I emailed MN with a query relating to competitions on the 10th Nov and haven't had a reply, so am re-posting it here..
On the 10th Nov I received an email from Efteling saying
"Welcome [first name] [last name]
Thank you for subscribing through Mumsnet September competition! From now on you will receive news from Efteling by E-mail. In order to provide the best service possiblem, we would like to ask you to create an account and check your details"

Now I never tick boxes when I enter competitions so was surprised to receive this but what was most surprising that it was addressed to someone else (ie. [first name][last name] isn't actually my name).

Please could someone check what happened. I'm still receiving junk emails from Efteling and am a little hesitant about clicking 'unsubscribe' on the off-chance it is some nasty sort of spam.

The person named in the email may have signed up for emails from them and it is rather worrying in these days when there is such scrutiny of Data Protection issues that my email address has (presumably) been used with her name.

I hope all this makes sense and would appreciate a reply.
