Yes, exactly. A man would never be treated that way. It's their answer to everything if they can't be arsed.

SpindleWharl · 13/10/2021 21:44

@HerRoyalRisesAgain

Low carb bread is awful. So is gluten free bread (DS2 is coeliac)
I can manage a little bit of proper sourdough bread (toasted) every other day. Small portions of potato, rice, gluten-free pasta.

Can't stand gluten-free bread products.

Had a day out yesterday so had to pay for it today. Absolutely shattered, my right shoulder and neck are hurting. My TMJD pain is the worst though, it’s actually gotten worse in the past week so I’ve booked a private dental appointment to see if they can help me.

Akire · 14/10/2021 08:47

I’ve been on gluten free last year tried loads ones. I found wraps can be decent these are ok if heat in pan first. Some shops ones have been dreadful though.

Morrisons own gluten free pizza are nice and crispy and have been out of stick for three weeks!

HerRoyalWitchyness · 14/10/2021 18:25

Well I've had fun...
On Monday when I dislocated my shoulder, I couldn't get it back in. Anyway very long story short it's actually fractured. Yay me. Only I could manage to break my shoulder by stretching.

On top of that I've got a nasty chest infection (I'm on antibiotics but they've not kicked in yet) and I'm alone with 3 kids to take care off plus all my other disabilities and everything is just utterly shit.

sweetkitty · 15/10/2021 00:01

@HerRoyalWitchyness oh no that sounds awful
Poor you

I was going to come and gave another rant tonight but I feel a bit Blush anyway I put a prescription into the GPS Monday morning, went to pick it up today 1) at first they only gave me 2/5 items until I checked it then I had to wait outside in the cold & rain for 20 mins until they made it up then 2) no dihydrocodeine chemist said it didn’t come down and she could do another request for me but that would be 3 working days! So I’m trying to get by with ibuprofen and cocodamol for the chemist which isn’t strong enough so I’m in agony with my TMJD, hips and ribs are flaring too. I can’t eat properly as it’s been 8 weeks of this now. I eat only soft foods when I’m hungry to stop me feeling hungry. It’s disturbs my sleep all the usual. Feel like a junkie asking for dihydrocodeine but I have no pain tolerance thanks to the fibromyalgia so everything hurts.

It’s so rubbish we have to feel this way and struggle to get actual pain relief. The dentist said this is caused by stress and I’m getting stressed not having painkillers. This time last year I had a trapped nerve in my neck that was horrendous 3 weeks off work. I think the whole thing is related.

sweetkitty · 15/10/2021 00:04

Sorry I’ll explain right jaw that’s affected, right shoulder and neck are always sore and stiff, I get shooting pains up the right hand side of my head. Whenever I get a headache/migraine you guessed it right hand side. My right hip/SI joint is where I have sciatica too.

Akire · 15/10/2021 07:59

@HerRoyalWitchyness that’s awful I’m sorry you are skin such a mess, hugs. Can you not call in any favours from friends help with anything?

@sweetkitty I swear they do it on purpose not adding painkillers. If they don’t add it, it shouldn’t take 3 days. That’s add it to rest of pile request not urgent our own error request.

@Akire unfortunately my only friends don't live close enough and my best friend is @OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack and she is disabled herself and also lives miles away.
My mum will be down tomorrow to help with housework but until then I'm on my own.
And just to make everything even better I now have DS2 coughing so much he's being sick and DD shivering and complaining of aching all over.

HerRoyalWitchyness · 15/10/2021 08:02

@sweetkitty I'm waiting for my dihidrocodeine too. Seems there's trouble with the supplies as it's been the same the last couple of months for me.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 15/10/2021 10:01

you know id be there if i lived closer @HerRoyalWitchyness best bitches stick together!!

Ugh its injection day today and i cant be arsed to go so im going in my pjs, i dont even care. they get me in pjs or not at all so pjs it is!

sweetkitty · 15/10/2021 19:36

Finally got my dihydrocodeine today after phoning and begging for a prescription. So feeling a lot better now, pain has come down to a tolerable level. Maybe I’ll get a good nights sleep. Have to ration them as well as only get 56 in one go.

sweetkitty · 16/10/2021 18:20

High pain day today, jaw giving me headaches as well even dihydrocodeine not cutting it. I’m so hoping they can do something for me in November but it seems so far away right now. Sad back to work on Monday too and we are going to get inspected in the next couple of weeks so my stress levels are only going to go up.

HerRoyalWitchyness · 16/10/2021 18:41

@sweetkitty that sounds rough.

I went up to urgent care today as my antibiotics weren't working. Turns out I've got pneumonia so now I'm on two types of antibiotics.

sweetkitty · 17/10/2021 00:32

@HerRoyalWitchyness Shock pneumonia you need to take it easy with that Flowers no wonder you are feeling so rough

HerRoyalWitchyness · 17/10/2021 09:58

Yeah, ive had it a few times. I've also once had pleurisy. That wasn't fun at all.

Akire · 17/10/2021 10:13

Sounds awful hope each day is little better Flowers

My DP has had sciatica since May due to 2 slipped discs. (He had it in 2015 but got relief from a cortisone spinal injection)

He's not worked since May, could hardly walk until they eventually sorted his medication out and has been in constant pain and cannot stand or sit for long.

He's having a discetomy on Thursday and I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of this operation - first few days after the operation and ongoing recovery.

He's hoping to be back at work beginning of December but he works in the demolition industry and it's a very physical job so I'm wondering whether that time frame is too soon.

Worrysaboutalot · 19/10/2021 21:03

@BG2015 I haven't got any advice but sending gentle hugs to you and your husband. Flowers

HerRoyalWitchyness · 19/10/2021 21:10

I had pain clinic today. Im being referred to the head of the entire service as I'm such a complex case

Worrysaboutalot · 19/10/2021 21:12

I waited two weeks for my extra Amitriptyline pill to kick in but I had to give in. So today when I was seeing an absolutely lovely doctor for some other reasons, I asked for something else to help my nerve pain, so she upped my Gabapentin as well.

So I am feeling both hopeful that in three days this nerve pain will hopefully subside and also feeling sad about taking yet more pills.

So 30mcg Amitriptyline and 900mcg Gabapentin daily, sigh. Lets hope this works for me Sad[happy]
