I thought it was hillarious! Can someone explain the Christmas tree to me - everything else all carefully selected and then the tree, in 'pole' position, festooned with all the sort of crap that us normal people have - was it to give us hope? I was quite upset actually as my tree is all co-ordinated colours (bronze & gold) and NO TINSEL!! LOL - thought I was stylish but obv not. Don't give a figgy pud anyway!

If you do decide to make soap always add the drain cleaner caustic soda to the water not the other way around as it can buble up and do you much mishief!

If you are interested can I suggest Melanie Coss's Handmade Soap Book.

Make sure you know the correct amount of caustic soda to add by looking up the saponification value of the oils you are using. I always try to make the oil 10% more than the saponification value says I should to be on the safe side.

This programme is annoying me more than last night's (and that really annoyed me). Making soap that has a curing time of 6 weeks? I'll add that to my Christmas present giving for the end of January .

Imo this programme should have been shown in October.
