The May Bus

I'm feeling positive about this next cycle. Due rtd tomorrow.

If it's as long as the one I'm just finishing I'll be due sometime in early May so thought I'd do the honours and polish down the bus, stack it full of champagne and nibbles and start the engine!

Who's with me?

Hi girls, can I join?

Been booted off the April bus with the very unwelcome arrival of AF this morning. Nice to see some familar faces here from the April bus (iykwim).

ravenlocks TTC#1 Cycle 4 UCL 29 CD1

zinnia · 04/08/2010 20:49

Welcome ravenlocks, nice to see you too (usual caveats apply).

Thanks for the tips Wombat, the expense is the main thing putting me off the OPKs, that and the poas obsession, which has not served me well in recent months.

Might try the temping (assuming I remember in the morning) and see how I go. After all, the chemist is always there if necessary...

lateatwork · 04/08/2010 21:06

hi everyone! i am so seriously dippy this month that i had forgotten what day i was. doh. had to look at this post to work it out. its my new tactic. last month 4 thermometers and a charting fiend. this month nothing. see if that works. pretend i dont want to get pregnant and then wham. kinda reverse psychology.

kiwidreamer i am up for jaffas!
fhg a competition... like with money and everything?! hmmm wont mention that to mine... he would want to steal that idea!

oh and OPK? blah hate them. used them this time last year. no smiley face but ended up pregnant anyway.. not sure how that worked. need something simple me..

Hmm, begining to think my prediction of not catching first try and so missing the April bus may have been a bit wrong. My 2WW is now in it's 3rd week with no sign of a BFP or AF. So will therefore jump off this bus until I know for sure.

NoMoreChocBiscuits presses the bell to stop the bus and gives up her seat for someone else.

Good luck to all.

omnomnomtom · 04/08/2010 21:23

Loopymumsy I'm on day 9 of AF bleurgh so am with you on wanting AF to GO NOW!
Wondering if this will mean I ovulate later?

Oooo NoMoreChocBiscuits - fingers crossed for you

ravenlocks · 04/08/2010 21:38

Just ordered a basal thermometer on eBay, am going to give temp charting a go this month and see how I get on with that, combined with OPK and no drinking. Full of intentions on CD1 me. Let Operation Up Duff begin!

omnomnomtom · 04/08/2010 23:01

at operation up duff!

rosieposey · 05/08/2010 09:34

Morning all.

Just checking in as this is a very boring stage of my cycle.

I just started temping a couple of days ago and its all over the place, will see how it goes for the rest of the cycle.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and good luck

Hi everyone,

Can I rejoin??? Think I'd still be ok for May?

cherrytomatobomb TTC#1 Cycle 20, UCL 27, CD1

So fed up today. I really thought this time..... its devastating me now. Cant wait to see the specialist in 6 weeks.

zinnia · 05/08/2010 12:58

Hi cherry, welcome aboard. Lots of sympathy here, hope that specialist appt becomes unecessary.

You should be fine for May, the MN due date calculator gives me May 6th if I get lucky this cycle and I'm only on day 7. We'll have plenty more on this bus yet...

sloathy · 05/08/2010 20:23

Hello ladies, just checking in. Day 17 - so should be ov-ing around now still no positive on the ov sticks thought and not sure I'm taking my temperature properly as it seems very up and down. Maybe the 3 or margaritas I had last night has something to do with this mornings odd reading...

digitalgirl · 05/08/2010 22:20

snap sloathy day 17, rocky temps and no positive opk. also drank last night. was at works do and was force fed 4 vodka jellies. Plus about 3 pints of pimms.

Am still hoping for an early ov (well early in my books), but if it happens next week then so be it.

Am actually a little surprised I'm on CD17 already.

Tamashii ttc#2 cycle 6 UCL 33 CD1

Just want to sit quietly at the back of the bus for a while until I feel a bit more chirpy and broody again.

Looking forwards to a bus FULL of BFP's :)

Have a fab weekend everyone

Hi Tamashii nice/sorry to see you here.

Thanks for the booze info Loopy, that's valuable (if disappointing) info. I caved in and bought some OPKs yesterday, am determined to give it my best shot this month. Nice tip re getting up in the night though, I'll try and remember that one next time the 3.00am call comes!

Enjoy the camping, hope you manage to come to an accord with your DH...

Morning all.

I'm confused Confused OPKs again - I've had a smiley face for three days in a row now - what does that mean?? I though it was mean to spike and then drop again. I'm not sure I can keep up this rate of SWI for much longer!

'Ello all - I'll just sneak in here and add myself on the bottom...blimey this is a massive list.

Anyone want to join me on the back seat? I've got mojitos, gin, sushi, all manner of soft cheeses and a full selection of deli snacks Grin

Awww Hi saffron I've just disembarked from the April bus too and was sitting quietly at the back of the May bus until I noticed you swilling around the Mojito's!!! Can I join you? We can get p!ssed on Mojito's and sing roudily from the back of the bus :)

Eskarina · 06/08/2010 12:23

Sigh. DH is having second thoughts on me. Is it normal? I'm coming up to The Window (as far as I can work out, as cycle seems to get two days longer every month) and suddenly he's gone all nervous and saying "maybe a couple more months". Gnuh Confused

ravenlocks · 06/08/2010 18:02

cherry can only imagine how you are feeling after all those cycles, join in the drinking at the back of the bus. Saffron and Tamashii pass us a cocktail whilst we all enjoy this brief respite from the 'am I pregnant?', 'am I ovulating?', 'should I be SWI'ing?', 'should I eat that?', 'should I drink that?' mania!

Eskarina good grief, do our men realise how much these little throw away phases can mess with our heads?? I'm lucky DH is as keen as me on this I guess. He is even getting into MN lingo that I taught him - the other day he said 'how are you feeling about the 2WW?' Bless him!

digitalgirl · 06/08/2010 18:47

wombat that's odd. I usually get 2 days of smiley faces...but 3 is a bit much I think. Are your cycles regular? Elevated LH levels may indicate PCOS? But sometimes, it can mean your already pregnant - is this likely?

Well, day 18 and still no pos opk for me. Have run out of digis so am on internet cheapies, which I don't really like. Am off on a hen weekend tomorrow, so am now hoping that I don't get a positive opk till Sunday afternoon when I'm back.

Enjoy your weekends ladies.

sloathy · 06/08/2010 19:06

Finally got a positive OPK this morning which I think means I will ovulate in the next 12-24 hours? Is that right?

Also, I've been meaning to ask whether anyone else gets really nauseous around the time of ovulation. Last month I felt really sick from CD 17 on and was convinced I was pg and getting really early symptoms (not knowing at that point that I ovulate later than the 14 day average) and now again today I am feeling really icky. Perhaps my body doesn't like the combination of hormones that swirls around from ovulation onwards?
