jesus royal i hope they dont coem back the horrible person they are! must have been scary being int he house after that :(

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 00:29

I'm ok. I doubt I'll get much sleep as it's just me and 3 kids in the house, and my mum is a taxi drive away.
So I'll be staying up and keeping an eye out and an ear open.

Akire · 14/01/2022 00:33

Do try and get some sleep, I’m sure the slightest thing will wake you anyway. Most likely some drunk stupid person doing it “for a laugh” it be stupid way try break in making hell or a racket et the front door! Can you leave TV lights on so looks like some one is awake?
In lot pain here so I shall be remotely keeping you company Brew

Hope everyone is ok this morning and managed to get some sleep. I had my recurring dream of the car running away with me and I'm too far away from the pedals. Eventually, I come off the road. I think the dream signals not feeling in control of things in real life. No shit, Sherlock

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 10:40

I managed a couple of hours sleep.
I'm very achy this morning but I'm up, I'm dressed (big deal for me I usually stay in my PJs)
I've prepped tonight's tea and it's simmering away in the slow cooker (beef stew, I'll serve it with mash which I'll make later)
And I've got the washing in. DS1 changed the sheets on my bed for me last night so I've got all those to wash today.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 14/01/2022 11:02

Beef stew sounds lush Royal You've made me fancy something similar. Hope you manage to relax a bit today after last night. I've put a Ring camera up recently to deter little cunts as we've had a bit of bother locally recently

You are winning at Friday! Managed pop out in sun but it’s cold. One meds is out stock and don’t know when it be back. Boots had told Gp this 4 days ago so had email and try chase up a replacement. We see if either of us get anywhere.

Feeling really shaky now like had 3 expresso or something. Goodness knows why, no heart palpitations just feel odd. Body is endless source of discombobulation!

My door has just been kicked again. This time there's a lovely footprint under the handle. The polices suggestion... get a doorbell camera. I've I just have money to throw at the problem. I've told them there's cctv on the estate but they aren't interested. Basically I have to catch the culprit myself before they'll do anything.

Akire · 14/01/2022 18:06

That’s awful, no other action? No keep a diary? A doorbell might help but not if have hood up and mask or scarf. I might be tempted to least get a cctv sign or sticker for door or window might put them off in mean time.

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 18:27

I've been googling and it looks like a tik tok trend. A bloody stupid one.
My brother has bought me a ring doorbell and will come and fit it once it arrives. Hopefully it comes soon

Akire · 14/01/2022 18:31

So it is most likely like kids then? Glad you are going to be sorted and not more menacing than “a trend” however horrible it makes it feel. Sadly Disabled people can get lot abuse especially if live in “target” homes and the like. Flowers

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 18:33

yeah, apparently they're targeting vulnerable and elderly people
I'm hoping they'll get bored and stop.

Akire · 14/01/2022 18:52

That’s awful! Kicking them open as well. Hopefully with camera you have chance to do them for damage. Any neighbours getting it?

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 19:08

Not as far as I know. I'm guessing they're targeting me because everyone knows I'm disabled.

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 21:52

It happened again but this time DS1 was in the living room and managed to get to the door to see the lad running off down the path. So police have now been updated with a description.

Akire · 14/01/2022 21:55

Sorry you are going through this, glad son was there. Hopefully that frighten them off slightly. Are they filming each other doing this is that the point?

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 22:02

He only saw one person but he could have been filming himself, he had his phone in his hand as he ran away.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 14/01/2022 22:45

God @HerRoyalHappiness how low can people sink?? That is the lowest of the low.

I'm so glad your brother has sorted the ring doorbell for you.

Just another piece of advise - get a sticker from eBay for your door that says "cctv in operation". We have a few cameras outside and have the signs up and I think sometimes just the signs will make potential criminals think twice.

Sending hugs x

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 22:48

Thanks. I will get stickers.
DD is terrified. She burst into tears after the second one scared someone was going to break in so of their goal is to scare people, well done them
they've scared an 8 year old little girl. She's still not settled in bed, she's worried something will happen overnight

SpookyScarySkeletons · 14/01/2022 22:58

The poor love @HerRoyalHappiness. I hope the little shits are proud of themselves!!

Can you pop her in with you tonight? I used to have to do that with littlest DD when DH was working nights after someone tried to break in to ours. Never felt anger like it when I found the destroyed outdoor door handle in the morning so I know how you are feeling.

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/01/2022 23:16

Yeah, she's in bed with me now. I've tried to reassure her it's not anyone trying to hurt her, it's just naughty teenagers who think it's funny to kick doors.

Akire · 14/01/2022 23:35

Poor thing no wonder though she’s scared though.

Was having alcohol free week but then pelvic pain been awful and new sort. Been on my knees like I’m giving birth. So mixing codeine and the Rum try take edge off. Think it’s because period due and the knife pain is out that “is nothing” Confused think going be long night.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 15/01/2022 08:35

Crikey, hugs all round everyone. And hope you all manage to have a peaceful and as pain free weekend as possible.

@HerRoyalHappiness you get stickers in the box with the Ring camera. I'm in a bungalow, so stickers on my first window (my bedroom) next to front door. I also have an outside light that I keep on at night. And I keep hallway light on all night too. Reassures me and DD somewhat after some shitty goings on over the years. Hope you all managed to sleep.

Akire · 15/01/2022 09:18

How was the night? I did manage sleep and taken pain killers first thing normally try manage till lunch but not today! So foggy here think air pollution is bad. No plans for today though May look up future crochet blanket project for this year my sister hasn’t have a blanket yet and everyone else in family does. It’s like 150 hours work so will be year long project.

Been trying plan creative things so did some colouring with book had for Xmas though more country homes and cats than sweary book. But did find positive disabled colouring book zesty May treat self too. Think important even adults to occasional see different and positive body role models. Will try find it post link next.
