I've been worrying about this and am about to get some emergency contraception sorted out, but have just been thinking, surely fertility isn't what it used to be at this age anyway?

I have read somewhere that it is only a 10% chance of getting pregnant in any given cycle, so really if you are using withdrawal and already past ovulation the risk isn't going to be huge is it.

I'd appreciate opinions or experiences.

I was told that the termination rate is higher for women in their 40s than for women in their twenties.

Dunno if it's true.

Maybe there a lot of people like me who think "Oh well I've always been OK using this useless slightly unreliable method of contraception before. I know what they say but it's always worked for me. And I'm not all that fertile anyway . . . D'OH! "
