Congratulations penguinsmummy! I hope it sticks.

Sarahmia that sounds embarrassing. Can you blame it on usual wedding emotions? The blessing worked for me once with ds (I was pg and didn't know it) and not the time I asked most recently which was my own sister. Oh well back to que sera.

Work is a bit quiet so I've nearly finished menu planning for the whole of yontif. Do you think brisket 2 nights in a row is boring on succot? I can't do alternate nights as my sister is coming for 1st night and can't eat garlic which is an essential and yummy part of the recipe.

sunchild77 · 16/08/2010 14:17

Wow Moofold its a "moment" isnt it, I hope she gets on well. My DD is 4.9, but for some annoying reason they dont start full days until mid september, she starts on thurs.... Feel really tearful when I think about it! LOL

getawiggleon · 16/08/2010 14:28

Congrats Penguin on your BFP! That's the first one I've seen since I joined the thread so it's great to hear some positive news. Fingers crossed for plenty more!

Sarahmia Sorry to hear the wedding was emotional but sounds like a lovely idea for the bride pray for you and bean. FWIW I read somewhere recently that nausea is a good sign - means all the hormones are busy at work!

I'm booked in for my ERPC tomorrow. After 2 weeks of letting things occur naturally I've almost stopped bleeding but the scan showed that there is still some tissue etc and cervix has not completely closed. I originally opted for local anaesthetic but having come home and overcome fear of not waking up afterwards and thought about it a bit more I think I'd rather not know what was going on. I've been doing fine and although I could handle the physical side of things it 's more the emotional side of what I'd be gong through.

So then it's the long old wait for AF.... Does tomorrow count as first day of new cycle??

Big wave to everyone else

getawiggleon · 16/08/2010 14:30

That bliddy crossing-out-word-thing never works, dagnammit! work, stupid thing, work

DachshundsRule · 16/08/2010 14:46

wiggle the crossing out thing is v annoyign - you need to put the hyphens around each single word in the sentence rather than around the sentence - v v tedious and annoying :(

sending sticky baby dust for anyone in doubt.

damn this 2ww stuff - I think I may have no hair left by the end of it!

DachshundsRule · 16/08/2010 14:47

oh, and forgot to say wiggle - good luck with the ERPC, hope it goes well :)

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 14:53

Wiggle best of luck for tomorrow. I had a general (didn't have a choice at the time) and I'm glad as I didn't want to be aware of what was going on. But it is your choice. Either way the emotional is much more difficult that the physical - just try not to expect too much from yourself

getawiggleon · 16/08/2010 15:14

Thanks :)

Penguin, do you mind me asking if you waited for first AF before you ttc again?

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 15:27

We didn't - we went straight for it!! Wink .

Being honest, given even the consultant described my MC as 'fairly traumatic', it was the only thing that made me feel any better and stopped me from constantly bawling, was the fact that we were trying again.

But I did have my WTF cycle which lasted for 38 days compared to my normal 25 days so immediate attempts post ERPC didn't work. My first cycle was obviously back to normal given yesterdays BFP - but I am not completely panicking already as still feel really crampy and can't believe that I have a BFP.

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 15:28

sorry - mistype - meant now completely panicking!

VivClicquot · 16/08/2010 15:29

Hi lovelies x

Big congrats penguin - may you have an uneventful eight months. :)

wiggle - good luck for the ERPC tomorrow. I also had a general and, aside from having to be kept in overnight because I had a high temperature after coming out of surgery, I definitely thought it was the best option.

Hey to everyone else, and a special squeeze to my homies moo, 8s, cheepz, jolls and linda barker PV.

5dpo here and nothing to report. It's even too early for a haddock. :)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 16/08/2010 16:48

Hello all, can I join you?

We're TTC again for #3 after a mmc at 16 weeks in July (baby stopped growing at about 14 weeks). I already have a DS (nearly 7) and a DD (just 4), both uncomplicated PGs and births, and had a lovely normal 13-week scan this time round, so was actually feeling quite laidback about it all. It came as a real shock when there was no heartbeat at 16 weeks Sad

Although the last PG was not exactly planned, we knew straight away that we wanted to try again, but was pretty half-hearted in WTF cycle due to it all being a bit too recent. However am now on cd4 of cycle 1 and feeling much more ready for it now.

I'm hoping that this will be a short stay here (no offence - you all seem lovely!) but it took about 8-9 months of properly TTC each time for DS and DD (and I was a bit younger then!) and over 3 years of "not being careful" for DC3, so I'm thinking I'll probably be here a little while (have invested in a CB Fertility Monitor to try and speed things up, despite all my vows not to get obsessive about it Blush).

Anyway just thought I would introduce myself, I'll stop rambling and see if I can work out how to add myself to your stats list!

Damn. Posted twice, am so eager to join you Confused

randomimposter · 16/08/2010 17:21

Bollocks.

Back again. Another MMC at 12 week scan today, baby measured 10+1. Sort of knew it was coming.

Back later to remove myself from BFP list. Again.

Hi to all. (Have already been for a pint... is that bad?)

Moofold · 16/08/2010 17:38

Oh Jolls, I've been running back and forth to the PC waiting to hear your news. Am so so sorry my love, I am devastated for you. I know you were worried after the brown spotting but even so, nothing can prepare you for bad news, its still heartbreaking. And no, going for a pint is not bad - when we found out last time we purchsed wine on the way home.

Take care of yourself, lots of love and hugs to you x

VivClicquot · 16/08/2010 17:40

Fucking fucking fuck. Jolls, my love - I don't believe it. I really don't. I'm so devastated for you. Life is so fucking cruel.

I hope you and DH are okay as you possibly can be?

(Beer sounds good. When it happened to me, I had two glasses of wine within four hours of the scan. Blush)

Am off home from work but will message you later. Take care lovely.

xxx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 16/08/2010 17:42

Jolls just posted on other fred. So sorry chicken :( I am so glad you have had a pint xxxxxx

Hi IzzyWizzy sorry you are here but welcome and I hope your stay is short!

Wiggle good luck. I had a GA too and was def the best option.

Moof how did she get on? I bet she loved it?? Bless you having a boo xx

sunchild77 · 16/08/2010 17:44

Oh Im so sorry too jollster I hope you have lots of support at home to give you cuddles and no its not bad at all having had a pint.. Look after yourself, Take care and lots of love to you x

Muser · 16/08/2010 17:55

Said it on the other thread, but wanted to say it here too. I am so sorry jolls. I wish there was something I could. It's so unfair and it makes me want to scream.

Have a beer, then have another one. Please look after yourself.

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 17:58

So sorry Jollster. Take care of yourself.

northerngoldilocks · 16/08/2010 18:00

Jolls - I'm so sorry. Know you said you 'sort of knew' but then also know that you always hope you'll be wrong too.

Beer is definitly not 'bad' in this situation.

So unfair, I'm really really sorry.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 16/08/2010 18:04

jollster - so, so sorry to hear your sad news Sad

wiggle - I too had an ERPC under GA after my mmc, it was over very quickly and I felt fine when I came round (physically!). Best of luck for tomorrow.

Right - have attempted adding myself to the stats list. I've updated everyone's CD from yesterday but haven't moved anyone around. Hope that's OK and I haven't made a mess of it!
