@bicyclesaredeathtraps

Like a fool yesterday I went about running errands (including the GP though so that was useful) and wore myself out, then blacked out two hours into work this morning. Most of my colleagues are twice my age though (I'm early 20s and look younger) so I was taken home and put to bed in a rather motherly fashion by one of them Blush . So I've been resting in bed since then. Having trouble swallowing as well which is annoying. I have blood and urine tests tomorrow, yippee.

Hope everyone waiting on pain relief and prescriptions gets it sooner rather than later. All the admin really does take up way too much time, and unhelpful doctors just prolong the process, as if we didn't already have enough to do

I’m glad they made sure you got Home again. Hope tests show something that they can sort. Agree about all extra admin time it’s no fun.

Can’t sleep yet can’t get comfortable I think it’s going be a long night.

Hope everyone’s battles are going ok today. Was up half night due to stupid teen neighbour who claimed locked himself out kept buzzing me. There’s 10 flat on this
Landing but he didn’t want wake up
His family! It was 2am and I couldn’t get back sleep till gone 5. I was not a happy bunny. No doubt been put up to no good and trying sneak in. He owes me favour big time. So feel wrecked and legs in spasm as they do when don’t sleep well. Sigh good
Job todays plan was just laying in bed!

Oh, that is absolutely infuriating how inconsiderate of him

Akire · 16/12/2021 13:14

I know I did hang up initial as I get loads of the “I’m your neighbour let me in” calls. well no I’ve no idea who you are I’m not letting you in. But he kept ringing and ringing. I will be explaining the consequences when I see him next. But he’s had quiet few run in with police and there is a line as vulnerable adult where you want to keep the local teen gang on side so to speak. It’s fine line!

Akire · 16/12/2021 19:22

How is everyone? I managed to doslocate my ankle today and I'm in a lot of pain with it even though its back in.

Akire · 17/12/2021 09:27

Hi @HerRoyalHappiness ouch not best way start the day. I slept better upright and breathing seems improved so we shall take that as a win. Well done for everyone making it to another Friday. Most December been blurry so far so 17th December seems come up and smacked me in the face!

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 17/12/2021 12:15

@Akire I'm glad you slept a bit better.

I've got a busy few days ahead of me. I have my DBros birthday today, DDs birthday tomorrow, Christmas eve, Christmas day... its all come around too fast!

Akire · 17/12/2021 12:57

I think I’ve finally wrapped last of the presents. Family always end up asking me to get XYZ from them, but they all do it so it ends up doubling stuff I have take when go away for Xmas. Not mention keeping tallies of who owes me what!

OP posts:
Evenstar · 17/12/2021 12:59

@Akire that seems to happen to me every year, you think you’ve got ages and suddenly you haven’t. I have overdone it this week and I am going have to do less over the weekend and recover a bit, think I hit the wall, as I went back to sleep this morning after I had fed the dogs.

Akire · 17/12/2021 13:07

Glad you were able get some more sleep sometime have give in instead of fighting it and being a zombie. Managed book my booster shot for start jab since had cancel due covid so happy about that. Gives me 5 days before a big hospital apt so some protection at least. I know takes 7 days at least but hopefully feel less unprotected.

Akire · 17/12/2021 21:13

Hope when it’s quiet here everyone is managing their best days and far to busy having fun!

Feeling bit stressed about catching covid before Xmas. Not much can do about it but still.

I'm prepping DDs party. I've done pass the parcel, sorted her presents, taken the helium balloons out of the box, had her cake delivered, prepped party bags, hung banners and pin the horn on the unicorn, moved the furniture around to make space. I'm shattered now.

Akire · 17/12/2021 21:27

Aw how old? Sounds like you are all set!

Akire · 18/12/2021 15:41

Hope everyone is doing ok. I had pop out last minute chocolate gifts then managed smack bag on handles getting out of the lift. So one smashed Santa! So need go get another one some point!

Find lots shops hardly have any stock wilko had no quality street or hero’s or anything like that. Hope everyone manages get what they need.

OP posts:
Evenstar · 18/12/2021 16:56

Still no decorations up, but managed to wrap half the presents today and clean the rabbits out, plus walk the dogs. I had to go up to bed early
last night as I was so tired. I think that will have to do for today.

Sorry to hear about the smashed Santa! I dropped a mug on the way home one year when I had just finished the Christmas shopping so annoying!

Akire · 18/12/2021 17:01

I’m feeling worried about Omicirn being in London. I mean can’t do bugger all about it but would feel better out of it for Xmas. Normally I’d be with family weeks ago. Delivery drivers no masks even though going into blocks of flats and tiny lifts and long narrow sealed hallways. They must be super spreaders with amount of people they met in a day. Don’t know why companies can’t say if you deliver to a doorstep outside no mask if you enter a building then it’s inside then flipping mask.

I still have packing to do to go away so maybe next few days
