all you 'older MNers' who would have received LP's for xmas........which one would take you back to a christmas of your teens???

mine is the pet shop boys LP that had 'shopping' on it, the first Aha album (take on me/sun always shines on tv), and bonjovi (slippery when wet).

I got each LP at xmas when I was 13/14/15 (one per year).

The War Of The Worlds concept album was one of mine. Then various Sweet albums (drove my poor family mental by getting back into the band about 4 years after they fell out of fashion and requesting all these deleted albums that they had to hunt for...). Down To Earth by Rainbow, Easter by Patti Smith, Regatta De Blanc by the Police (in fact the first 3 albums I think were 3 successive xmases...)

Oh, and arrgh don't mention NMA. I thought they were wank when they were actually in the charts and then about 10 years ago got involved with one of my more, er, challenging mates who is/was an obsessive fan and used to play their stuff at me constantly. (Particularly 'It's All Vanity' when we were rowing, grrr). I now can't listen to that poncy clog-wearer's whine without coming out in a rash.
