has anyone bought a weighted blanket recently? I am looking for one for my mum for Christmas but can’t afford to spend loads!

I bought this one for my daughter 2 years ago and she loves it. It looks really nice in her room, and still looks as good as new so great quality. It’s lovely and soft as well l. I paid £28 2 years ago and I see the price has not really changed

I bought my dd one from OHS. I don’t know how they compare as I’ve never bought one before but it looks good and is definitely weighted.

Thanks @IlovePond but tried everywhere. Couldn't get the colour I wanted and they were asking stupid money for what they did have - probably more than I paid for the whole 6 place setting set I have (bought through Tesco Clubcard Rewards when you used to get 3 or 4 times value).
It's our everyday set so not critical that it matches but I've signed up with Chinasearch in case they get any in.

I do know where you’re based but my daughter just bought a full Denby set (6 places settings of plates, pasta bowls, 2 different sizes of small bowls and 4 dipping bowls) for £75 from Boundary Mill. Lots of colours available too.

I'm also looking for a weighted balcony for anxiety for DH, does anyone have any recommendations? Never had one before

@YoureDevastatedRightNow @SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePleaseBarista yeah DH has jokingly (not joking) banned me from Amazon and Mumsnet.

Though *half the issue is I show him what I intend to buy and then he WFH so accepts the parcels and somehow it seems like twice as much.

*This is definitely considerably less than half the issue....the issue is the sheer volume of stuff and that he's the first line or defence so am not squirreling it away 😅

Of course! This is why my dp moans as he gets the email confirmation AND the actual items delivered!
Also lots of Amazon packages are being split and coming in different days to what I selected- they are coming earlier however that means it’s not the days I’m at home…

REMEMBER AMAZON items - if you want them hidden in a package select it’s a gift!

That’s an interesting idea about Costco trade membership!

However, registering a company means that anyone can find out your address just by going on the Companies House site on gov.co.uk:

https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/companies-house

Much as I love Costco, I value my privacy more, (which is why I am ‘private’ on the electoral register - or as private as possible!)

I don’t know if there are other issues - like the government suddenly expecting tax returns on a non-existent business!

You can take out business insurance for about 15 for the year and use the certificate to get a costco card. You dont have to have registered the business anywhere.

Thank you. I hadn't realised but there's one about 20 miles away. Not the best of journeys (M6) but if DH decides to go mountain biking at Cannock anytime soon I might just go with him!

OMG been in hospital and missed almost three full threads!!!

Anyway, just spotted this - only in black and size XL at this price, but could be useful for someone

Thanks I’ve ordered this too!

I bought this one a few months ago, though it was cheaper then. Maybe they are inflating the price so they can lower it again for Black friday?

Our local Aldi still had plenty of stock for the wooden toy event this evening. Good quality and very affordable.

I’ve received a few parcels today, the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea shower gel - not sure about that, will see if I need a gift for anyone unexpected, and if not I’ll use it after Christmas. The RHS Almanac - that and one of the Feather & Down sleep sets will make nice birthday presents for my ex-MIL from the DCs.

Still no Plouise, I ordered later than others though.

Got my order from Lands End yesterday, delivery seemed to take a long time, but the goods are excellent quality, I can see me ordering from them again.

Re: weighted blanket - I ordered from Online Home Store last year, at the time they seemed to be the only place selling teddy fleece ones. DS is very happy with his, and now DD wants one, so I might be ordering again soon.

CharlieWeasleysWife · Yesterday 23:45

Does anyone have an Argos code pretty please? Tried adding to my basket and waiting but no joy sadly.

tillytown · Yesterday 23:48

@CharlieWeasleysWife here's a £8 off £80, valid until the 10th - 4CJM59Y2HPV7
