Hi ladies, I hope you are all well.

Just a quick post to share some news with my mn friends and to give others some hope.
I gave birth to my gorgeous little boy almost 6 weeks ago:) He is amazing!
I had taken clomid for all in all 19months!! With a break of 10 years in between. The first 9 months didnt work. Fell pregnant naturally and then lost my beautiful little boy:( Fell pregnant again after 9months of clomid and 1 of metformin and unfortunately our little boy had pateaus syndrome and died in the womb. After a horrendous 2 years i was ready to give up and thankfully my hubby persauded me to try one more month. I did and we now have our gorgeous son.
A very short version of my ups and downs of ttc and clomid, but what i am trying to say that there is hope and lots of support on here for those that need it. This thread and others like it were my lifeline at the darkest times. Its sometimes easier to rant to those who know and to 'strangers'.
Take lots of care and i look forward to reading lots of good news stories.

Huge hellos to the ladies that ive ranted to along the way:)

popsy thanks for sharing your story. Very pleased for you and congratulations. It must be amazing to hold your son after so long trying for a baby!!

Thanks malibustac and ladybird - you are right, I shouldnt be disheartened. I suppose I was stupidly expecting miracles from clomid (I just got out of the scan when I posted the message) after many months of failure.

Anyway, I went back today for a scan (cd15) and my one lonely follicle has grown to 20-something mm with lining of 8.9-9.4 so all good. No other follicles at all, which I thought was a bit weird. The nurse has given me a syringe to inject in my belly tonight (ovidrel?) to provoke ovulation tomorrow. So we are timing intercourse tomorrow and the day after...Any of you had to use ovidrel? not looking forward to the injection & to the 2ww.

how are you all doing? at what stage of clomid are you?

purplesparkles · 04/05/2011 14:31

Hi all I'm a newbie.

I have had my first round of clomid, progesterone level was 61.9 but started period 2 days ago just started second cycle. was so disappointed as was feeling really postive that it would work. I have unexplained fertility and take brocromptine to manage my prolactin levels in my pitituary gland as I am making too much of it. Hoping this 2nd cycle will bring me luck!

malibustac · 10/06/2011 23:35

Hi all suppose no-one really uses this thread anymore. Just wanted to post and see if any of my ttc buddies are still about? How are you? Xx

highheelsandequations · 13/06/2011 19:48

Hi stac, not a ttc buddy as you already had your LO when I came along but you helped me on my road to my BFP. I'm due 4 weeks on Wednesday, can't believe how close it is now!!! How are you doing?

malibustac · 13/06/2011 19:59

Not long now highheels bet you can't wait! Well in 3 weeks my princess will be one got me thinking about all the ladies who got bfp's and who were ttcn thought I would come see how you all are. How have you been?

highheelsandequations · 14/06/2011 20:02

Been pretty good, after a scary start to the pg everything seems to be going the way it's supposed to. Very excited about meeting our pip although not feeling organised at all yet! Keep trying to run around getting things done then realise I'm exhausted and need to collapse on the couch :) Can't believe Rileigh's nearly one, time flies, hope you're both well and looking forward to the birthday celebrations.

highheelsandequations · 14/06/2011 20:04

PS: popsy if you're reading many congratulations on the birth of your little boy

malibustac · 14/06/2011 23:48

Did you find out what your having? We're all very excited but it has flew in. Popsys on my fb her lo is gorgeous. I will mail you my user name if you want to add me have you stopped for maternity leave? I remember when you got bfp and how worried you were so glad alls good. I bet your more organised than you think.[Smile]. What's your due date? X

highheelsandequations · 15/06/2011 13:50

Having a surprise :) Not stopped for ML yet, working till a week on Friday and have really had enough, can't wait to finish. Hopefully I'm more organised, I think the main problem just now is that the nursery is still full of junk and so all the baby stuff is still in boxes, haven't even seen my cot yet, it's still in its box!! Once I can start unpacking stuff I'll feel a lot better I think. DD is 13th July, 4 weeks today, exciting! Have sent a fb friend request. xx

malibustac · 16/06/2011 01:08

Rileigh was due the 17th july but due elec c-section she was born 7th. Got request, nice to see you Smile

jobobpip08 · 23/06/2011 14:33

Aww, all the old gang have popped back. I haven't posted in ages cos I was off the clomid & got a bit heart breaking every month. Still nothing with me but may be back on clomid in Aug.

Congrats to all - even though you lot who are friends with me on fb have already had that!! lol.
