Thanks everyone. We got home at 5.45. He'd had an asthma attack because of the covid making it hard to breathe. He's fine now, still sleeping.

Akire · 30/10/2021 12:04

Ah glad you are home and it wasn't anything more serious.

Littlest's PCR came back as positive this morning. She's absolutely full of beans though and busy pumpkin carving. She has had 3 days of headache and tiredness and that's it!

HerRoyalWitchyness · 30/10/2021 12:14

@cricketmum84 I'm glad she's feeling OK.

DS is awake and groggy.

sweetkitty · 30/10/2021 17:27

@cricketmum84 glad your DD is ok

@HerRoyalWitchyness so glad about your DS what a shock for you hope he’s home soon

I’ve had a tough few days work is hectic just now and I’ve pushed myself too much, last night I slept from 4pm and only got up for dinner. My whole body ached. Today I’ve had a 2 hour nap as well. Everyone else is happy for the weekend but to mean it just means running about trying to get stuff done, tomorrow I’m going to have to work all day too. My Saturday night will be spent ironing as it’s the only time I get to do it. My life is work and sleep

Akire · 30/10/2021 19:01

Sounds like you are flat out @sweetkitty it’s hard when work takes everything. I remember it well.

My asthma been really bad today partly my fault as not done preventers for ages but had such nasty side effects. Would have heart palpitations for 4-5h a day horrible going bed feeling like you going have heart attack in your sleep. Tried 3 different types now, can’t win. Not sure nurse will be much help and probable just get a telling off. Halftime
You tell them side effects and they just dismiss them.

How are we all holding up today? Feeling quite restless today. Some times feel like constantly waiting for life to start. Maybe just because this as never how I imagined it to be!

Had all the PCRs back and the entire family has covid. Sad
Luckily it doesn't seem to be hitting hard so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Oh crap @HerRoyalWitchyness I'm sorry :(

The PCRs for us are due today. It will be a miracle if we have all escaped it as littles is a very loving and tactile girl and we have had many hugs and kisses before she tested positive!!

Hope you all come through it quickly x

Akire · 31/10/2021 15:35

Oh no that is bad luck but suppose in one way it’s over and done with hopefully.

cricketmum84 · 01/11/2021 11:24

Oops forgot to swap out of my halloween username!!

Yep me too. Have a banging headache and exhausted.

DH has gone to work but I've just told him to grab an LFT from the office and 17yo doing hers now.

Think we may be painting a big Red Cross on the door

HerRoyalWitchyness · 01/11/2021 11:25

Think we may be painting a big Red Cross on the door
I feel like doing that. I put a sign out last night to warn trick or treaters not to knock. I still had 7 lots try and knock! One shouted through my letterbox and another lot came to my living room window!

Akire · 01/11/2021 11:29

Oh no! Sends paint and a bell
That’s all you need. Hope you not going try and work today!

I had actually booked Monday to Thursday as holiday as I've got loads to use up before the end of the year but I was going to start sorting my salary increase spreadsheet out.

I think it's gonna be Christmas films, blankets and hot chocolates instead!

Trying not to stress myself out too much, I've spent 20 months terrified of catching it!!

Akire · 01/11/2021 11:53

Sometimes I feel like Sod it catch it and get it out of the way. No way telling if feel rough but not dying for week or ill for months.

Glad you don’t have worry about work x

cricketmum84 · 01/11/2021 12:27

The only positive right now is that my entire face hurts so much that I'm not even registering the pain in my feet and legs!! 😂😂

Akire · 01/11/2021 18:27

Small mercies! Back been rubbish again tried go out and lift is broke so took me 90min on hold to housing association about. Promised 4h it’s been 5 and no sign. Am wheelchair user so classed as emergency. Bet it broke days ago but no one else here ever reports it. Can’t blame them it takes forever and they can use the stairs!

Just googled why is my asthma worse after meals and there is an explanation… apparently when you have GERD the acid it rates the nerve endings which trigger narrowing hence coughing and out breath. Lovely.

Hope you covid guys are getting some TLC off someone

OP posts:
SpookyScarySkeletons · 01/11/2021 19:07

OMG that bloody lift doesn't half cause you some bother.

DH is positive but literally never feels poorly for anything. He has seen our GP once in 14 years and that was to ask for a vasectomy! He's just made us some bacon and beans on toast. He will look after us over the next few days.

Just praying DD (17) stays negative as she has her GCSE maths resit tomorrow.

cricketmum84 · 01/11/2021 19:08

I am soooooooooo bad at name changes
