Right what have you lot been up to in the last week Blush few days?!

You seem to all be getting along well without me lowering the tone.

Sad to see so many new peeps.
Hi! Smile
Tis a luvverly place to be but I hope you are not sticking around too long.

I'm not going to fib, I'm crap and I honestly do not have the Brian capacity to namecheck everyone so can I just say squeezes to thoses' whos needs thems and boozes to thoses' whos can/must/needs it.

Not much hss been happening here apart from the DIY.
I could bore you all with my excitment of new lamps, cushions and cavity wall ties but I shall refrain.
The DIY is going well, MIL has been staying with us over the weekend from That London.
She's ver good!
She likes lists!
She likes buying things on lists too!
I have a new hoover!
I have nothing to actually hoover as we've ripped most of the carpets out but, hey.

TTC wise, errr we did SWI when we should've??? Hmm
My EWCM is still on/off??
I think I'm making up for last month when there was none.
I don't blardy know!
We will see, am feeling quite optimistic about things in general, lavverly new things for house and jobs looking good too.

Meh.
Who knows.
Grin
Anyone heard from Empty?

In the absense of DH for a cuddle, I have had much needed, hugs, squeezes and am feeling the love from you all, thanks girls.

Dachs happy SWI and you never know, this could be the one, have everything crossed for you. BTW loving the new names both you and Owl have :)
Moof we had sun here too - it's a miracle and that too has cheered me up today!
Hairy - you make me laugh and hope your sore nips are a good sign too.
Battery - very good advice, think body and hormones equally all over the place! Here's hoping I get the extra 2/3 days I need to coincide with DH's visit home!

Thanks Mama :)

Hello all hope you're having a good evening. I'm waiting 101 Dalmations :-) I've told DH that maybe I need a puppy to stop me stressing about babies...! Unfortunately I work long hours so it's not practical :-( Booooooo! dachshund how many dogs have you got?

hopefully I love your website - v cool! mama sorry about AF :-( You never know though - I think a MC changes all sorts of timings so I wouldn't lose hope yet.

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 20:20

pinkff we have two adorable fluffy little bundles of miniature dachshund. v practical dogs for working people - sleep most of the day and are small enough to use a cat flap. not yappy little things, proper dogs with short legs. :)

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 20:33

oh, am now officially on the 2ww :)

Cheepz · 15/08/2010 20:37

I suppose it could have been classed as symptom spotting but does it really count when I am more interested in when I will be able to drive from a to b again without fear of an emergency stop in a lay by! Its still on and off - could deal with having the runs all the time like a tummy bug but intermittent is annoying - just when I think it has gone away and everything is 'normal' its suddenly not again. CD 22 in the Cheepz house and we have no discerible symptoms - which oddly is kind of what I am hoping - would like to ease back in gently and the thought of a BFP cycle 1 after my sabbatical seems like it might be abit of a shock to the system - plus have been a little lax on my folic acid intake

anyway

seems like you have all been donesticly goddessness this weekend and I have been, well not really, I have been working quite alot as I have a big board meeting tomorrow and am briacking myself as its only week 3 - i will dress nicely and hopefully that will divert some of the attention ;)

dachs I love dachshunds, had a friend at school who bred them and always had a load of the little lovelies running around, bless

PV stop with the DIY woman - you are like a one woman xtreme home makeover

LadyBee · 15/08/2010 20:46

mamapower hope you're feeling a little better. Try not to despair, your cycles may not have shortened absolutely, things might just still be settling down? But still, not great news that DH won't be around at the right time, very stressful. Maybe put yourself on the 'wait' list for cycles that you don't have a chance on?

northernG congratulations! That's a great scan result, very reassuring I hope Smile

dachshunds I have several books - one is a learn to knit book that has some basic patterns in it.
Then I've also got:

this one
and this one

on the OPK I reckon go for it..what's the worst that can happen? too much SWI?

Moofold how many days is your daughter going to nursery for? We're trying to get a few sessions to start easing DS into a nursery setting - finding one with any free slots is a nightmare though, think we'll have to get him on a several lists and see what happens.

battery so sorry for your friends, how awful to have two miscarry in the same week? did they know each other?

Hey prettyvacant sounds like good progress is being made...and that you're being well distracted from all this nonsense which can only be a good thing, right?

PinkFondantFancy · 15/08/2010 21:09

Good luck tomorrow cheepz on both the meeting and the house exchange!

tigger15 · 15/08/2010 22:06

Cheepz I've had this for a while. I think it's brought on by certain brands of decaf coffee in my case - but only the ones used in the free machines at work or the discounted cafe at work. Full price pret seems to be fine....

Could yours be coffee connected too?

Good luck with the exchange.

Velvetcu · 15/08/2010 22:54

ok I need some advice ladies!

I'm not temping or opking coz I dont want to be stressing over it too much but I'm started to get stressy coz its CD13 tomoz and I my cycles vary from 28 to about 34 days so got to start SWIing but I dont want it to be making baby focused all the time. How do you get around this? Or dont you?

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 08:46

OMG OMG - got a BFP yesterday morning!!! Am still in shock Shock. And am absolutely terrified as still feeling very crampy and like AF is on the way. Cannot believe it!!!

DachshundsRule · 16/08/2010 10:37

Yay penguins

Fab news

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 11:00

Thanks Dachshund - am currently sat in the most boring budgets meeting in the world and my head is all over the shop! Smile

sunchild77 · 16/08/2010 11:08

Ahhh Congratulations PenguinsMummy Great news... :)

velvetcu Im in the same boat - although I have a wee while before Ov yet.. Im trying to be chilled, but I dont know if thats possible! Im a planner who likes to know! I think I will just get as much swi-ing in around Ov time and take it from there... Im nervous cos I know we are pretty fertile, but worried cos I dont know how the m/c might screw things about (no pun intended!) Good luck with trying to chill out! :)

We had a good saturday, as was local carnival fair thing... This is the last week of school hols here now(scotland) whoo hoo! I allowed myself a wee blub yesterday as DD is starting school, I was crying a bucketload ironing her nametags on yesterday...! I didnt think Id be so emotional as I am....

sarahmia · 16/08/2010 12:09

morning all!

sorry been MIA over the weekend, was a mad one and had a very good friends wedding yesterday... very emotional. Jewish belief that the bride has special connection to g-d on her wedding day and is tradition to pray for other people on your wedding (aswell as yourself) so i told her about my bean and asked for her to pray for it to be healthy. At the end of the wedding i went to say goodbye and she gave me a blessing that the baby should be healthy and i should be able to move past my loss and i just lost it. I started crying with loads of people watching and the more i tried to control it the worse it was. in the end had to leg it to the toilets and let it out properly but then looked ridiculous! was super embarrassing

been having a bit of nausea which i dont know is good or bad as i never had it with my one healthy pregnancy. my boobs have deflated but im over 10 weeks so that could be why?

penguins mummy THAT IS FANTASTIC NEWS!!! wishing you a very very healthy and happy pregnancy

owlshoes · 16/08/2010 12:47

Woohoo penguin ! Fingers crossed for the most uneventful 9 months ever :)

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 12:48

Thanks guys - think I will lurk quietly in this thread for the next few months hopefully - think I will be too scared to move anywhere else! Grin

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 16/08/2010 12:49

sorry for hiding away Blush but have been lurking and keeping up with you in spirit!

Lots of new names on here, which is sad to see but you are in the right place and it is great here, support and virtual chocs and wine on tap! Welcome to you all.

Congratulations to Penguinsmummy :)

Sunchild you have just reminded me that I need to sew/iron on hundreds of labels as dd1 starts school in a few weeks, I also need to do battle in Clarks too for school shoes Hmm Angry think I might will send DH instead! I wish her all the best (and you too, I hope you manage to keep your tears back until you are out the gate!) Moof how did your LO get on today???? Sounds like you had a lovely day on the beach, very Envy

Velvet I never went in for the temping/charting or OPK stuff. The more sex you have the more you want right? Ok who am I trying to kid?? I think you just have to try and not think about the baby stuff (I know this is almost impossible though) I am sure there is another thread that might give you some suggestions. Good luck!

Cheepz Good luck with your meeting today and your exchange - I have all crossed!

Big wave to preeeetty. Beeeelieve our wooden floors need more hoovering that carpets Angry but I think this has something to do with our rather large and dog like long haired cat. Where art thou Vivofthecliq?

Northerng I can't remember if I caught up with you on the other fred? I think we are the same due date now?

Just a mini update from me on the uva side......have my booking in with lovely bereavement midwife on Fri, she knows my history so thankfully she will be sympathetic, not say stoopid things to worry the bollocks out of me and not make me painfully go through my long and complicated history every time I have an appointment. Feel sick during every waking hour, would like to lay and just look at the wall all day I am so tired and having 2 in there plus being PG number 4 = serious pot belly Grin Taking all this as good. Each day as it comes.

Have a great day ladies!

lucysnowe · 16/08/2010 13:16

Hi all!

Still here :-)

A bit depressed as I thought the metformin would reduce my cycle, you know, a tad, but it's still going to be at least 43 seeing as how am 29 or something and still no sign of anything approaching ovulation. GAH stupid body.

OTOH I have lost a whole four pounds, which can't be bad.

moofold so sorry to hear your news, hope you are taking care of yourself. Hope everyone else is well. :)

Freezingmyarseoff · 16/08/2010 13:36

Big congrats to Penguin that's fab news. I hope its the start of a big string of BFPs for this month

Moofold · 16/08/2010 14:00

Hey penguin fab news! You were worried about your cycle length are here you are with a BFP instead!

8s good to see all is well with you. I hadn't said before but I'd heard morning sickness was twice as bad with twins - but as you say, all good in the end so worth it.

Cheepz hope you're getting on alright today and your bottom's behaving :) Hello MrsPV, good to have you back. Viv you have been quiet, no news? LucyS nice to see you back again, thanks for your thoughts. No wonder you are frustrated with cycle lengths. Have no knowledge of metformin - maybe it takes a wee while to kick in?

bee our DD is at nursery for half a day 5 days a week. She is 3 and a half so its the free places. Luckily the nuresry we got her into is part of the primary school she will go to. Sunchild, there must be something in the air. Just dropped her off an hour ago, had to call her back out of the classroom to say cheerio - not a backward glance from her. Feels so strange leaving her with people I don't know and I am worried she hadn't grasped that I was going away. So came home her and BAWLED my eyes out for about 20 mins. Going to collect her at half 3 so will find out how she got on.

PenguinsMummy · 16/08/2010 14:12

Thanks Moof - really can't believe it. Here's hoping this bean decides to stick around.

My oldest daughter nearly had me in tears this morning when she declared that she wished it was Friday so that we could be at home for the weekend - guilt trip for the FT working mum....Sad
