dorcas splendid news, hurrah!

jolls I agree with northern tell a little fib just to get you in there. Turn up and stamp your feet if you have to, I bet people do it all the time and I reckon I would if I was in your position.

Harriet it's good that a problem has been identified and something can be done. Full speed ahead for you now hopefully x

Well it seems I have learnt two things today, there is a view all posts button (thanks northern) and jolls and tigger, I thought you were talking about skirts when you said microminis! Clearly you weren't!!!! I am such a div sometimes.

ledkr · 05/08/2010 18:06

Hi I hope you don't mind me popping in I was seeing if anymore news from my old thread buddy honeywitch. Can I just say to those of you worrying re symptoms ...I had lack of symptoms with this pg and several times was convinced of another mmc but all still ok at 14 wks....also I did embellish some mild spotting to get a scan....please don't flame me I was going 100 miles for nt screening and couldn't face finding out miles away from home. Anyway moral is no symptoms is not necessarily bad news and lack of nhs scans for ladies like us can lead to desperate measures. lots of luck to you all.

PrettyVacant1 · 05/08/2010 18:24

Just another quickie whilst pausing the painting malarkay.
I posted before but for some unknown reason the craptop froze and waited until I'd finished typing to bleedin' tell me that it wasn't gonna play.
I'd disconnected the router when I took all the plugs out to paint behind the T.V
I have no idea why!?

Well the jist of it was....

Yey BouncyDorcasBean
Now CHILLAX woman!
MN orders!

Harriet sorry about the mixed bag of news.
You sound really positive which is half the battle.
Fingers crossed that things happen quickly.
Re. MIL you could tell your DH until he does the deed of speaking to his charming mother the only thing he'll get lucky with is a sample pot

Northen I will try your tip thanks.
I'll use the time I would have taken to wash them on MN wisely.

Well... I ended with I was off to paint the Living Room ceiling but I've now done that.

Was going to do woodwork too, but slighty underestimated how long it would take me and I'm all achey, because I have ME I can't keep my arms up for long so I've given in
I really want to do exciting stuff, I've chosen a lovely light braaawwwn to do the wood.
All this prep and painting stuff white is boring.
Boo.

Hi to everyone else too, really should get in the shower, white gloss on everything is not a good look, although the cat seems to suit the stripe up his tail, he looks like a skunk!
Football is on later and as we only have the one funtioning Living Room Mr.G is kindly buggering off to his Dads to watch it so ....
I'll be back xxx

Hmmm. well no wonder this is called the wtf cycle - have had a minip period (not enough for tampax/pads, but enough to worry! but still says preg!

Moofold · 05/08/2010 20:20

Phew Dorcas!! What a RELIEF! Hopefully & Jolls, I can't believe you can't get reassurance scans - that's a disgrace. Good to see things moving along foor you Harriet.

BarrenB I didn't know those things either, you are not alone! Hope you're ok Honeywitch.

Evening to Viv, Julia, Saffron, Hairy, Knitter,YRMOTB, Penguins, 8s, Ivy, Northern and anyone else that's about. MrsPretty* I'm going to come check out your wallpaper on FB x

Moofold · 05/08/2010 20:30

PS, have I imagined it or did someone on this thread have diabetes? There's a girl on one of the miscarriage threads asking about diabetes in pregnancy - success and miscarriage rates. Was it Aly? Can anyone remember?

tigger15 · 05/08/2010 21:51

I think so but it's me too. I'll go find the thread.

Just popping in to say hello.

Barren I like the idea of the micromini . I've never yet worn anything shorter than knee length on religious grounds but have always had a desire for mini skirts.

Dorcas I'm very relieved to see you're not full time joining us. I hope the rest of the pg is more relaxing.

sarahmia · 05/08/2010 22:01

oooo did anyone just watch mistresses????

I forgot how much i LOVE that show! last season looks to be a goodie!!!

ps tigger longer skirts is possibly one of the easiest halachot i keep, (i dont have very nice legs now, not eating lobster, not so easy!! always wanted to have a taste of that!

tigger15 · 05/08/2010 22:03

Moo thanks for the tip. I've posted on the diabetic thread now.

Jollster did you manage to find a discount for the scooter?

waves again to everyone.

tigger15 · 05/08/2010 22:06

yeuch no!! They're alive. I always remember going into a fish monger and seeing a black lobster (I believed then that they only came in pink) and said to dh - euw it's ugly. It then moved and I shrieked "it moved!". Dh and fishmonger not impressed.

Meat and milk or general food eaten with others is things I'd like to do. But I've always wondered if I'd have the guts to wear a mini skirt.....

digitalgirl · 05/08/2010 22:16

dorcas so pleased to hear all is well.

Still no +ve opk. And am off on hen weekend Saturday morning. Would be bloody typical if I get that second line tomorrow. If it happens after Saturday I won't mind at all.

Had a dream I got a bfp, followed by another dream that I was having contractions whilst walking along the beach and telling DH to stop squeezing my belly. I had a dream I got a bfp last cycle too...so unfortunately I can't pretend it's a sign.

randomimposter · 06/08/2010 07:54

Tigger - if you're after pink/blue, Jojo Maman is prob your best bet with a 15% off plus free deliv (often to be had). I was v lucky and there was a 15% off at mini micro itself at the time (code was scooter - prob not still valid). Keep an eye on the Promo Codes and Vouchers section on MN...

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and concern. Am not going to push for an early scan. If things don't work out, I'd prefer to MC naturally than have an ERPC again (just as I think it had less impact on my cycle), so nothing really to benefit from finding out early. And I'm (mostly) pretty relaxed about it, so not anxious or stressed. So que sera and all that...

Wave to all x

Morning all x

jolls - loving your zen-like calm missus.

Day 9 in the Big Viv House and after I'd peed on my CBFM stick this morning, I accidentally dropped it in the loo. Blush Wiped it down, stuck it in and it gave me a high - which is way earlier than I have ever had a high before. So now I don't know if it was a genuine high and that I'll be getting my peak earlier than usual too, or if it's simply because it was drenched. Brilliant.

Aside from that, it's Friday and I'm looking forward to a lovely weekend. Tomorrow is officially my second favourite day of the year as it's the start of the football season, so I'll be cheering on my Derby boys tomorrow against the dirty dirty Leeds. YAY! Plus it's my friend's birthday party tomorrow night, and then on Sunday, we're having a family celebration in honour of my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary, which is just amazing. Good times. :)

Anyway, have lovely days everyone.
xxx

youremindmeofthebabe · 06/08/2010 09:12

SWI in a tent loopy, good luck! Don't forget to switch the lights out Wink

honeywitch I had two of those mini periods, after i got a neg on a test. But i knew when my real period came, 2 bloody months later.

digitalgirl I've got fx for a sunday OPK for you! But enjoy the hen do!

Soo, the mouse story. Those of a nervous disposition look away now.

Two nights ago, am fast asleep in bed. I become aware that the light is on, and DP is standing at the foot of the bed. Me, WTF are you doing?
He, I heard a mouse.

I'm like, don't be stupid, it'll be a noise outside or something.
He's adamant that he can hear something. Alright, I think, I'm obviously not getting back to sleep, I'll humour him. Where did you hear it?
Over there, near the curtain.

Looked at the curtains, and about halfway up, chillaxing on MY curtains, a little brown mouse. I shat myself. Not happy. And i'm really sorry if this upsets anyone, but i had to get dp to dispose of it. I had visions of it running off and hiding under my bed, and me never going to sleep again.

So consequently I have spent 2 days stuffing wire wool in every little hole you could ever think of around the house, and DP cementing all the holes in the external house.
urgh.

Hope you're all ok.

batteryhen · 06/08/2010 09:29

Morning all,

Quick post from work - thanks cheepz for my medal :) I do try and make an effort!!

Love the mouse story - I have a similar one involving a cockroach and a football team - but that is for another day Hmm

Am off to Germany later - I have my cough medicine, OPKS Pregnacare, thermometer, RED underwear Grin and waxed bits. No one can say I am not prepared !

Big wave to all - sorry not to name check but is a flying visit - am very excited that I am seeing Dp after 3 weeks of 'no lovin'... Grin

VivClicquot · 06/08/2010 09:33

Ewwww yrotb, not exactly conducive to a good night's sleep?

In my second and third years at university, we lived in a right skank-fest of a house and we had mice. Thankfully I never found one in my room (which was on the ground floor) but I remember one scuttling out from behind the sofa cushion and another falling out of the curtains when I went to draw them. In the end, we had to resort to poison to get rid of them, but did take the dead meeces to the local cemetary to ease our murderous consciences. Grin

I also forgot to mention before that I think we have a birthday girl here today....

randomimposter · 06/08/2010 09:44

mouse stories? MOUSE STORIES? You want to have 5 cats.... live, dead, half alive, nibbled, crawled into your fave Timberland boots for safety and then presumably overcome by the strange aroma Blush and shuffling off this mortal coil to fester and decompose only to be discovered by a foot (fortunately socked) pushing into/onto it.... don't get me STARTED on mouse stories... and we've had a rat (fortunately dead that one)... I came downstairs and thought blimey Maisie did well last night, that's a big mouse....

ta for painauchoc Viv,have a top weekend. Derby you say...? Mmm, need to think about that...Shock

Hippy Happy Birfday Cheeepppppppppppppppzy x

PrettyVacant1 · 06/08/2010 10:10

Morning from DIY bed Towers. Grin

Viv PMSL. Oh the things we do.
You best keep at it as I've not got a fangled shouty machine to tell me when to bonkwithintent so I'm relying on you missus. Grin
Interesting you say early though, as I too have got a sign or two to say pant snot EWCM is imminent.
Hmmmm.

When you say "disposed" WhatBabe? you mean that DH got dressed in the middle of the night took StuartLittle gently in a box and drove out to the countryside seeking out an established mouse community and spent the night with them to make sure Stuart settled in nicely.
No?
Ahhh right
Ewwwwww..... Did that not make a mess on your curtains?

Grin

Loopsy good luck with that!
The only camping experience I've had with possible norty bidness involved was Glastonbury.
Daily washes by baby wipes didn't quite cut it so we
refrained.

Make sure you're comfy and you have a spare roll mat to stick under your bum! WinkGrin

Mr.G will be joining me again tomorrow after his few
days off at work Grin
Ooooo the list I have!
He ripped the fireplace out and was so proud he took a
pic entitled "Mandeeds" and stuck it on FB
Bless.
I'll be having him balancing on a plank papering the landing so if he survives there may be an update on the
Mandeeds soon.

Watch this space!

Back to ttc news as not all of this thread is about my house don't cha know. Grin
Sheffield have not sent me my weekly prezzie.
I think the little messages I keep writing on the back ( they do ask!!) that I've been clear for 5 months and I'm
activly TTC have been noted.
No more peeing in tubes! Yay!

Well I should go and shake a leg or a brush or something.

Back later for a skive xx
Toodles.

dorcas111 · 06/08/2010 10:10

Thanks so much for your lovely messages, I slept much better last night and am looking forward to a few days of being legitimately lazy...
yrmothb and jollster I feel your pain... I have two cats and they aren't the biggest hunters in the world but they bring their fair share of mice and birds in. I have witnessed one of them snacking on an entire bird before- beak and all. ( I did try and stop her but the little wretch was surprisingly good at eating and running at the same time. Was secretly impressed).
pretty good luck with the rest of the decorating, I love painting rooms and have a bathroom to paint but will have to let the bloke do that- he will padlock me to the armchair if I so much as look at a paintbrush and after this week's scare I don't think I will be doing much for a while.
digital enjoy your hen weekend, viv that sounds like a grand weekend ahead of you, enjoy it, batteryhen have a great time too, you seem well prepared!
jollster I thought at first I would try and get an early scan, but it was obvious I would have to battle for it and I decided that would be more stressful and I figured that either it was going to stick or it wasn't but even if I had an early scan it wouldn't make me relaxed until the 12 week scan anyway, as the first time I had a scan, (at six weeks but with bleeding) bean was in place, two days later I lost it. I would probably have felt differently if I had gone through a MMC though, so I suppose it depends. I can't say I was relaxed but I'm not sure an early scan would have taken the stress away anyway. Sorry, waffling on now, probably not saying anything helpful.
moofold, hope you are feeling alright and being well looked after.
cheepz- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
Hello everyone else, sorry for not namechecking you all, have a great weekend x x

HAPPY BIRFDAY CHEEEPY!!!

Moofold · 06/08/2010 12:18

Happy birthday Cheepzy!! All the best abroad Battery and Loopy in a tent!! Digi hope you get your positive soon.

Barren are you going to wait then? Can't see a recent list to check if you are active in the SWI stakes or WTTC. Isn't bizarre how you get so much conflicting advice and instructions. At the hospital they gave me 2 leafelts, one on dealing with MC and another on ERPC. The MC one said you NEED to wait 2-3 cycles before trying again. The ERPC one says there is no evidence to suggest you need to wait but if you wait til you have one RTD it helps with dates. Handed to me at the same time from the same hospital??
