Christmas Bargain Thread 8 - The one with the Vag Charms

[RainbowZebraWarrior]

Hi all. I'm just caretaking until Reastie returns, but here's our new thread. Please do use up the old one first though.

This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here:

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

🎄 Emoji to copy if required for posting bargains as some agree this makes deals easier to spot. (or post in bold)

I brought DS a heated hot water bottle last year. I can’t remember where it was from (maybe Lidl) but he loves it because he can plug it in and charge it himself and use it when he likes instead of asking me to fill it

Thank you for the thread @RainbowZebraWarrior

Those Nike airforce trainers are a bargain! Sadly not my size or I’d have pounced on them. DC’s have now moved over to New Balance.
I hate missing out on a bargain 😅

Try the DeLonghi outlet for refurbished/returned machines. It’s on eBay, and run by DeLonghi

My NeeDohs arrived from urban outfitters! Strong box too, so I'm surprised it was damaged. DS1 will be delighted.

I've ordered from Zalando for years and never ran into any issues.

@Merrowi highly suspect mine were just stolen to be honest.

@TheGirlWithGlassFeetthat sounds good. I’ll take a look at that thank you

Re: Footlocker £50 Nike trainers mentioned upthread.

A BL discount code stacks with all FL’s reduced trainers.

Not entirely Christmassy, but I'm just back from Waitrose where they were drastically reducing all their Hallowe'en stuff. (including lots of sweeties but i didn't buy any).

I got the haul in the pic for less than a tenner. The candles are perfect for Christmas though! Worth popping in if you are nearby.

(Wreath, led pumpkin, led ghost, led dinner candles, and two sets of pumpkin lights)

Any ideas for an advent calendar for an 11 year old girl. Not into beauty or anything like that. I am getting a bit nervous as I normally have them by now 😬

Second this, we have bought my dad one from here twice over the years and they have been great. They come with a warranty too which my dad has used and had no issues

My Billie Rae orders came today, absolutely delighted with them. Thank you @hugsandpugs

Just caved on the Nespresso Vertuo Pop coffee machine.

At John Lewis - the black one is £49, other colours £54. (Nespresso direct have it for £64)

includes 12 pods as standard but also a free gift of 2 travel mugs & 50 pods.

HOWEVER.. with John Lewis you have to redeem the gift from Nespresso with proof of purchase. Whereas if you buy direct, it’s included in the machine delivery. I thought the “hassle” was worth it for £15 saving.

Free click & collect from post office too.

I’ve ordered from Zalando several times and never had any problems. They’ve given me a partial refund before when something I bought from them was reduced a couple of weeks later.

Yep loads of times and the couple of times I've had an issue (normally delivery company related) they've been great

@Thelifeofawife

New Balance Junior 370 Trainers (Navy/White) £24.99 (only available in 3, 4, 4.5 and 5)

Yay so happy that the orders from Billie Rae have arrived safely for those of you that ordered & that your happy with them! She was very appreciative when I told her that a few of you had ordered via my recommendation 🥰💕 I’m eagerly awaiting my postman delivering mine as I got an email to say it’s out for delivery 🚚 😂

I do a DIY advent for DD - who is now 15 but been doing it for about 4 years. Different things in little numbered bags, ranging from chocolate, stickers and pin badges from TV shows and movies she likes, key chains, earrings, lip balms and glosses, bookmarks. It’s a bit of work, but it brings her loads of happiness- especially when I write messages/ clues on the wrapping

do u have a link ive looked but cant see it

@Carrie76there is a website called Mary Shortle which has a smudge monkey for £69 but it’s not listed as a jellycat stockist on the jellycat website.

My DD, nearly 10, has asked for a Coco Wyo colouring advent. It’s about a tenner in Tesco but sold out here. It’s £25 in Waterstones so I’m holding out 🤣

Is this the heated under blanket you were looking at? Only king size though (although more like a normal double)

My niece has a refillable advent calendar and this year Dsis has filled it with Croc charms and chocolate coins. Very specific to her love of Crocs but different none the less. She got a bundle from shein and a few personalised ones from Etsy for under £20 all in.

I make DD one but it’s beauty and skincare based.

A dr kit is great to make yourself. Cheap plasters/bandages from pound shop with thermometer. Real stethoscope from eBay and a lanyard and notebook/clipboard. Kept kids busy for hours!

The only one I like so far is the legami one but that is £50 so that's a no! She had Stitch Funko pop last yr.

Would she like the Legami one? It's £50 and free delivery from Ryman at the moment
