I put on a non-forgiving pair of cords this morning and they are a tad snug. I've put on 6 lbs over the festivities - not bad considereing the chocolates, Christmas pud (x2), clementine cake and other titbits which somehow found their way on to my plate

Come on, share!!!!

I've lost 2lbs

Due to the addittion of a dog to our family so lots and lots of lovely long walks.

cornsilk · 02/01/2009 12:49

My stomach has turned into a human marshmallow.

I'm blaming my mate tbh. We met after many years in May - he was huge, unrecognisable from the man/boy I knew before.

He has steadily lost sh*tloads of weight since then. I have steadily gained it.

I clearly have his fat.

norksinmywaistband · 02/01/2009 12:52

over half a stone
diet starts monday

bellavita · 02/01/2009 12:55

Not got on the scales, but I know I have put loads on due to tightness in clothes and I am feeling very bloated.

Diet started today.

Flamespar · 02/01/2009 12:57

bella29 · 02/01/2009 12:58

Very at DrNortherner losing weight...

I too have been walking the dogs (with a vengeance) over the hols but obviously not enough to counteract the unexplained but massive increase in calories..

Am hoping if I revert to normal eating but keep up the walking all these pounds will just fall off, no problem (all nod, please!)

Flame: it is a well know fact that women gain weight when they move in with a man - absolutely 100% proven. Not your fault, honey! Fancy another biscuit?

No idea, but jeans already tight at the waist are now also tight around the thighs.

I'm actually looking forward to starting my diet on Monday.

I have a glam party to go to on 17 Jan which will demand a new frock and I've no idea how that one is going to work. If I find one now it will (hopefully) not fit by 17th, but I have no idea how big I will be in less than 2 weeks time!

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:01

About 3lbs. at OP putting on 6lbs and still getting into non forgiving cords.

I think I balanced out somehow by eating lots of chocolare but not much else. Still have endless supplies as well. Had 3 chocolates for breakfast this morning. Although my skin will suffer hopefully my waistband won't (too much).

notyummy · 02/01/2009 13:02

I had the flu (last year it was tonsiitius), so for the second year running I have lost half a stone over Christmas. In some ways it was good to lose a few pounds (although I wasn't over weight to begin with)....but Christmas was pretty rubbish if I'm honest as I felt RUBBISH.

bella29 · 02/01/2009 13:02

Vey envious of your name, MrsBean...

Yes, I do still get into them but you haven't seen the muffin top which has resulted. Not pretty....

bella29 · 02/01/2009 13:03

Get well soon, notyummy

I have put on 2lbs, but as I am such a heifer anyway it hasn't made a fat lot of difference. It's just another 2lbs to ad to the 817236182736182736182 stone I have to lose

bella29 · 02/01/2009 13:05

Do not call yourself a heifer, Sheik!

No self loathing allowed on this thread, okay?

OP posts:
SheikYerbouti · 02/01/2009 13:07

Not self loathing - just the troof, innit

Well, exaggerated truth. I have 4 stone to get rid of

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:07

I have the mother of all muffin tops to begin with though bella! Come to think of it... motherofallmuffintops wouldn't make a bad name either. But I shall stay faithful to Sean.

bella29 · 02/01/2009 13:09

No, it's okay - just ditch Sean. I'll have him - BellaBean

Sheik - my original comment still stands!!!!
