wollysocks · 24/12/2009 22:42

maybe go in and threaten to read to him til he drops off!

or give up, let him get up for half an hour or so and try again.

cece · 24/12/2009 22:46

My 8 year old was still awake half an hour ago. Will go and check again in a mo.

TLESinChristmasStockings · 24/12/2009 23:01

TLESinChristmasStockings · 24/12/2009 23:22

awww Bunny i feel for you!!!

DS2 is currently bouncing off the walls

PirateCatintheXmasHat · 24/12/2009 23:24

oh god bunny!

I was just thinking of grabbing the stocking, when she yelled out. I do believe she is only having light sleep tonight. HOW, she's bloody knackered?

bunny3 · 24/12/2009 23:25

They are so excited, I cant get cross with them but I really want to do the Santa stuff tonight. Cant risk setting an early alarm as they will all be up at about 4.30 am. Will be snoozing face down in the turkey tomorrow after a few drinks.

elastamum · 24/12/2009 23:26

mine were nearly asleep until i woke all the dogs up by inflating an 8ft snowman on the front lawn! they are all barking like mad

bunny3 · 24/12/2009 23:26

My Mum made our stockings and she put bells on them so I have to wait till dcs are really deeply asleep before I can risk moving the bloody stockings to stuff them. Why in Gods name did she use bells???

bunny3 · 24/12/2009 23:27

pmsl 8ft snowman and barking dogs!

brimfull · 24/12/2009 23:28

in this house we have one pressie from santa and he leaves it by the fireplace, next to the stocking

much easier

PirateCatintheXmasHat · 24/12/2009 23:33

i have a sackload of crinkly paper to transfer forma black bin liner into a felt pillowcase type thing.

it Should be a game on the Cube

the 8ft snowman sounds wicked!!!

bunny3 · 24/12/2009 23:33

stockings at end of bed here. I think next year they sill be by the fireplace downstairs!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 24/12/2009 23:35

DD is asleep but I know if I venture into her room she will wake, and as she usually wakes at 3am stockin is going to be left downstairs.

StayingSantasGirl · 24/12/2009 23:37

Ds2 and ds3 are asleep, but ds1 has only just prised himself off msn and headed for his pit. Dh, however, is snoring in the front room.

JingleAllTheWay · 24/12/2009 23:38

ggirl - exactly the same here, all done now

phew

Happy Christmas everyone

MollieO · 24/12/2009 23:39

Am impressed that there are 10 yr olds who still believe in FC. Ds is 5 and, from various comments he has made this year, I reckon will suss it by the time he is 6 .

PirateCatintheXmasHat · 24/12/2009 23:40

i wish i'd said fc will leave it downstairs.

I always had mine at the end of the bed, it's SOOOOOO exciting to find it there.

Oh well, i'll go and drink more Baileystea.
