Does anyone know if there are ever any offers on Fortnum and Mason? I know it might not be very likely!

TopCashback has 3% cashback

Boots have a nice bubble skincare set for £35, it’s not on the 3 for 2 but it’s good value for the full size bottles. I bought dd the travel size ones last year so I know she’ll be happy with this

MerylSqueak · 03/10/2026 19:24

Does anyone know if Medicube will have some kind of gift set? DD has asked for some of the zero pore pads but it's always nice if there's a fancy box and a few extras.

Anyone remember when Smiggle drop their prices for advent calendars? I haven't bought one in a few years but noticed they have a squishmallow one this year which my daughter might like....but I am not paying £35 for it!

Yes! I wrote down what they did last year: Tues 18th November Smiggle advent cal dropped to £12.50. Thurs 20th Smiggle advent now £10.

Has anyone tried the little reading lamps you can clip onto books please? Ideally decorative- my daughter always lingers over them in Waterstones but I worry they will break easily.

I have this one, the kids use it more than me and if it can survive them it must be pretty bombproof.

I used to use one all the time and it was good. It wasn't decorative though it was just plain with an adjustable metal body and black plastic clip and light

Thanks - taken a punt on this which is discounted plus 10% extra with blue light. I like that you can collect to avoid postage and they support local shops.

Thank you! Now that's detailed planning I like!
Hopefully will do similar this year!

For anyone taking advantage of the Harper Collins 50% off, there is also 15% cashback on TopCashBack. It might ultimately be rejected, but mine has tracked at that rate.

Does anyone know if stackers jewellery boxes do anything for Black Friday? I’d love one for dd. Can anyone advise if they look as good in real life? There is 15% on blue light but they are so expensive and I’d hate to miss a better deal!

Nellynoo182 · 03/10/2026 20:22

Hi guys, I need to buy 2 iPads, anyone aware of any deals or the cheapest way to do this please? We will be buying them for our business if that makes a difference!

MCF86 · 03/10/2026 18:04

I know someone who bought stamps for her wedding invitations from Amazon... they were never delivered, we all got slips to say there was something for collection that needed the postage paying (after the first person did she had to quickly fire off messages telling everyone to just not get them!)

Oh no what a headache!

These ones were from the royal mail store, bar coded and everything. Only 20p cheaper than buying at the post office, but that adds up over a few Christmas cards. So I'm hoping they're legit!

Can't help on discounts for this I'm afraid but I have a stackers jewellery box (a gift from my sister a few years ago!) and it's really nice quality. I just have two layers (one of what they call the "lid" and then a single jewellery layer under that) - I would say it's helpful for the bottom layer to be a drawer so you dont always have to lift the top off to access it.

nicky2512 · 03/10/2026 21:03

@MyWildDuckThank you for that. That’s good to know I’ll definitely get her one. Just might hold on a little longer.

IlovePond · 03/10/2026 21:14

@nicky2512 - they sell them in JL so you can go and look at them irl before committing.

There’s also lots for sale on Vinted and eBay, often brand new.

hby9628 · 03/10/2026 21:17

@nicky2512stackers have definitely done offers on Black Friday. I got myself one during it maybe the year before last. I didn’t look last year so I can’t tell you how good it was.

I bought mine from Amazon, so it would be worth keeping an eye on there, especially with prime days coming up.

nicky2512 · 03/10/2026 21:18

@IlovePondThank you. We don’t have John Lewis but I’ll keep an eye on their site. Genuinely didn’t think of Vinted. Will have a look.

IggyAce · 03/10/2026 21:23

@Nellynoo182 we have brought reconditioned iPads direct from Apple, no issue with them. You have to keep checking for stock and they often come in stock after midnight from memory.

What is this tip? Thanks

I got my original set from John Lewis on sale, can't remember if it was BF or not though.
I've got the drawer ones, and really like mine. It's great that you can add layers, I've just added a new necklace layer to mine.
