Some idiot company decided to give me a full time job earlier than expected, and I have a MASSIVE document to finish; they are paying me a load of money (well more than I have ever earned before) so I feel duty bound as the eager newbie to get it done in my free time...

I have no internet access during the day apart from BBC, tfl and a couple of others.

I have also been ill, not with a hangover from the Christmas Party, but with earache, and have had v little sleep, so had to have the day off work yesterday (so much for the eager newbie)

Anyhoo - this means that the matching will be delayed by a couple of days. Sorry

Thanks for the update Norma. You have gone way and above (beyond?). I live in an area with no or very dodgy mobile signal so know all about that! My potential match-ee is a 12-18 month old girl so she'll be totally unaware of Christmas anyway (if mine was anything to go by) so a New Year gift will be fine. Yay. Got my match!! Have ordered online through amazon.com and they still have one day delivery so - guaranteed to reach tomorrow by 1pm!

But I didn't gift wrap. Couldn't manage both express delivery and gift wrap so chose to get it out on time...

I haven't read the thread so don't be cross with me I haven't had a match yet.

Well what a fun day we've had (which has been really useful as ds is having an early birthday party/sleepover so has helped keep him from gettng over-excited!)

Anyway, got our match this morning. Went off shopping to find gifts for appropriate ages...home to sort out gift wrap etc and parcel it up...went to local lovely post office where given every possible posting option, price, timings etc...
ANd guess what? Special delivery wasn't that much more than 1st class (justa couple of £s) and GUARANTEES DELIVERY TOMORROW

Can you tell I'm excited?!

wow, MrNSF sounds fab. Its as much as my husband can do to walk to the kitchen to put the kettle on, let alone climb mountains for strange women
(by strange women, of course I don't mean NSF, I mean the 'unknown' women she is doing it for)

Managed to get out in the blizzards this morning to post my parcel. sent it special delivery so should be there tom fingers crossed!!

norma, i hate to say this, but i still dont have a match! if i get it today, i may be able to order something small to be delivered, but the things i have here will have to go off after xmas now i'm afraid

Cherry you need to read further up this thread where Norma had posted earlier.

Shes gonna enjoy whats left of Xmas with her family ( and rightly so! ) and any outstanding matches will be done in the New Year.
