Thanks for the lovely supportive comments!

PFF keeping busy is the thing that actually keeps me the most distracted Grin. I am rubbish at relaxing! Find it really hard being so incapacitated with first trimester sicky/woozy/tired feeling all the time. Am looking forward to regaining energy and getting on with wedding dress making/rebranding my business (came up with a really good plan this weekend for growing my business, but will require some time and energy)/quilt making/bread baking/planning what to spend my non-existent money on for winter clothes etc etc. It makes the time pass much faster!

Battery all sticky bean dances gratefully received

Am living off tomato sandwiches (with a sliver or two of cheese). I can't get enough fruit (including toms) when pregnant, same as DS.

PinkFondantFancy · 14/08/2010 18:45

Sorry Cheepz! Not sure about the diahorrea - fingers crossed it is a symptom!

I went to a Zumba class today, it was fab!

harriet you domestic goddess you! you are putting me to shame! I was supposed to have done a day like that but all I've done is bought some new clothes!! Long haired dachshunds are gorgeous, glad they are cheering you up :-)

PinkFondantFancy · 14/08/2010 18:47

hopefully you are sounding much better! Tomato sandwiches must be v. good for you I would have thought. What is your business (if you don't mind me asking)?

Hopefully · 14/08/2010 19:23

I sell vintage haberdashery things (ribbon, buttons, fabric etc) on etsy, an american website. Sell mainly to Americans, but also in UK and Japan occasionally. I am basically thinking of 'branding' things a bit more (and pricing them accordingly), a bit more like this seller does. My store currently looks like this - a lot more rough and ready, but my costs are v v low (basically only stock, and because of the nature of what I sell I don't have to keep tons in stock at any time). I love doing it Smile

DachshundsRule · 14/08/2010 19:24

pinkff - it was actually quite nice just messing around in the kitchen without DH underfoot (he was out today). I would have preferred to be buying new clothes though!

Unfortunately with DH being out, it means his credit card is also out. I could use mine, but I prefer to use any means possible to persuade him to buy me stuff wait until he spontaneously decides to buy me something I've told him I want

Freezingmyarseoff · 14/08/2010 19:54

Just correcting my stats I lost a couple of days!

I was meant to be camping this weekend but chickened out - quite glad considering the amount of rain we've had since I made my decision.

Cheepz don't know about the diarhoea but hope it gets better if it's not a symptom. Keep up with symptom spotting though! I'm very tired today but mostly due to a teething toddler - I can keep dreaming though.

Dachshunds good work on the domestic goddess front - please feel free to come round and help me.

Got the builders arriving on Monday for the next 4 months so that should take my mind off things!

Sorry not to name check everyone else
xx

hopefully I adore tomato sandwiches too, they are a staple for me even more so when pg. Also apples & cheese. When pg with ds I practically lived on carrot sticks, nectarines, grapes, apple and cheddar for the first trimester.

dashingharry chocolate pav sounds sublime.

I also feel like I'm spending money like it's out of the monopoly box - car fixing, trip to paris, cocktails out plus a babysitter (both for DH's 40th), several items of furniture, clothes for ds..it just isn't ending at the moment. Am dreading to see the state of the bank account/credit cards at the end of this month.

I only managed to get one of my mittens done last night, think I'll press on and see if I can do the other tonight - I'm a really slow knitter, i'm sure there must be ways to do it more efficiently but I'm just a beginner so am impressed at myself just attempting this stuff Grin

Hopefully · 14/08/2010 21:13

Ladybee I have had a pair of socks on the needles for about 3 months Blush. I'm actually quite a fast knitter (you need to learn continental knitting - you'll be churning stuff out!) but for some reason have completely lost my mojo with these socks and refuse to start something else till they're done! Will finish them soon so i can start on baby clothes though Smile

digitalgirl · 14/08/2010 21:24

hopefully excellent news on the hb at scan. V impressed with your healthy first trimester cravings, I seem to recall eating nothing but carbs in 1st 12 weeks when pg with ds.

hairy regardless of my confused cervix (sort of closed but seemingly producing loads of ewcm) I'm still pretending I'm on the countdown and happy to be your 2ww buddy. May the force be with us. Out of interest how long is your lp? Mine is 15-16 days.

Nice new name dachs also jealous of domestic energy - have only managed to make a lasagne and put one load of laundry on. Which reminds me...must go hang it.

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 08:32

OPK says :)

If I'm a bit quiet for the next couple of days you'll know where I am Wink

Looks like that chocolate pavlova and bottle of wine might need a new home. (just to be clear about the pavlova, it's a chocolate meringue with a layer of chocolate ganache with kirsch in it, with a layer of cherries, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkled on top)

DH seems quite happy at the idea of lots of SWI, surprisingly!

Can I join those of you on the 2ww? I've got all those spare haddock :)

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 08:34

digitalg yum, lasagne is my favourite! can I steal it?

MamaPower · 15/08/2010 08:36

Morning all, In floods of tears! Someone slap me! Af arrived and it's not good news because 1) that puts me on a 25day ucl! I think the mc's have really screwed body as was always so regular (I'll re-do list later) and 2 that def means me and dh will not be in same country to ttc for aug or sept! I am totally gutted! I feel like it's never going to happen! Sorry it's all about me, hope you're Sunday mornings all get off to a better start x

northerngoldilocks · 15/08/2010 08:44

Morning all,

Haven't been posting for a while - too stressed, then too knackered. Think my life has changed from having naps, to having short periods of waking between sleeps. Work is a struggle!

After holding out until 8 weeks went for a scan on Wed. EPU were lovely about scanning me for reassurance which was great.

Anyway, all good, saw a heartbeat and based on the measurements was 8+6 rather than 8, so gained a bonus week (obviously good when days are going so slowly).

Am actually amazed at how much calmer I am. Obviously still have moments of sheer terror that complacency isn't good and it could all go wrong, but think it was the right thing for me to do.

Finding it hard to keep up on here, welcome to newbies, sorry you're here, but people are lovely and supportive.

Where is Mrs PV starting to get worried that she actually is glued to a wall behind some beautiful wallpaper!

Hopefully good news on your scan - fab

Cheepz hope you're feeling better

Battery - retail therapy sounds great. Hope your cat's ok too.

Sorry to everyone I've missed, but good luck to those on the 2WW

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 08:51

sorry to hear that mama

passes a nice cup of tea and a big box of kleenex supersoft and gives a big hug

northerng glad to hear it's going well. we are all convinced that PV has indeed wallpapered herself into trouble as well.

As a lot of you seem to be knitters, can anyone point me in the direction of some good patterns for baby stuff? I haven't knitted for years, but if I ever do manage to get pg again I'd like to be able to do some stuff for the little one. Obviously the patterns would need to be quite easy!

morning to everyone I haven't namechecked!

Moofold · 15/08/2010 10:45

Morning, great news on the scans Hopefully and northern, that must be such a relief and should help you start to relax and accept that good things can, and will happen x

Sorry about RTD and feelings pants for mama and tigger. Sending lots of hugs and luck for Jolls for tomorrow and also scratching head as to the whereabouts of MrsPV?

Its beautiful up here for the first time in weeks. Spent the day at the beach yesterday and getting the paddling pool out in the garden today. DD starts nursery tomorrow and I'm going on a diet and stopping drinking wine every night so one last day of indulgence ;0 Hope you are all well

Hopefully · 15/08/2010 10:59

Dachshunds I have this book, which has some pretty easy patterns in it - mainly rectangles sewn together, with the odd bit of increasing and decreasing. Lots of You Tube videos and online tutorials if you get stuck anywhere too :)

Having a couple of old uni housemates over for lunch today (complete with very sweet 1yo boy), have pulled potatoes, carrots, beans and spinach from the garden to go with roast chicken so am feeling very Good Life.

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 11:34

thanks hopefully :)

Your lunch sounds scrummy! I'm crap at gardening so all our vegetables come from the supermarket. I feel like roast chicken now I've seen your post, but unfortunately we are having beef fillet for lunch.

We're a domesticated bunch this weekend, aren't we!

hairytriangle · 15/08/2010 11:59

sorry to hear that Mama :(

Northern thanks for sharing - good to know all is well!

Digibuddy :)

My lp (luteal phase?) is about 14 days (I think) had always thought I ovulated day 12, but it appears from my clear blue gadget that I ovulate closer to day 14 ( I think days 13 and 14 had peak and then day 15 and 16 low).
I have a 28 day ish cycle usually.

I now have sore nips and am trying hard not to imagine that this is some early sign LOL.

hairytriangle · 15/08/2010 12:00

PS Go Datschund! You are officially in charge of SWI Tag ;)

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 12:48

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clearblue OPK says :)
First response says no and so do internet cheapies

Which do I believe???????????????????

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 12:50

clearblue said no every day for the last week but today it said yes. twice.

but the others say no and the test lines are REALLY faint compared to the control line, so it looks like not even close.

am becoming deranged sniffling mess again!

batteryhen · 15/08/2010 13:19

Right who is first for the fish slap? _ that sounds like symptom spotting to me lady ! I am here to remind you of what you said to me ... far too early ( but will keep fx all the same):)

mama you do not need a slap -you just need a squeeze xx my cycle was all over the place, dont write off thee next few months just yet - your body may surprise you, keep the faith my love x

daschund I like the clear blue - if it says :) then just SWI - clear blue are quite accurate - so go for it girl - as hairy said the SWI tag is yours - now you go girl!

northern that is lovely news - glad to know your EPU were good too

wave to digi moof and hairy and everyone else.

Am still on the very dull 2ww -how is it that time goes so slowly??

Well it's been a mixed week here, 2 of my friends have miscarried this week :( but another of my friends who had a MMC last year gave birth to a little girl yesterday so I am really pleased, and can't wait for a cuddle. Other news - a massive spider sauntered into my living room last night so I had to get my neighbour to 'remove' it - (at midnight no less)Blush the cat has devoid herself of all spider catching duties since hearing about her heart murmer.:(

Have a lovely day - and now I am off to the shops :)xxxx

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 16:37

now even the clearblue is negative. yes, i know i need haddocking for constantly checking, but is it normal for it to be positive in the morning, twice, and then be negative in the afternoon?

batteryhen · 15/08/2010 16:43

dachshund yes that can happen - maybe your LH surge was short and you only caught it this morning.

Do you temp as well - that will tell you if you have ovulated for sure xx

DachshundsRule · 15/08/2010 17:02

battery not temping at the moment because it's all been a bit funny since the pg and mc anyway, so I've only got the sticks to go on

We're going to SWI anyway and see what happens, but I think it's just a weird cycle and don't expect anything to come of it. But then, since we've been trying for 7 years and nothing's happened apart from the once I don't know why the whole :) thing is bothering me much this month anyway!

did you get anything nice while you were indulging in retail therapy?

Oh well, back to twiddling thumbs and the 2ww.

hopefully I hope the lunch went well
