Welcome to our new shiny thread for February. The lattes and expressos were not quite hitting the mark so we have moved to the pub. Whether you need Diet Coke or stiff drink help yourself we have a tab going and hunky staff are very attentive.

Going to discuss with DD tomorrow. I bought a scooter last year but because of my stoma operation can no longer lift it in and out of the car. (In fact can’t even get to the car at the moment, ten steps down steps or a small slope). I would need a lightweight electric chair but am worrying about the scooter going to waste! I know it’s all silly but I’m autistic and it messes with my head having come from a very controlling marriage where he could spend a thousand pounds on his hobby and my clothes came from charity shops. There’s a thought of I don’t deserve this, I shouldn’t waste the scooter (no good indoors) and round and round! Sorry!

I am still battling this cold. Without a immune system it is so hard.
I managed 3 hours rest in the last 24 hours. Which is better than the previous 24 hours.

Which gives me hope that I am on the mend, abet slowly.

Hope everyone else is having a reasonable day.

@Gilead I understand that completely. I'm autistic too and was never allowed nice things. Now that I am I love it.
Could you sell the scooter? That way it's not going to waste and you've a bit of money too

@Worrysaboutalot hope you feel better soon. Not sleeping is hell. I've had a rough night with DD. She's not well at all. Which means mummy gets to be up all night with her. She's currently fast asleep on the sofa, but has been up most of the night in pain and crying.

@HerRoyalHappiness Your poor little mite, she does look pale! Hope she feels better and you catch a nap at some point today.

My (no immunity to fight this) cold is continuing on, however I no longer feel like I am going to stop breathing and I managed 5 hours of partial rest last night. Best night since Thursday. I gave up on sleep and wedged myself upright on the sofa. I think I will do the same tonight, it means the coughing sessions are slightly easier on my chest. Another few days and I reckon I feel start to feel better. This is totally ridiculous for a cold but I guess workout a working immunity I am going to keep having issues like this.

I already use hand gel, still wear masks and avoid crowds. What else can I do?

She has norovirus, tonsillitis and the rash is her eczema getting worse as that's how it starts. It's getting worse because she's so run down..the spots in her mouth are tonsillitis, and she's been given a week of antibiotics as her eczema is getting infected it's so bad.

At least now we have medication and she can hopefully start getting better now we know what it is. Just fluids fir the next couple of days unless she wants to eat.

My son went to sleep at 11pm then woke very upset 12-4am. I'm feeling pretty jiggered today but I've got tons to do 😢 just managed a 5 min meditation on the curable app but he's just having a doze now, I might lie next to him for a few mins.

I'm trialling two days where I don't use the word "pain" as my "sensation" is very bad at the moment and I'm miserable. Waiting for results of my third MRI

Well, it’s my birthday today and it was a great start to the day, as I had one of the most painful flare ups I’ve had. I literally couldn’t get out of bed at all. Just dosed up on painkillers at the moment 😣

i feel so ill. i have a chest, throat and double ear infection (negative for covid) so im on anti bitoics and steroids but i havent felt this ill with an infection in ages 😭

Happy belated birthday @ICrunchCrispsNotNumbers sorry you were in so much pain, I hope its eased a bit now.

DD has stopped vomiting now and her tonsils have come down but her skin is still an absolute mess. Luckily she has an appointment with dermatology on the 6th so hopefully they can help.

I had another mri last week, I think I'm going to be told they can't see anything. It's been 3.5 years nearly 4 of chronic daily pain - they think I'm trapped in a pain loop. It's so hard to come to terms with the idea this is a broken circuit in my body. I know I should be happy it's not anatomical but at least if that were the case there might be a "fix"

I'm aching today. Every step sends shooting pains across my hips and pelvis. I just want to cry. But I guess this is what I have a wheelchair for. Days like today.

I did hypnosis and hot yoga yesterday. I'm so sore today, going to try and do a bit more on the cureable app. Im working my way through the exercises. I am on day 3 of no coedine so trying to keep off it. To be honest I'm not even sure if it helps anymore

I am in agony. Pain like knives in my hips at a level i havent experienced before. Even after codeine it's awful and I can't get out of bed.
No-one can do anything about it, I know but I just wanted to moan for a bit.
