Where can I find Christmas decorations in shops this early?

Hi All,

I know it's early but this is the Christmas thread! We are off visiting family early next week in India. One of our relatives likes to do a Christmas tree each year and I wondered if anywhere was already selling Christmas decorations as I would like to take them some.

Went to a garden centre earlier thinking that they might have started a small corner already and they laughed and thought I was mad. It did feel a bit of a mad request in this heatwave to be fair!!!

Anyway I think I've left it too late to order/find anything online so has anyone seen any larger chain stores stocking Christmas decorations already?!!! There must be somewhere!!! Appreciate any suggestions.

I saw Xmas dec at the pound-stretcher last week.

I saw decorations being put out in the range last week.

Pound stretcher had some in last week.

I was in B&M today and they were putting decorations on the shelves!

Depending on where you are some places in the country have a permanent Christmas shop near them.

York and Stratford upon Avon are the ones I am aware of but there are others.

Harrods opened their Christmas shop this week I think.

We generally pick up a Christmas decoration if we go to big museums/national trust type place, regardless of time of year.

I imagine most tourist destinations will have them, and usually they are location specific (i.e. we are in Scotland and you can generally put money on finding a Highland coo or Thistle, in London you get the beefeater or king's guard style) - might be appreciated by family overseas?

Try asking charity shops. They usually have seasonal stock.

The Range had some today (amongst the aisles and aisles of Autumn/Halloween stuff).

Where do you live? Theres a garden centre in Essex that opens its Christmas Department in a week or two. Otherwise online.

I was in Home & Bargains today and they were clearing their shelves, I’d imagine they’ll have their Christmas stuff on them tomorrow

Home bargains usually have stuff in around now, I can remember because I was looking for things to take on my summer holiday and the seasonal aisles had summer garden toys, Halloween and Xmas stuff!

Surely you’ll want to get them something more special? Try Etsy or EBay for something a little different.

Might be a bit far but there’s an amazing Christmas shop in Amsterdam.

The big Home Bargains near us has some things out. Or Crete. There are Christmas baubles here (currently on holiday).
