We still have the wake up 45 mins after going down but i put that down to her dropping her last nap, maybe she thinks it is only nap time we are getting until about 1am, then 4am. The last two days she has woken at 6.30...had a 30 min play and then back to sleep til 9am/9.30am We all had a fab lie in on sat

Louey I had been keeping an eye on your chart (hope that's ok) & saw yesterday that af had turned up. If it's any consolation, your luteal phase was 11 days which is the important bit. If it is any less than 10 then you are considered to have a lp defect. One way to lengthen it is by taking vit B6 & of course as Mermaid said, acc is perfect for helping problematic cycles. I sometimes had short cycles & I used to think that at least it meant a shorter wait until I could start bd'ing again, rather than a hideous 40+ day cycle that some poor ladies on this thread have had. Neeko I feel the same about Christmas as well. It really feels like just a few short weeks ago when we were talking about Christmas baking & how our dd's were singing 'jingle bells' at the top of their voices! Thank you for stalking me - my LP is actually longer than before I had DTs and then I did have a luteal phase defect (LP was about 8 days then). I tried vit b6 then but it didn't seem to make any difference. I am grateful that I don't have ridiculously long cycles, already gearing up for an OPK-fest at the end of the week so it could be worse I know. Just lots of pg people around me (and I don't mean you at all). V good friend about to pop, SIL due in 3 weeks and closest NCT friend 12 wks pg. Bleurgh. I think I had managed to block a lot of it out after the ERPC and it seems to be coming back at the moment.

vjay good for you on the bike riding. You forget how much it hurts your bum though! I remember when we went to Center Parcs a couple of years ago that my bum was clearly not used to cycling. I guess it gets easier, and it will of course help the diet

Trying to arrange an appointment with an acupuncturist. He has slots either Thursday evening or Friday evening this week. Email DH to see which evening is better for him to get home from work and he says I can't do either as a) he is going to a hog roast on Thursday night with work and b) he is at the test match all day on Friday.

Am . Next available slot is a week on Sunday when I've got relatives coming to stay.

I'll give you all a laugh. Went to Asda today with my bag for life as you do. got to the checkout and realised that the chewing gum I'd bought on Friday was still in the bag. Thanks to everyone for reading about the traditions we have when a baby is born

Well done to all the dieters for all the weigh loss. I am getting quite down about my weight and think I might have to rejoin slimming world, as I lost 2 stones when I did it a few years ago. But the next few months are quite hectic for me, with Ramadan this month, a possible holiday after that and then going back to work, after 14 months off , and having to work full time with a little one. I know it sounds like I'm making all these excuses but I think I need to get settled into a routine before I start dieting. Plus dieting makes me so miserable, I love food too much!

I think it was barbie and then 4ever who asked about who doesn't have to fast during Ramadan. Kids dont need to fast until they hit puberty and neither do the elderly or those who are ill. Also women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or on their period don't need to fast but they need to make up the fasts at some point. I came on my period today, just an hour before I was due to break my fast, so I have to make this one up again! But hence why I have time to come on MN today!

louey We do tend to have a lot of family get-togethers and break our fasts together and defeat the whole purpose of fasting by eating way too much food at the end. Had a whole weekends worth of that, plus another one on Wednesday, Friday and then the weekend again. This is doing nothing for my weight

Our whole routine changes for the whole month. We wake at 2.30am to eat and pray and back in bed at 4am. We then break our fast around 8.30pm and because of eating and yet more praying, dont get to bed until 11.30pm. So its a lot of broken sleep for the month.

My plan was to sleep during the day when Saara naps, but for some reason shes dropped one of her naps. Does anyone know whether this is too early for her to drop a nap, she wont be one until the end of September? She also prefers to sleep in our bed than her cot and wakes up a few times in the night and will only go back to sleep if she's in our bed. Again any advice?

She's also been screaming and crying when I put her down for a nap, whereas previously the signs that she was due for a nap were very obvious and she didnt kick up as much of a fuss.

All of this together has been adding to my tiredness and brain freeze and lack of time to do anything and I didnt want to come on here and do half-hearted posts!

Oh I forgot to mention my anniversary weekend! (seems like a lifetime away!) We went to watch Inception at the BFI IMAX, a really enjoyable film. Went for a meal before that, a Mexican/Caribbean place, and for shisha after the film. We got home at 2am Something I havent done in who knows how long. Saara stayed the night at my mums and slept through the whole night, which was very good of her as its something she hasnt done for us for a while! The next day we went for lunch at The RitZ, which was a birthday present from DH from earlier in the year, and I have to say, it was a lovely experience. When we got back home S was more happy to see her dad than me but I'm getting used to the rejection

Cuse the dark sunnies, i need to hide the rings of black under my eyes...and the bruises from where i hit the sleep deprived wall face on!

So much to catch up on, i just hope Dolly stays asleep long enough for me to do so!

Well....2 nights ago we slammed face first into the wall two hours sleep the whole night, it seemed that Dolly needed to fill her nappy but couldnt do so.....until 6.30am in the morning when she decided it was a good time to go to sleep It was the worse nappy ever (brilliant for the diet, put me right of my brekkie )

Last night was better though, im sticking with 3.5/ 4 hourly feeds and we seem to be getting somewhere....if only i could make her poo before bed ...it;s the only thing that will stop her sleeping.

So we are back to 2 wakings 12ish and 4ish...i can cope with that

Sleep training had started again in ernest, but dh and i cant decide on the best method? She wont settle with dh, not even when picked up. He would let her cry i on the other hand would do pupd but dh cant do it We cant just leave her cos she would be climbing up in the cot, falling over and banging her head...

And finally she is taking to the food, but hates the middle lunch feed as its more savoury? Much prefers to eat sweet things? thoughs?????

Anyways enough about me

mermaid hugs, wine, massage, cakes, bread and lots of scrummy things to help you through your edd... the pics of the party looked fab, i loved all the cakes! fantastic weather too by the look of things....tut tut at trying to get the poor kitty stuck in a tree so the gorgeous firemen would come to the rescue!

sabs thanks for clearing up re eating if nursing, i have a good excuse now It must be so tough for you, the mosque is soooo loud now, the call to prayer is almost deafening (a good excuse to keep dolly in our room though!) Poor you having to wake up and pray at such random times...does everyone pray at the same time regardless of country or is it set times iyswim? I only ask cos the 4.30/5am prayer is the one i hear the most, which of course would be the 2am or so wake up for you.
I do always laugh once the last prayer is finished, if you try to call a take out the lines are always jammed and the supermarket is crazy due to it being opposite the mosque.
As for Saara, im sorry i have no idea im sure ill be asking the same things in a few months!

neeko we are still having the bottle battle.. thankfully now though she takes apple juice in her cup and other liquids so i could leave her for a max of 3 to 4 hours if needed and i know she wouldnt die of dehydration! It's a pain though, i wish she would take a bottle, just so dh and i could go out for a evening one in a while....not that it matter if we cant but it would be nice to have the option. Hope H is doing better now. You are right about missing the baby bit, i have been feeling like that for some some but couldnt explain it...but yes i have a mini 1 year old instead of a 6 month old I notice it more when at bumps and babes, all the other babies stay with mummy for the 2 hours, dolly on the other hand is on the floor playing with big boys and girls! Yesterday costa opened especially for all of us (bunch of expat ladies with under 1's) and she crawled to the counter, stood up and tried to reach for a pepsi

My barbie moment happened last night and for once didnt involve boobs. Decided to boil some eggs for dh, put the water on to boil..and forgot....for a full hour, while we we all upstairs doing bath time, cuddle time etc. Dh came down to find the pan burning red and the villa stinking! The funny thing was, we were both saying how warm the bed room was even though AC was on...i had made the house into a sauna!!!

Never did do the eggs....

hI iggy ahh i remember the days that i didnt get dressed til 3pm, nor eat, wash, walk the dog! It does get easier....the trick is to get someone else to take the dog out
