hey jobobpip08 and Ladybird10 thanks really need some assurance started clomid today with renewed hope that this will be the month.....

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your kind messages. Still not dancing about but feeling a lot better than I was.

To those who were asking (Jo and sunny) I'm currently waiting to have a HSG before they give me another 3 cycles of clomid. Had 3 cycles on 25mg and definitely ovulated at least once but no luck conceiving.

Acupuncture is going well, she seemed really pleased this week that she'd got really good kidney energy going through me which is apparently excellent for fertility. Hoping that we manage to conceive without the clomid but if not, we'll see what the HSG says. In the meantime I'm busy taking and eating everything anyone mentions may help fertility :)

nonu sorry about AF, but good that you're feeling positive about starting a new cycle.

lady and pops sorry you're having a rough time at work, take it easy and hope you feel better soon.

Need to go as loads to do today and then have a wedding to go to this afternoon. Big hugs and babydust to everyone.
xxx

Sunny you're not having much luck at the moment, poor love. Sorry I can't answer your question but hope you get better soon.

stac14 · 29/09/2010 01:07

supersunny i had thrush in pregnancy and used a canestan pessary and the cream. Also dont see why you cant treat thrush on clomid as your not fertile till 10-14 days after end of clomid (very roughly) also you could use live yoghurt on a tampon (soz for tmi) when pg i heard a few things others have used to treat it and like you i seem to break out after antibiotics. Hope it clears soon x

jobobpip08 · 29/09/2010 13:53

Sunny not a stupid question at all, but I don't know the answer! The only thing I can think of is to make sure you don't infect DP as iirc he could reinfect you and you don't want that.

Question for you: After a CD2 scan where they found a cyst/follicle (15mm) in my right ovary, the docs said no to continuing me on clomid for cycle #2 this cycle and instead asked me to wait it out till the next cycle where we'll go through a CD2 scan again - - Any idea what they mean by this?
When I was on clomid 50 on cycle #1, they saw a dominant follicle in the left ovary and perhaps ignored the right...

Appreciate your help / insights if you have any.

jobobpip08 · 29/09/2010 21:06

hi womanly I can only think the clomid might enlarge the cyst, if it was a true follicle I don't think it would even be visible on CD2. Cysts come and go, they are probably hoping it will disappear in time for the next cycle.

Could you tell me, in your first cycle was your scan also CD2 when they saw the follicle and did they let you continue with the clomid? I would have expected them to check both ovaries at the same time.

Hope that helps?

Feel free to come back and see us. Smile

Thanks jobobpip08 - First cycle they put me straight on clomid and then I had a scan on Day 8 - They saw a follicle at 16mm in the left ovary and said good..come back to us for the Progesterone test (on CD18) and that's it.
The P test was 0.4 so they then said - you've not ovulated - - pls come for an investigative scan on Day 2 -- and this time around they found a cyst on the right ovary and everything was normal on the left. So they said - skip the clomid and come back next cycle at day 2 again.

jobobpip08 · 30/09/2010 12:58

womanly do you normally have a very short cycle? CD18 seems quite early for what is traditionally called a Day 21 test! I found clomid made my cycles longer, so 7 days after ovulation would have been more like day 24 for me.

Fingers crossed your cyst will be gone next cycle and you can start the clomid.

womanlytales · 30/09/2010 19:23

My cycles are longish too, the last two were 33 days. Not sure why they tested me on day 18 though.

jobobpip08 · 30/09/2010 19:44

No idea either, seems way to early. I have come to realise that sometimes they don't know as much as us! Hmm

Hello everyone, wow what a thread!

Just a little warning guys but I had a serious reaction to Clomid day 4 into my first course, I had a seizure which came totally out of the blue and was very unwell for about 2 weeks. I didn't complete the course and my Dr very reluctant to consider alternatives (until I returned the clomid- I think he thought I was trying to hang on to Clomid plus get others off the NHS) So I am about to start Tamoxifen tomorrow which I am very, very nervous about. We have one beloved DS and we are not prepared to have another child at any cost, (but we would dearly love another).

I would love to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience, or any experience of tamoxifen.
many thanks
