@HerRoyalWitchyness Glad your DC is feeling better, prayers. Prayers also for anyone who's ill

sweetkitty · 01/11/2021 22:35

Oh no can’t believe so many of you are unwell with covid now, gentle hugs it isn’t too bad on you all.

I’m still getting negative LFTs despite half our school having it now, I’m also a bit like oh just hurry up and get it now over and done with. I’ve still got the cold and am bunged up maybe the cold germs is keeping it at bay!

I’ve also ran out of dihydrocodeine again (I just get into a better system) for reordering Blush but I only get 14 days at a time. It’s hind of sad as today I really realised how much I need them despite cocodamol 9mg/500mg and ibuprofen I have hurt badly, jaw has been horrific all day so has my back and ribs.

Restful healing sleep everyone Flowers

Akire · 01/11/2021 22:50

Yes good luck eveyone it’s tough when night always feels like extra day shift. I subconsciously dread it all time and I don’t even have get up in the morning.

@Akire.. Do you have gaviscon to take after meals? The advance stuff on prescription (I've had yrs of gerd, had op to fix the stomach), also, they say can't give ranitidine, but there's a substitute called nizatidine, that is available and so are omeprazole/pantoprazole/lanzoprazole. Gp's try and fob you off

Akire · 02/11/2021 08:54

Hi @Daimyum I was on lanzoprazole for years was great but had stomach problems
18m ago no idea what still struggling pain. Not ulcer or gall stones trying control FODMOP. But lanzo and 3 others gave me hot burning stabbing pains around belly button was horrid. Stops as soon as meds stopped. So it’s one or the other, have gaviscon maybe I need take soon as finish food.

How is everyone today?

SpookyScarySkeletons · 02/11/2021 21:49

Not too bad thanks @Akire. Just really tired, headache that hurts when I move my eyes. None of the classic symptoms though. DH temp has been at almost 40 since last night, he seems more poorly than me even though he is fit and healthy and has no underlying conditions.

sweetkitty · 02/11/2021 23:18

Still negative and got some dihydrocodeine today so not too bad

cricketmum84 · 03/11/2021 07:16

Bloody PCR has come back as void. So now I have to traipse out to the test centre to do it again :(

Akire · 03/11/2021 09:36

Oh no can’t you do postal one? Especially as no rush to leave the house?

OP posts:
HerRoyalWitchyness · 03/11/2021 10:03

Oh no @cricketmum84 how infuriating

RainbowZebraWarrior · 03/11/2021 12:58

Just popping on to send gentle hugs to everyone. Covid really is raging now isn't it?We are at over 1000 per 100,000 in my postcode. After one session (of 36) at the hospital gym and session 2 has been cancelled. Hoping everything isn't going to go to pot again now it's winter!

cricketmum84 · 03/11/2021 13:18

Would have taken too long for a postal one @Akire as it's got to be within 2 days of positive LFT. It's not too far away though and DH drove me. Should have some results tomorrow.

I feel awful today and have had to work on one of my annual leave days. Not impressed at all.

Akire · 03/11/2021 13:56

I hope you have rung in sick! You shouldn’t have really use holiday days up when you can’t be making proper use of them.

Has asthma review so new meds try plus gave me codine for my back which very nice and didn’t have beg. Rubbish access in surgery had with with door open and rear of my chair over doorframe as no room. Good job wasn’t for anything personal!

I’m hoping bring forward 3rd jab can’t have mine while yet and want it ideally 2 weeks earlier as Hope go away. Have to see if change protocol. News says not been that huge uptake so not like going be number issues like first time round.

Hope eveyone is warm apparently some places is going snow today.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 03/11/2021 14:05

Nope waaaaay too much to do. I was meant to be on holiday until tomorrow but I woke up at 3.30 and spent 3 hours planning a very very complicated task I need to do as soon as possible! I can't cope with leaving it another day and I won't relax until I've made a good dent in it!

lisaandalan · 03/11/2021 14:24

Fibromyalgia and peri menopausal, only maximum of four hours sleep for the last few weeks, so tired but can't sleep. X

Akire · 03/11/2021 14:39

Hi @lisaandalan that sounds tough hope it breaks soon. Flowers

Morning all, how we doing? How’s all covid patients? Had migraine early hours managed take meds and zap self up to TENS and get back sleep. But be no great guns today.

OP posts:
cricketmum84 · 04/11/2021 11:04

Morning!

Not doing great. Been awake since 1.30am just tossing and turning all night.

The nasty cough has hit with a vengeance. Head hurts to even move my eyes.

Hoping for a nap at some point today!

Migraine in early hours doesn't sound fun either!

HerRoyalWitchyness · 04/11/2021 11:18

I've had a bad night too, I'm just exhausted. Hoping to nap after dinner. The kids are OK. DS1 is much better now, you wouldn't know there was anything wring with him except he gets out of breath easier, but he does jump around like an idiot Grin
DD and DS2 are fine. They're stuffing their face with chocolate and playing their tablets.
I can't smell or taste anything yet but I can tell of its sweet or salty. So im trying to find lots of salty things to eat (sweet doesn't taste as nice)

Akire · 04/11/2021 11:21

Glad things are better in your house @HerRoyalWitchyness 1am @cricketmum84 oh my! Not had major migraine few years but still fear when get pain in middle head and sick feeling as could go any way.

Losing taste must be so strange!

OP posts:
cricketmum84 · 04/11/2021 11:28

Yep the taste thing is so strange! We made Indian beef koftas last night with a vegetable curry sauce, brown rice and Parathas. I was so looking forward to it but it just didn't taste of anything!

The only uninfected person in the house was sweating at the spiciness 😂😂 oops!

Glad to hear the little ones are doing ok @HerRoyalWitchyness. Sorry you also had a bad night though. I'm rather lucky in that mine are old enough to not need me that much anymore so I can sneak off for a nap whenever I want!

Akire · 05/11/2021 17:41

How is everyone getting on? Well done for getting through to Friday for us all with bells on.

Not been chemist yet as not had the “it’s ready text” waiting see how many painkillers I’ve been given. She said a few so that could be 3 or 30!

Managed some Xmas shopping today but I can’t carry much in my chair only a bag on one handle or can’t then do doors or lifts. Seems take forever! Getting there though.

OP posts:
SpookyScarySkeletons · 07/11/2021 10:10

Hope everyone is having a good weekend?

I'm on covid day 7 now and hoping I've turned a bit of a corner. Still have a chesty cough and congestion but no fever or aching (except the usual pains). I also had a couple of nights of 8-9 hours sleep which has been lovely.

Akire · 07/11/2021 10:16

So glad to hear that @cricketmum84 phew indeed.

I tried new inhaler which left me coughing hours with sore throat. I’m very sensitive to new meds so will leave it day and try again. I find people don’t believe you when you say side effects. Had this many times with boots they make you promise come back in 2 weeks of a new med. then when you do and say this side effect they say no you can’t have it… but I am and look it says it’s a side effect in big letters on the box.. ye no it can’t happen Confused

sweetkitty · 07/11/2021 22:45

Hope everyone is doing ok and giving covid its marching orders. I honestly cannot believe I didn’t get it.

Had my appointment with the maxi facial surgeon about my TMJD pain, he was great very thorough, it’s nothing sinister basically it’s muscular caused by stress. I have to test my jaw as much as I can Hmm soft diet no chewing, be fitted for a mouthguard to stop me grinding my teeth at night but ultimately it won’t just go away it’s something I have to learn to deal with and manage a bit like my fibromyalgia. Fibro didn’t cause it but it probably makes it worse. So no magic bullet Sad he wants my anti depressants increased and I’ve to continue with the dihydrocodeine and ibuprofen.

Apart from all of that all I want to do is sleep.
