Christmas Bargain Thread 8 - The one with the Vag Charms

[RainbowZebraWarrior]

Hi all. I'm just caretaking until Reastie returns, but here's our new thread. Please do use up the old one first though.

This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here:

Has anyone got the Mini Brands vinyl record player? DD has asked for it but don’t want to buy it if it’s no good.

Thank you so much 😊

Ooo was there any good deals on the posca pens?

Im hoping that someone can help me find a deal for a digital photo frame.
I need a 10" or similar for my parents and a 15" or similar for my mother in law.
The idea is we can upload family photos for my technically challenged and sadly recently bereaved mil, my parents are awful to buy for and I figured this was as good as anything.
Ideally we could pass the log in details on to other family members.

Thankyou

I want to buy one of these just for me 😜

If you do an internet search there are loads of people who have done reviews and comparisons between Mini Brand v’s Miniverse vinyl players.

We all have the Frameo ones from Amazon and love them, Easy to share the frame code with friends and family. We got them from Amazon during a sale.

@Queenfreak

Aww maaan! I ordered one of those this afternoon 😫 I’ve been looking at them for over a week now (thank you Govt advice to ‘prepare’ 🙄) and the cheap price on that one seduced me. It didn’t have any reviews but thought it was worth a try. Doh!

🌲The city treasure hunt books someone mentioned a thread or two ago are on buy one get one free at the moment, so £19.99 for two.

Second the Frameo one, bought one for MIL 3 years ago and it's going strong and my mum has requested on this year.

Yes baby chips does

Its alright for the novelty value but only plays about 10 seconds of music

It only plays 30seconds of the song, over and over and over again 😂 it’s good for what it is! If you get easily irritated by things it may not be for you..

Ah so glad your okay @Reastie 💛

I thought it was the Mystery Guides that were recommended?

Treasure Hunt Adventure books | Mystery Guides | City Tours

I was planning on getting them for DC so could anyone confirm which is best please?

I've only done Mystery Guides and they're great, but I'd like to know if anyone recommends the others too.

Thats really helpful. Thankyou so much

Does anyone know of any ways to get a discount for the just my look website? Just thought I’d ask here before placing an order 😊

Ah, so good to see you @Reastie

Great to hear from you my lovely, and very happy to pass the baton back x

May not be helpful but I've just got one for my 7 year old on marketplace but got a really good one that would have been £250 otherwise. I researched the cheaper ones and none were any good at that price point.

My dd has it and likes it, I’m not sure it’s worth the money as it only plays part of a song on each record. Dd just bought the record player and 2 of the surprise balls, she hasn’t asked for any more but she does still play with it.

🎄10% off toys on very using code TOYS10 including lots of already reduced lego.

Thank you @Theimpossiblegirl . I think I'll stick with the Mystery Guides even though they're more expensive. They've won an award for Gift of the Year 2026 and I can't see any reviews for the Treasure Hunt books.

I believe it was £30 for 25.
