Where do you buy your mince pies?

I'm getting married over Christmas and need to buy in a load of mince pies for the drinks reception.

Which shop do you think makes the best ones?

The Good Housekeeping article recommends ones from the Co-op and GH has done so for several years.

Co-op ones are excellent, I think their baked stuff is generally very good.

sainsburys do the best mince pies by far. i buy them every xmas.

IIRC, Waitrose all butter ones came out highly as well as Tescos Finest and another one I can't remember. It depends on what you're looking for in a mince pie I think.

I make mine, but had a taster of an M & S mini mince pie, it was fantastic, nice buttery short pastry, juicy mincemeat.

The Greggs ones are amazing, bizarrely. Like proper homemade ones. In fact, I had one for lunch. Yum.

Sainsbury's mini ones are gorgeous, or they were last year, haven't had one so far this year.

nicest ones I've EVER had were from Fortnum & Mason - mmmmmmm

Another vote for Greggs. They taste really good and look individual - by that I mean not all absolutely identical and mass produced (although I presume they are), like they could've been made in a real life kitchen.

I'm a Waitrose girl. They do these packs of mini mince pies in 3 different types. They're just divine! But they are a bit pricey...Usually they reduce them, or offer them at 3 for the price of 2 and I'll be keeping my eyes out for the offers.

I make them with my own mincemeat they are divine and cannot be compared to anything you could ever buy in a shop

My favourite are the Tesco Finest ones - lovely pastry and nice taste of brandy to give it a kick. We always buy them as soon as they come into the store in Oct - delice heated with some fresh cream! Mmmmm

I make them with my mum's excellent pastry recipe (and shop bought mincemeat though)
