No idea what to get them usually spend £40-50 on them if getting a joint pressie.

Help.....

I bought my MIL a lovely handbag from M&S and my FIL a set of pyjamas and a chunky knit sweater with zip at chest.

Not been shopping yet but we are thinking nice household diary/cookbooks, smellies for MIL and a novel for FIL.

In the past my pressies for this generation have included cheese knife/board set and a whole stilton, that went down well; nice champagne; or household stuff eg a quilt or throw.

MIL is probably getting Terry Wogan's book.

Her DH is getting some nice old postcards of the area he was born in (found on Ebay) - we got them framed.

Grandparents' journals for them to fill in and give back to DS (like this as they are long divorced but this is nicer if they're still a couple)

I have got my ILs exactly the same as they are getting my dcs i.e. NOTHING

A magnetic message board with 3 photo frames which I have filled with pics of the DCs for MIL, wrapped in paper made by ds2.

A wooden puzzle thingy for FIL (he hates receiving presents - loves giving them - and so is impossible to shop for )

God, personalised wine sounds good.

Electric toothbrush for FIL and Perfume for MIL. SIL also getting them Susan Boyles new album and smellies.

Whisky for fil. Wine for mil. They are easy.

FIL has passed away but he always liked Schnapps (being Austrian)

MIL not nearly as much fun. Took her shopping to M&S last year and said, pick a few things you like. Worked rather well as she is hard to please!

This year she's getting a new bling collar for her doggie. And a photo calendar from the kids (this is an annual thing). Plus marzipan fruits. And maybe a jigsaw puzzle.
