Man, not been on for ages, struggling to get puter time...

Have a great holiday Jools and love your name choice for MLS Smile.

MLS - am I terrible for Smile at falling off a bed being a baby rite-of-passage, like getting their first knee scab and nose bleed? 4ever it is awful, heart in mouth but they are very resiliant and don't fall like we would as they don't know they're going to hit a hard surface so don't seize up which is what causes most pain and harm. Its why when you fall over drunk you don't hurt as your body is relaxed. Anyhoo, we've all been there and it's one of many heart stopping moments that is parenthood!

Vjay - hope you're not all stirred up still from theother thread. sometimes its just bst to stay away.. Lovely image of you and Ajay on the train talking to a wee old Scottish lady. Did you share a scone Grin?

Monkey - have you made the trip with your windmill yet? I know I've said it before but always feel humbled by your amazing capacity to post here, offer advice and a kind word AND a recipe for mincemeat when your heart is still grieving so much. At the risk of sounding trite, and its maybe been mentioned before but have you looked into counselling? Just being able to talk about all these feelings your keeping locked up tight? Budha and me had some after our mcs and I founf it a relief being able to talk about my loss and hope and fears.. On a lighter note, I am so in love with mini boden this autumn, Isaac loves the skater monkey jammies, I just wish I could buy everything

mermaid - I think you were secretely in love with a Boris when you were younger Grin? He's popped up on every impending birth list! LOL at the 'Boden mummies' do they also carry Cath Kidtson bags?? How's the kitten, did you get the paint off?

Neeko - yay to mixed feeding going well. Just need to up the steak and pie solids!

barbie - have another gold star for being so persistent and patient with Dolly. You have one determined strong willed little lady there and you are doing a brilliant job knowing when to get tough and when to give cuddles. Glad her bowels are ok x

Buddha - lovely to hear from you honey! E is looking cuter and cuter, can you believe he is nearly a year Shock? Agree work is fine once you get back into it and part-time is the way to go-go!

Sabs - how did your first day back go? what a thing to spring on you just before you go back.. Keep us posted, remember I work in NHS HR so can give universal legal yeahs and no nos if you need.

LBM - did you get your car back??

Right, lunch over. All well 'chez blue'. DH and me are off Fri/Monday so going to Glasgow on Friday with boys to do a Crimbo recon and hopefully get curtain material for new room. Dying to get it kitted out and can't buy rug/candles/runner for table until I know my colour scheme...

littlebellsmum · 06/10/2010 14:34

Hiya

Blue Morning! No car for me - when BabyBelle was born, the car died and we decided to try with just one that DH takes to work, as wehn I'm at work, I don't really need one. And I take buses, trains, taxis or mainly walk everywhere - which is fine most days except for some of the mad ones last week and when I have to do the school run twice as DD forgot her glasses like she did this morning. How I enjoyed the walk in the rain again! Have a lovely shopping trip - Christmas ideas are starting here too now , might be a noisy one as DS wants a drum kit ..

Vjay, mermaid Can you stop with the Horace stuff - that was my Grandads name and one of the names that is predicted not to survive. I can't imagine why Wink And also Shock at Nerfeti - I thought it was only celebs who chose daft names for their kids.
Theres a little girl at school called Esmerelda and I really have to stop my self doing my best hunchback impression...
I think sonething double barrelled would be good like Noris-Norman
jools Emrmintrude is also a good plan
Vjay avoid other threads is obviously the solution. You ca't waste valuble me time being Angry

4ever Yes, I too have done the same things, babyBelle fell off a footstool when she was only about 6 weeks old and how bad did I feel. I also dropped a rainmaker on DD1's head when she was a few months old - I was trying to read the paper and entertain the baby at the same time and over it fell... get used to the guilt , it will be with you for the rest of your life...

Neeko Hello! HUrrah for H taking a bottle - it's a good job that she was so wanted or you might have been sending her back, she's been such a challenge for you!

MOnkey Good to hear from you and that you are souding so up beat - must be being busy that does it!

Barbie so pleased Dolly has the all clear but this little minx was also sent to try you too. Lots of brownie points for DH for doing the nights to try and wean her off the feeds. Hope the ac's fixed (Envy at you for needing it!)

budha lovely to see you - life is just busy so don't feel bad about being away.

And I know I'm missing people but need to go as BabyBelle is sleeping and there is 101 things I need to do.....

Neeko · 06/10/2010 14:44

Hi all. Lol at MLS outing me as a bad mummy! Grin H is absolutley fine and cried for literally 30 secs. It'll take more than that to put a dent in her Smile

Barbie all I can say is it's a relief now she takes one and my energy levels are rising. You'll know if and when the time is right.

Monkey sorry didn't expect you to reply. Was just checking that you got it.

Vjay I've actually lost a little bit but it's all been in saltwater tears. Smile Good luck for the exam when it comes.

Jools Happy holiday!

Buddha Welcome back newbie!

Mermaid love the names. Agnes, Senga, Bitsy...?

MLS We're all fed up now so just get on with it! Grin

4ever tis a rite of passage methinks.

Blue have a fab shopping trip. Hope all your boys behave or at least misbehave with angelic looks on their faces.

Went to see my friend's new baby boy today Good job i too have the coil, strings and all! Grin

Must dash. Nursery pick up and then off to the 1st birthday of my friend's baby who was due same day as my llo. Lovely to see him thrive.

Neeko · 06/10/2010 14:46

Xpost LBM Send her back? Shock The thought has never crossed my mind Wink

VJay · 06/10/2010 15:57

blue and lbm you are both so right I should've just stayed away from that stupid thread. I popped on here this morning and saw it on active discussions it was entitled 'disability benefits should be cut' which is a subject I am concerned about so I clicked on it. From now on I shall just stay in the greenhouse Smile

neeko well done on the weight loss Smile, sorry it's through tears, you know where I am Smile

Gotta dash, Ajay is napping Cjay is watching tv and I should be getting dinner ready.

4everhopeful · 06/10/2010 17:46

Angry with you Vjay shake it off though hon, just silly narrowminded people who dont understand.. We do though Wink have a baileys with me! Grin

You too Lbm ! Love you girls for sharing your stories and making me feel better and its not the end of the world! Poor babybelle! They are tough lil things thankfully arent they? Grin

Neeko we can all be bad mummys together then eh? Im sure it would take more than that to dent your little lady as well!

4everhopeful · 06/10/2010 18:00

Oooh yea, talking of weight loss have lost half a stone in just under 2weeks! Grin Not quite sure how though! Hmm

cupcakefairy · 06/10/2010 18:59

Hi ladies just to say am back in one piece! :) proper post later but have caught up with you all.

littlebellsmum · 06/10/2010 19:16

4ever I'm so Envy - 1/2 a stone inn 2 weeks? I managed to gain a lb this week and so am officially cross. I've got hardly any clothes to wear and need to lose weight fast! Ah well, have just stopped bfding and so, that might help ( she says with her fingers firmly crossed)

Lovely to see you cupcake - hope you had a lovely time in France. The red wine is particularly nice!

MummyLovesSadie · 06/10/2010 21:06

LBM I am amazed at you coping with no car & three children. I'm sure the weight will drop off you soon what with all that rushing around. Maybe now you have finished bf'ing, you should try the vodka diet?? Grin

Cupcake welcome back, now gimme those biscuits! Grin Can't wait to hear how your first trip abroad with ds went.

OMG Vjay that thread! I don't know if you've had another look at it since you posted but let's just say that the op has been thoroughly flayed alive & if she has any sense she will not be posting on mn again.

Neeko will you please quit talking about the freaking strings . Grin

Blue I'm with your on mini-Boden stuff - I just LOVE their clothes. I've never ordered anything for myself but twice a year do a big order for dd. I always wait until I get a special offer & last week managed to get 20% off my order - kerching!

Well my good news is that I don't have TB. They are trying to work out what this mycobacterium in my lungs is but TB it aint!

My dd is getting good with her days of the week & said to me the other day that she thinks the baby will come on Thursday so we'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

Neeko · 07/10/2010 09:43

Ok so last night H-the-solid-refuser ate a hula hoop that M put in her mouth! Shock I had my fingers in there too but she held on fast and swallowed. These girls will be the death of me, though we're contemplating just throwing a packet of crisps in the cot when she wakes up for a night feed! Grin M was very apologetic when I explained why she shouldn't do that while H was looking for more!

4ever I'm also Envy on the weight loss. Well done though.

MLS Strings, strings, strings, strings
stings! I'm hoping if you boak, it'll push the baby out! Grin

Vjay thanks lovely Smile Stay away from that thread and try not to worry about something that hasn't happened yet and may never happen. (That's do as I say, not as I do)

LBM The weight falls off suddenly for a lot of women once they stop. Didn't work for me last time but i have my fingers crossed for you. We are so hard on ourselves.

Cupcake welcome back and congrats on surviving your 1st holiday. That cereal I was texting you about is by Hipp not Organix btw.

Right off to clean the bathrooms whilst H is sleeping and M is snacking. Have a good day all and hopefully some time to relax. Not MLS though. You've got a job to do missy!Smile

bakingqueen · 07/10/2010 10:27

barbie1 · 07/10/2010 12:17

neeko i found this really good saying

'food for fun, before they are one!" my doctor told me not to sweat the small stuff, they will eat when they are ready...as long as the milk intake is sufficient they is no need to tie oneself in knots

barbie goes off to untangle herself and not worry so much the Dolly still prefers sweet things or chips she finds on starbucks floor!

barbie1 · 07/10/2010 12:24

My post are all coming out as separate ones Hmm

4ever dolly fell off the bed the morning we returned from the uk, i left her sleeping in the middle, came down for a drink and then thud ran as fast as i could as she was face down not moving Shock
Luckily she fell on to the mat and just missed the laura ashley all mirrored bed side table, still feel sick thinking about it. If i was lving back in the uk im sure i would of had a visit from social services by now, she is constantly covered in bruises and bumps, even considered getting her a baby crash helmet at one stage! (tile floors make a sickening sound when fell on)
Today i found her 3 stairs up Shock there will be my more heart in my mouth moments im sure....big hugs to your brave little girl x

cupcake hope you had a fabby holiday...did your friend find herself in Dubai? not heard from her, hope she is ok and settled???

Bakingqueen Grin Congratulations!! That is a fantastic welcome back just for me Wink
MLS Do you want me to shake off my pom poms and do a labour dance for you hun Smile
4ever I am so glad that we've all been able to put your mind straight, congrats on the weight loss - well done you Envy we've started a fat club at work and I've lost 3lbs last week but I've no idea where from!
Monkey I don't know how you stay so positive and cheery, you have really been through the mill lately and yet you still seem to smile on here x
Vjay Hark at you getting all christmassy and your Nigella Lawson style baking and organisation I'm well impressed! Sounds as if Ajay enjoyed his train trip, we took E on his first boat trip when we were away a couple of weeks ago, he loved it and was hanging over the back of the boat trying to get closer to the water, he just wants to get into trouble all the time!
Mermiad Wonderful name selections Grin
Sabs So sorry to hear that after all the worry of returning to work they give you such crap news Sad Fingers crossed it will work out for you - how has it been now you're back?
Neeko Ouch at the biting incident but Grin at the hula hoop one!
Barbie Hello lovely I've missed you too Smile I'm so glad (in the nicest possible way) that someone else has a bad sleeper! We have had an awful time too but I have to say that the last week or so has definately seen improvement - but strangely I feel more tired now! I'd love to know why good habits don't stick but one night of wakefulness turns into a bad habit that sticks for weeks/months??? Hmm Good news on the poo front though, really pleased it seems to have sorted itself out. And as for next baby?? Shock I'll have mine when you have yours!!! Grin
Jools Hope you are having a lovely holiday
Blue You are so right I love part time working, I just wish I could be a bit more part time Sad
LBM Drum kit Shock you are brave Wink

Huge hello to everyone else and thanks for all the messages asking after E who has fully recovered and back to causing trouble and getting into mischief, his favourite past time is destruction Grin

cupcakefairy · 07/10/2010 18:20
