Hope you've all had a nice weekend.

I have not been sleeping very well and been too tired to SWI, so have missed a couple of days now. My cycle is so irregular that I have no idea of the best time to SWI, so I have probably stopped just at the wrong time :( .
I put UCL as 28-35 but it has been as long as 39 recently. Very annoying!!!!!

morning, ladies
hope you're all doing well. just a quick note to let you know that my patience has paid off - POAS this morning and it was a BFP! Smile

think if i work my dates out though, i should probably have been on the may bus. it's been lovely travelling with you, though, and hopefully there might be a few more BFPs floating around there for you too!

x

loueytbg · 06/09/2010 12:38

Morning, can I join you? Jumping on my first bus, although I have been lurking on the May bus. Crappy day, it being CD1 and had lots of PG symptoms last week so got my hopes up. Have a fertility clinic appointment this week to try and work out what's going on with my wacky cycles after a mmc in March. Will add my stats to the list.

Just like you louey I too convinced myself I was pg this month, and was already planning my maternity leave, so today has been a bit of a shock.

I am going to book an apppointment to see my GP this month about ttc, as my cycles are crazy and all over the place, and the meds I'm taking don't seem to be helping the PCOS symptoms that much now, as cycles going long again and I'm piling weight back on, although I'm eating no differently.

Good luck to everyone and Congrats to our first graduate! Smile It's nice to see so many familiar faces on the bus, but sad at the same time if you know what I mean!

GoodVibrations · 06/09/2010 14:24

suedehead CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's fab news, it was sounding very hopeful so hurray!!

Louey & rubberduckies - boo hiss at AF, but welcome aboard

Teds77 · 06/09/2010 14:44

Have been lurking too but Louey and rubberduckies posts summed up how I felt when AF arrived yesterday Angry Was 4 days late and had convinced myself everything I was feeling from cramps to sleepyness to headaches etc. meant I was definitely pg.

However, was first try so will have to try a bit harder this month!

Congrats to Suedehead. Hope lots more of us join you soon.

teds it's miserable isn't it? When I was on my first bus (the February one) I worked myself up into a frenzy on the 2ww, and it was a massive crash when AF arrived, and I managed to stay a lot more cynical realistic until this month, when every symptom was pointing towards pregnancy rather than just raging PMT. What makes it worse is that one of my best friends is due in January, and another friend who was pg at the same time as me has just had dc2, so I'm surrounded by it at the moment!

I vote we sit at the back and binge-drink and also eat so much cake we're sick.

I have been reading through the thread, and wanted to add that I would love an April, May or June baby, as I think Spring / early Summer is a great time to have a birthday (and a great time to be on maternity leave!!!). On the flipside, DS1 is an August baby, and I must admit I do worry a little bit about him being one of the youngest in his year. On one hand, you hear all sorts about Summer boys being low achievers and needing lots of extra support, but on the other hand, my birthday was July and I was one of the highest achievers in my year. (Hmmmm, wish I'd done something with it though, discovered boys and clubbing just in time to screw up my A-Levels and make a bad degree choice Blush). I really never thought about any kind of age difference between me and my friends, and dare I say it I don't think my parents or teachers did, so maybe we all worry too much about it nowadays?

mrsden · 06/09/2010 15:47

Not sure what happened but I'm missing off the bus, I hope this isn't a sign!

I've added myself in now, I hope I've done it right.

CD4 for me and can't wait for AF to go. This has been the worst AF I've ever had, really painful cramping to the point that I felt sick. Cramps eased off yesterday but felt very tender and sorry for myself all day. Feeling much more positive today and hoping that this might be a good month!

Congratulations suedehead :) brilliant news!

It's my DH's birthday today so I'm going to have a drink tonight Wink

June baby and maternity leave sounds lovely... But if it's July or August will be equally happy. I do think people maybe worry too much - though maybe I'll feel differently once a dc arrives!

Couple of friends worked themselves into feel frenzies about the possibility of their Sept babies arriving early - and therefore in August - but looking at all the other things that are influencing the little people they are now becoming I don't think their birthdays matter that much. But that's me!

Wombat33 · 06/09/2010 18:06

Oh wombat I am so sorry about your loss, you are a bigger woman than me being able to pick yourself up and get back on the horse (or bus, as it were) straight away. A very un-Mumsnettish hug to you x

kat2504 · 06/09/2010 18:45

suedehead many congratulations!

teds I'll just be happy when one arrives safely, don't care when the birthday is! I don't think you can really plan things in that much detail given how hard ttc can be anyway, and I'm quite dubious about all of this summer baby/school year stuff anyway. Perhaps there is something to it, but as I said, I wouldn't want to skip three months of ttc to avoid having a summer baby.

mrsden AF is a real pain! Mine is a bit rubbish too not used to having more than one really heavy day. This is the second in a row now. Glad you are feeling better today.

ravenlocks · 06/09/2010 20:03

8rubberduckies I could have written your last paragraph of your post - i also would have loved a spring baby. My son is and of june, and also worry about him being young in school year.. but then some people say it means they are challenged etc.. i know it would drive him mad to spend an extra year at preschool, so hope he'll be fine.
I also screwed up a levels and did a degree i didn't enjoy.

ravenlocks · 06/09/2010 21:26

Fab to have a grad so soon! Well done suede, hope that bodes well for the rest of us and welcome new passengers!

Just shaking AF off over here. Still a day out on bus, can someone add 2 to me when updating tomoz? Am only on blackberry at the moment, not on laptop.

Bring on the fertile window! Smile

Hopefully I've updated the list correctly - wombat33 sorry to hear about your loss. Not sure if I've put you in the right place.
