Where can I find Christmas decorations in shops this early?

Hi All,

I know it's early but this is the Christmas thread! We are off visiting family early next week in India. One of our relatives likes to do a Christmas tree each year and I wondered if anywhere was already selling Christmas decorations as I would like to take them some.

Went to a garden centre earlier thinking that they might have started a small corner already and they laughed and thought I was mad. It did feel a bit of a mad request in this heatwave to be fair!!!

Anyway I think I've left it too late to order/find anything online so has anyone seen any larger chain stores stocking Christmas decorations already?!!! There must be somewhere!!! Appreciate any suggestions.

We went to the Christmas shop in York last month and it’s phenomenally expensive . Harrods / Liberty prices and some .

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were talking about Summerhill garden centre in Billericay , it opens its Christmas dept August bank holiday weekend every year !

And I might have already had a look and ordered a couple of things .............

Agree with a pp about charity shops. They usually keep any seasonal stuff out the back in their store room, and put it out at the appropriate time of year.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I tried B&M today and they had lights and gift sets out but alas no decorations. I think I was hoping to stumble across some single nice ones as opposed to boxes of. I will check out our local National Trust tomorrow and also might venture up to central London to Harrods/Fortnum & Masons in this ridiculous quest. Also half tempted to raid our box of Christmas decorations in the loft to see if anything suitable is in there but that also seems like peaking too early and I would like to delay getting them out until at least late November if possible.

I can't remember who posted that they had ordered some Christmas decorations from Next already but I salute you! I definitely don't feel festive as I huddle by a fan whilst trying to keep cool!!!

P.s. the charity shop one is excellent and I will investigate this. I did try Amazon but they just seemed to have large boxes of decorations which wasn't quite what I was after. Looked briefly on eBay but wasn't sure re postage time being long enough. Will check out Etsy properly now, Thank you.
