Hey all

Moon - glad you're getting armed and dangerous with the OPKs and that the rule of sod will apply.. We are asll here rooting for you and will continue to be here holding your hand through early scans and beyond... It WILL happen.

monkey - poor suicidal fish! Second mermaid in getting thee to the pet shop for a replacement.. Has he rallied any? Sad. My sisters and me are still Sad and Shock as we think we may have buried my sister's gerbil in 1981 thinking he was in gerbil heaven when he may just have been hibernating.. Poor Peppie..

Neeko - send some plums my way Grin. you do have a good Life thing going on Envy sounds bliss. I've already txted you but boob no more/bottle day one was torture with Ben refusing or spluttering but he scoffed 7oz at 5pm that day and never looked back. You have done brilliantly getting this far, and H is a lovely, healthy, chunky of leg, chubby of cheek little lady. I would go back to the bottle you feel most comfortable with (was it Avent?).

louey - you write so well Smile. Fingers crossed for the symptom spotting and great you have your appoint. so soon. I also felt v. tired after my accup. Like a weight had been lifted in a way thoug...

MLS at your moses basket being all set up and ready for your DS GrinDD2 Smile. Are you going for a water birth? Has the name discussion opened up again? I see there is a thread on Devon v Eilidh. My neice is Eilidh (pronounced ayley) is Scottish for Helen. Links in your DH's Scottish roots?

Vjay - so what was Ajay's favourite pressie? Bet the cake has GONE!

mermaid - are you getting geared up for school? Is your DS in year 5 now Shock? Or even six?

4ever - this September sooo different to last one. big hug for your Sad dates but big kiss for S rto remind you how far you have come. My anniversary of first mc was Monday there (30th). Had a quite moment to myself as we never forget do we?

Barbie - really hope you have had some down time and not been circulated round the rellies too much. Have you done much clothes shopping for D? Just the odd thing or two I bet Grin.

Bennyboy is much better Smile. Turns out he had a viral infection (rosabelinfa-thingy)as he came out in a rash too so back to Dcos who confirmed it. Still on the anti-bs but sleeping through again .

Isaac is away to the caravan all weekend with DH's parents so we have a Ben only couple of days Smile. DH is polishing up the glint in his eye and is factoring in some cuddle time during Ben's day time naps Grin. re: OPKs etc. DH didn't care as any sex = sex in his book!

Have a good weekend everyone, enjoy the weather as it will be opaque tights and woollies before we know it x

mermaidspurse · 03/09/2010 17:32

Its flip flop flop friday and I have done a jools and am knackered.

you know blue I also think I may have buried a hibernating hampster once too.

ouch to nasty viral infection but glad he is picking up and you have had some quality time with dh too.

vjay a message from barbie to say happy birthday to ajay from her and that she misses everyone.

louey that is fab that your appoint. has come through so quickly, although it is a sudden heart in the mouth moment.

cupcake ah coming up againsts your mums wisdom. You have to adopt the nodding sagely approach, never easy. Photos are lovely by the way he looks such a contented and cheeky chap.

mls that reminds me is it asthma cos I got given a new inhaler a year or so ago which has more or less fixed my life long asthma it is a miracle and purple which is always good, seretide 125 evohaler.

4ever busy lady hope you are cool and dandy. Big kiss to that little biscuit.

monkey dare we ask re the status of ds fish? just don't flush it down the loo if the worst happens cos when it floats back up the u bend ds may get traumatised - this happened to my cousin and he has never allowed his mum to forgetGrin

right I reckon if I post this have a look around style and beauty and pop into yabu it will be time for wine o' clock.

I have missed but love you neeko iggy hope you are sleeping moon bakingqueen an especially sparkly weekend star.x where is questionsanswered and pfj hope if you lurk you are ok.

monkeybumsmum · 03/09/2010 17:59

Quick one from me hi moon and mermaid Smile

Blue Shock re gerbil, you must have felt awful when you realised. At least it won't have known what happened Sad Poor little Ben being poorly, but so glad he's on the mend.

DS's fish is a goner I'm afraid Sad I feel awful about it, and broke the news to ds a little while ago who calmly stuck his bottom lip out, said 'I'm sad mummy' and then 'can I watch television' Hmm Think I am more upset than he is! I've been out today to get another tank, with a lid this time, and we're off to get Fish II tomorrow - wish us luck!

Must dash, bolognese sauce on the hob needs sorting out!

I've put all ours in the sauce!

VJay · 03/09/2010 21:08

Oh your poor fishy monkey and monkeybum, but I did lol at the gerbil blue. I nearly did that years ago with a hamster, but luckily realised it was hibernating, anyway it woke up, then a few weeks later stared hibernating again, or so I thought, anyway I left it for a few weeks thinking it was hibernating Blush then smelt it Envy (sick face)

Yes the cake is all gone Blush, and I didn't lose any weight, but I am getting loads of comments saying that I look like I have, so it must be muscle. Well that's a first I must say, me having muscle!

moon lovely moon here's a hug and so glad you've ordered the opk's, I have my pompoms ready.

blue my dh was like yours, in fact he even took an interest when I did the ov tests cos he knew what he was in for Wink

mermaid I did lol at you rattling your pans Grin, and thanks for the barbie message.

We had a lovely evening out, the boys had a play, and I can't believe I now have a 1 year old Shock

Big waves to everyone, and mermaid pass the vino there's a love Grin

Well done svelte VJay Smile

Just back on mumsnet for some pet advice - it never rains but it pours Sad

Back soon xxx

BlueMoon1981 · 03/09/2010 21:53

monkey i have my fingers crossed for your doggy, pets become such a part of family you are bound to be worried, big hug xx

ThePFJ · 03/09/2010 22:17

Hi all, just a quick update, BFN today :( I am late yet again. What is going on with my body....? I am still lurking and big hugs to all you lovely girls. Love ThePFJ xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 03/09/2010 22:20

Oh Monkey you are not having much luck with your pets are you? I'm sure lumps could be lots of different things & not necessarily something serious.

Vjay I did similar things with several childhood hamsters. I honestly still have nightmares about dead/hibernating hamsters 30 years later!

Mermaid I had a similar life changing asthma moment when I started using Flixotide about 10 years ago, it was like I didn't have asthma anymore. Then within the last year (& because of my persistent cough) my gp changed me to Seritide - yes the purple colour is lush isn't it?! Anyhoo I'm actually on Seritide 500 (which is the strongest one) & last night my specialist increased me from one puff to two twice a day.

Louey did you have another sccu appt this evening? I noticed that your temp shot up again. I hope you don't mind me still looking at your chart but I do love a good chart & I miss the daily analysis of doing my own.

Moon have you poas yet??! Grin

Blue yes I'm going to ask for a water birth - totally inspired by Neeko's birth story. No more name discussions have taken place, I think we are going to leave it now until the baby arrives. One thing is for sure, I WILL GET MY WAY, make no mistake about that! Glad your ds2 is on the mend & lol at your dh planning some 'cuddle time'! Grin

Cupcake my icing was not so much drizzled on, it was actually shovelled on & was almost as thick as the cake itself! Grin Have you seen that Vanessa Feltz is going into the bb house tonight? I absolutely LOVE her! Yes you are right, babies used to get weaned at 4 months & believe it or not, before that they were weaned even earlier! Shock

Neeko I didn't sterilise any utensils & I weaned dd at four months.

Well my appt with my chest specialist went fine last night. More steroid tablets double the dose of my usual inhaler & he sent me for a chest x-ray after my gynae consultant appt this morning. Mw reckons this baby is going to be bigger than my dd who was 6lb13. Then went for x ray & had a phone call from chest consultant a mere three hours after that saying that my lungs look clear of infection so he's saying that my coughing & wheezing is more than likely caused by the pregnancy. I guess I've only about five weeks to wait until I find out if that is the case.

loueytbg · 04/09/2010 17:12

Just a quickie as I keep getting distracted by small children...

mls I'm glad it isn't an infection but it must be rough to have that for the rest of the pregnancy. Hopefully when he she moves down you might get a bit of relief from your lungs.

monkey your poor doggy. Hope you got some good news from your vet and the lumps are benign. Did you manage to get fish #2?

pfj I feel your pain. BFN here yesterday and today. Have no clue what is going on Confused. Its just messing with my head.

sveltevjay well done you! Always nice to have compliments Smile

moon Biscuit

We are off to a zoo tomorrow for the day - meeting up with stepbrother/sister and their various kids. Should be fun now I know that the weather is going to stay nice. Will of course let you know should the bfn turn into a bfp but don't get your hopes up...

BlueMoon1981 · 04/09/2010 17:33

bfn for me too, well i had to try out one of my hpts from babymad didnt i, being on cd33 i thought i should have a little check before my wine session commences. had a bit of a cry on df earlier after an umm Blush afternoon session. i recently realised that i will never be a mum in my twenties, dont know why thats so significant really, it just made me feel :(

opks and grapefruit juice here i come Grin

hope everyone is having a happy weekend :)

loueytbg · 04/09/2010 18:12

Bugger moon was thinking that one of us must have some luck this month. And don't worry about being in your 20's - I didn't have DTs until I was 35 - you've got time on your side and it will happen.

MummyLovesSadie · 04/09/2010 18:31

Moon I didn't have dd until I was 38. I keep telling myself that I'm glad I've left it so late as I'll be in my 60's by the time they decide to bugger off & leave home, rather than my 40's! Grin

Louey heartburn? Biscuit

loueytbg · 04/09/2010 18:49

mls I know. And I've been over analysing my previous pg charts and I had heartburn on those which I don't normally but still bfn. Don't believe my body any more.

VJay · 04/09/2010 18:56

Hiya

monkey so sorry about your dog Sad, I really hope the lumps are benign.

pfj, moon and louey aaarrrggghhh crappy bfn's!!!! Maybe you tested too early???

mls good news that your chest is all clear.

Have a poorly Ajay here, yet another cold. Can he have a pillow in his cot now?

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 04/09/2010 19:01

Oh I love Fertility Friend charts! Grin I used to spend hours comparing & analysing mine. One thing I will say about the Babymad hpt's is that they are really not very sensitive & I didn't tend to get a bfp with them until I was at least a couple of days late. I always found that First Response were by far the most sensitive & I could get a bfp at about 9/10 dpo.

MummyLovesSadie · 04/09/2010 19:02

Vjay yes a pillow at 1 years old is fine, or you could stuff a couple of towels under the top end of his mattress.

VJay · 04/09/2010 19:05

Thanks mls, I did prop his matress up last night, but he slept better next to me on my pillow.

moon I agree with mls the babymad pg tests were very faint for me when testing on time, but soon gave a strong result a few days later Smile

OP posts:
loueytbg · 04/09/2010 19:23

vjay or prop the top end of his cot on some books. Poor ajay

mls gaah - you're giving me hope again. I bought the ultra sensitive ones from babymad - are those the ones you mean? I just went to look at see how sensitive they are and it doesn't give a figure. I know FRER are the best but I haven't got any in the house and I'm not going to go and get any until at least Monday if no AF.

ThePFJ · 05/09/2010 07:32

Big hugs for louey and moon. Louey it does my head in too. WHY isn't my body doing what it should???? It's so frustrating. :(

Vjay I don't think I tested too early. I want to think that and do the whole clinging to hope thing but I have had too much experience with all this now, and I know that can't be a possibility. I wish it was though. I really do.

Was thinking of starting to take primose oil to help with my hormone balance? Any advice anyone please on the ULTIMATE things to take to help get PG and perhaps a list of things NOT to be taking?

Maybe some of you wise owls can dish out some wisdom my way :)

Thanks xxxx

QuestionsAgain · 05/09/2010 13:29

Thought I would just quickly pop in and wallow with the other small panters. Was away for nearly 3 weeks and then poor health has just meant that I haven't been up to much lurking or any posting

Sorry to louey moon and pfj Sad Hope the wise words and advice you get on here help you through, until this time next month when you hopefully get that magic bfp. I think you are all just kindly waiting until I can join in the BFP watch with you though Wink

Hope everyone else is doing ok, I will try and catch up properly soon,I have missed so much in fact, MLS you can't have too much longer to go now Shock

Barbie I think I spotted that you are visiting rellies over here, hope you are having a good time and not flashing at everyone Grin

A big hello to everyone else, I promise to read back through and at least get up to date, but I have been thinking of you all.

Things have been a bit weird, had a great time away, but have come back and the waiting to ttc is getting really hard now, seem to not be able to stop thinking about where I would have been at this time if I hadn't had the MC and not being able to ttc is frustrating me. Health wise, I haven't been too good and still waiting to get a date for surgery in the next couple of months. I have decided to chart though in the meantime, to help things along (hopefully make it quicker Hmm ) for when i am al last able to ttc. So have been temping (unsuccessfully!) and am about to start on the opk's. TBH, think I just wanted something to do. Grin

Apologies again for so few personals, I will be back Smile

MummyLovesSadie · 05/09/2010 20:50

Hello QA really glad to see you back - & that goes for all of the small panters. Sorry you're still ill. Are you charting on paper or using Fertility Friend online? No I've not got long to go now, only 5 weeks.

PFJ I can feel your frustration. Yes I've heard EPO balances your hormones & is also a natural anti-depressant. Here is what I used to help get & stay pregnant: opk's, charting, grapefruit juice, preseed, upsuck theory, & of course acupuncture.

Louey did you manage to not test today?

Vjay how is your little man today? I bet you secretly loved having him sleep on your pillow didn't you. Smile

Moon how are you doing? Any symptoms?

I've just eaten a massive helping of home-made blackberry & apple crumble & custard as we went blackberrying yesterday. Feeling very very full of baby & yummy mushy gooey sweet stuff.... mmmmmmmmmmm. Smile

BlueMoon1981 · 05/09/2010 21:06

mls i am a bit confused, no symptoms of anything. not even af, i did have but now they've gone Hmm last time this happened i just had a mega long cycle Angry come on stupid body no time to waste Grin

5 weeks Shock where did the time go, ooh we can get excited for you and get a sweepstake going soon :)

MummyLovesSadie · 05/09/2010 22:08

A sweepstake? For me? Blush Awww shucks go on then!

ThePFJ · 06/09/2010 08:18

QuestionsAgain thinking of you, hope the surgery goes well.

MLS Can I be thick and ask what opk's and preseed refers to please? Thank you oh wise one.

My family are coming up from Brighton today. I feel apprehensive but hopefully it should be fun..... :)

I'll leave a pot of tea out for you girls, help yourselves. xxxx hugs all xxxx

ThePFJ · 06/09/2010 08:20

Oh and still no Aunt Flo today. Confused
