@Akire

Oh well done you. What colour? Does it have posh seat?
It's black, but I'm planning to decorate it when I have the energy. Has a webbing kind of seat, because I wanted one that was substantial but folds up for going on the bus etc. - I don't weigh very much and am losing weight atm anyway (not on purpose lol) so I didn't need a super sturdy seat, but I did want plenty of support to walk with. Am totally in love, I smile every time I look at it!

I’m so glad for you. I’m not sure if Cope with decorations on my chair. I can’t wear coloured socks within feeling all
Icky! you have to see how much shopping you can balance on it. I struggle with my chair as only manage one bag as other wise can’t do doors or lifts.

I love bright colours and sparkly things so I'm excited to have a chance to personalise it! It has a small shopping bag attached so you can get a bit in, and I can wear a rucksack at the same time I think I'm coming down with a cold - fingers crossed it's not covid, I've been doing lfds daily. Really could have done without anything else making me feel rubbish atm though.
Akire · 18/12/2021 18:59

Oh no fingers crossed it is a cold so much about at the moment. We have enough cope with all year we deserve a few days off for Xmas!

@bicyclesaredeathtraps I have a rollator too. Its fab as I can't walk very far without needing to rest so being able to sit down is a god send.

DD had an awesome day yesterday and was very impressed with her cake. She gave each of her little friends a flower off it.

Chronic pain Cafe - support thread #3 All Welcome
RainbowZebraWarrior · 19/12/2021 12:00

That cake is awesome!!

I also feel like I'm coming down with something. DD had a faint positive on a LFT last night so we have both been for PCRs this morning. Sitting in the car in an underground car park trying to figure out what I was doing in the dark was mighty stressful!

Fingers crossed everyone stays safe and healthy over Christmas. Hope you are finally on the mend @Akire

We have proper snow forecast here for Christmas day! In a way, I really don't mind if we have to isolate. Just stay in the warm and hopefully look out at the pretty snow.

Akire · 19/12/2021 12:04

Oh no @RainbowZebraWarrior hope it’s negative. Have you got everything in that you need for next week and Xmas.

Snow is lovely long as you stay in!

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 19/12/2021 12:12

I agree about snow being lovely... to look at. Not so nice to be out in!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 19/12/2021 13:28

Yeah pretty much all sorted. Sainsbury's slot is booked for Wednesday. I'm just contemplating buying a digital camera from Amazon for DD then I'm done. I'm a prepper, so pantry is full.

I feel really weird. Sort of groggy and headache. And as if all my usual symptoms are amplified. I have this weird internal tremor / adrenaline surges. They are always worse when I'm not well.

bicyclesaredeathtraps · 19/12/2021 13:37

That cake is amazing!
Positive LFT today ughhhh
I was finally supposed to be having someone visit over Christmas and was looking forward to being looked after a bit Sad
I have a sore throat and a bit of a tight chest but apart from that nothing out of the ordinary

RainbowZebraWarrior · 19/12/2021 15:06

Oh crap @bicyclesaredeathtraps what awful luck. We've been dropping like flies on here the past couple of weeks. Gentle hugs

doadeer · 20/12/2021 17:22

Well I'm day 3 of medical cannabis. It's different to cbd as it has TBC in (the bit that gets you high) I'm not feeling very buzzy yet but I do think it's helping me come off coedine again as I haven't had crazy response this time.

Apparently been great results with fibromialgia patients and I present very similarly to this.

HerRoyalHappiness · 20/12/2021 17:53

@doadeer fingers crossed for you.

Sounds promising keep us posted!

How is everyone else today?

doadeer · 20/12/2021 18:26

Just realised that autocorrected to TBC lol meant to say THC.

Yes I'm praying. I wouldnt wish chronic pain and fatigue on anyone. Even someone I don't like. It's just shite 😢

Akire · 20/12/2021 18:32

@bicyclesaredeathtraps how’s covid going?

OP posts:
bicyclesaredeathtraps · 20/12/2021 19:16

Covid is not great, sore throat, head and chest. I don't know how the chest pain can somehow radiate throughout the rib cage, but it does. My breathing is mostly okay, just occasionally I struggle a bit. Bit of a temperature but I can keep it down with paracetamol. The worst thing is that it's exacerbating all my usual pain etc.
Those that have had it, when's the worst bit usually?

Akire · 20/12/2021 19:29

I didn’t feel ill with mine (maybe I feel rubbish all time so no different) I had sore throat day 1-2 snotty nose sneezing and cough days 3-5 then temp at night started and dropping of sats day 5-8. day 9 got anti bio from GP as coughing so much kept being sick. Which really helped. Then days 10-15 slowly able
To do things like shower.

Most people seem hard it milder as it can potter around house and just rest more. But I spend most day in bed already and do little so hard to compare.

Akire · 20/12/2021 19:31

I had rubbish chest yesterday coughing sounded bad but no other signs infection, then today totally fine. Seems to bounce like this between being v irrated and sounding dreadful.

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 20/12/2021 19:53

I've had it twice.
I'm March I was really bad. Could barely breathe, felt like I'd been kicked in the chest by a horse, I was tired all the time to the point I was falling asleep if I sat down but I couldn't do anything because I ached so much.
In October I felt headachey and rough but not as bad. The worst thing for me was the loss of smell and taste. I hated it.

Akire · 21/12/2021 01:02

Still awake , body clock still out of whack. Bit worried about traveling for Xmas as I’m in London and don’t want infect anyone! Still waiting for more LTF as like gold dust. Hoping postman will bring, feel happier doing negative one before I go as then if I have a positive one I know it’s knew infection not the old one.

My meds bag is even more bigger than usual because of extra covid cold meds for every eventuality. Hope everyone gets good night sleep tonight.

SpindleWhirling · 21/12/2021 06:00

I slept from 10pm till 2.30am, and that was with amitriptyline!

In the old days I’d at least be able to walk up to Asda for some very early shopping but my joints are buggered now and I’ve lost confidence after a few falls last year.

I’ve got crutches though … I wonder how far I’d get!

Akire · 21/12/2021 10:57

Would that be normal
Shop or Xmas early shop? Crutches are bugger for carrying shopping though Grin

my back is killing. i dont know what ive doen to it but its so so sore :(

Akire · 21/12/2021 13:54

Keep having zappy nerve pain right in my heel. The oh crap I’ve stood really hard on overturned plug sort pain. Really intense for 60sec then goes. But had about 20 times in night and today, never happens this much! Can’t even really zap with tens as time you got it stuck on pain is gone. I’m hovering it stern glares in hope it sorts itself out. It’s not even like I put weight on my feet it has no reason to complain!

Sorry about your back, I also woke up with standard Xmas I slept funny on my neck:shoulders so carrying interesting deep head aroma.
