That is good news not to far it’s nearly February. They do seem to be leaving appointments till last minute I’m sure this works better. Years ago you get them like 6months in advance not sure how many they lose by you forgetting that was before the txt you week before services.

Excellent news!!

I've been asked to book a GP appointment for pain relief review. They can't fit me in until March though. Crazy.

Akire · 27/01/2022 21:33

Pain relief “review” as in we care that we are managing your pain or “review” sim
Is take Off as many drugs as possible regardless Of pain levels?

OnwardsEverStridingOnwards · 31/01/2022 05:23

Hi everyone,

Hope you don't mind me dropping in. I've had a restless nights sleep and I'm struggling a bit.

Some of you may remember me as I posted a thread some time ago.

I'm a twenty eight year old woman awaiting a possible fibromyalgia diagnosis.

For the last few months, I've just felt like I'm drowning slowly. I'm just in constant pain every day and all I seem to do is sleep or be in pain. My mental health is suffering because I just feel so low. I'm Currently on Amitriptyline and sertraline, which has helped a little.

I'm engaging with my doctors (GP surgery) but the doctor who's took over my case there has been very vague. I've been ringing up begging for answers, but it's all 'well, we can't tell you.' I'm just getting so frustrated, and I don't know whether I'm coming or going.

Thank you so much for reading. I'm so glad I found this thread ❤️

HerRoyalHappiness · 31/01/2022 07:25

@OnwardsEverStridingOnwards rant away, it's utterly shit how we are treated by doctors and nit told things. I'd insist in seeing your medical records to find out what's what

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 31/01/2022 07:45

Welcome @OnwardsEverStridingOnwards

I sympathise as I have had another restless night too. Just sat in my dressing gown waiting on painkillers to work enough for me to start work.

Thank you @TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo and @HerRoyalHappiness. 😘😘 I'm seeing another GP tomorrow who apparently knows about neurology. 🤞🏻 I get some answers.

@TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo hope you feel better soon ❤️

@wildthingsinthenight 👋

I understand how you feel. GP's are shit at the moment. Some of them just don't seem bothered 😕😘😘

Hi again @OnwardsEverStridingOnwards it’s so hard isn’t it. On Tv doctors love a mystery and not stop till they find out what. Back in real world of can’t diagnoses you first off you may eventually get referred for some test but when it’s all vague nobody wants pick up Baton for you. Doesn’t help If you see different GP each time. Mine has revolving doors locums.

@Akire I remember you 🙂 how's things going?

Yes that's very true 😂 the original doctor dealing with my case has just been putting me on a bit of a merry go round- doing about six blood tests and going 'well, it's not that.' I'm just like 'well, what is it then?!'

It's a bloody minefield 😟
