs to everyone, sorry just out of a really boring meeting, and off to another, so no time to name check

owlshoes · 06/09/2010 14:05

Tis POAS from day 6 - I am only on day 4 on first month of CBFM so no stick-peeing as yet. Am thinking of showing it to the DH with encouragement for him to look at it too and find out if we are supposed to be shagging that day as I think he has started to realise I am morphing from 'casually trying' to 'desperately desperate'. He likes his gadgets. Grin

Quite a lot of people on here seem to like the acupuncture; might be worth a bash (and apparently very calming too).

Sfb I photo weddings, pensioners and particle accelerators and everything in between. It's a strange job :D

shitforbrains · 06/09/2010 14:22

owl I ask as I am also a pap :)

Stopped doing weddings though.
