Fuck… I need to start wrapping!!

I drove home from family this morning. 3hrs. Then did the food shop. Home at 4. I had every intention of starting to wrap, but have drank half a bottle of sherry and watched two Christmas films instead 😆

I only have 22 pressies to wrap!

This used to be out tradition… but youngest is 12 now and goes to bed later 😅

I wrapped everything today. I take the ironing board upstairs to the bedroom to use as my wrapping table, firmly shut the bedroom door, and get an audio book going. Constructive peace and quiet!

Well in a fit of efficiency I’ve bought these amazing pretty plastic present sacks that come in packs in mixed sizes from super mini to huge, present goes in, drawstring pulled - job done- reusable too - took me half an hour to do a load .

Tell me more.....who did you outsource to and how did this work because I'm doing it next year 😂

Just finished the kids, been at it all evening, haven’t done DH yet, that will wait until tomorrow I think. It’s the first year we’re not wrapping kids stuff late on Christmas Eve, eldest is 18, so has taken a while to get slightly organised! We have a tradition of having a few of our friends over for drinks on the evening of Xmas Eve and normally only get round to wrapping stocking presents after they’ve left. I hate wrapping presents, I’m not a fan of getting presents (I’ve got too much stuff as it is). Wish Christmas could just be food and getting together.

I have done no wrapping and wondering why I have got to the grand old age of 50 and not thought about gift bags 🙈 I use them for birthdays so why the fuck don’t I use them at Christmas?!

I thought that's what Christmas Eve is for. I never start wrapping until Christmas Eve.

I’ve just done ‘the last few bits’ and it took 1.5 hours, hate wrapping! But done! 🥳

I LOVE wrapping presents!
I don't do a load in one go because I'd find that too much, but otherwise it's a lovely therapeutic thing to do.
(I like ironing as well though, so maybe it's just me...)

Ive had a bad case if the can't be arsed but the realisation of how much i have to do has hit me.

So a local woman advertises a gift wrapping service every year on our local FB village page and I decided to take her up on the offer! You fill each bag with child’s toys and away she goes! She charges £10 an hour. Says she enjoys wrapping and remembers what a stress it was when her children were little 😂.

my other presents my friends daughter wrapped as she adores wrapping presents. Why I do not know. I said thank you and she said no thank you! 😂

I got her a little box of chocolate and chucked her a tenner.

FFS Me too. The pile has been looking at me all week. I feel ill now too. Have downed a bunch of vitamins and hoping i feel better in the morning when I have to do ALL THE THINGS!!! 🙈🙈🙈

Just finished mine , got to get some cash out for nephew and some floral arrangement for inlaw en route to delivering - not wrapping DH’s though we just leave them in the delivery boxes
