Sorry if this thread has been done recently (must have missed it if so), but I’m going to make a trip to m&s tomorrow to get some snack items and possibly a dessert for Xmas day - does anyone have any recommendations?

already on my list:

  • biscuit curls
  • fresh cookies
  • Drinking hot chocolate

If you aren't making your own then Aldi's speciality range puddings are better than anything in M&S.

noblegiraffe · 22/12/2025 13:25

A box of their Extremely Chocolatey Chocolate biscuits and another box of their All-Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookie selection.

Chocolate pine cones for pudding

RainbowBagels · 22/12/2025 13:44

I only wanted their Munch Mix, but I cant find it in any M&S so I'm sulking and and going to make my own from Lidl stuff (unhelpful)

Youraveragelass · 22/12/2025 13:46

The M&S dips are amazing! Chicken shawarma and New York deli pastrami are my two favourites but you can’t go wrong with any of them!

winewolfhowls · 22/12/2025 13:47

Those bags of mini whips are amazing (like walnut whips without the nut)

Forgottenmyphone · 22/12/2025 13:47

Their tubs of Yule log bites

berlinbaby2025 · 22/12/2025 13:56

No supermarket comes close to M&S for food except Waitrose.

My recommendations:

Mini chocolate and guerande sea salt caramel tarts

Churro tarts

Thanks all for the suggestions, will definitely be adding some of them to my list.

Has anyone tried the big mix choc box? Is it better than quality street/roses etc?
Also any m&s brand crisps worth trying?

Yes the big mix is fab. Much better than the branded Christmas chocolates and work out better value too I believe.

I would be happy to try but we don’t have one within about 10 miles

LOL @ Aldi being nicer/better than M&S. It's really not.

Anyway, snack bits are subjective IMO. We like the combo mix crisps things,

We have gone for the sticky toffee trifle for pudding. Also highly recommend their chocolate squirty cream for hot chocolate!

It's awful.dont do it. I have low standards for chocolate but they are actively nasty. Not a patch of QS, celebrations, etc. Also normally a huge fan of M&S

user593 · 22/12/2025 18:18

The honey roasted cashew nuts are my Christmas treat every year.

elliesmummy19 · 22/12/2025 18:22

Percy Pigs obvs.

Cheese tasters (or carrot crisps as my 6 year old calls them).

Their Greek yoghurt is delicious.

The Marmite pinwheels.

The extra chocolatey biscuits.

SilverBlue56 · 22/12/2025 18:26

Turkey feast dip with kettle chips ...just had that for my tea 😋

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 22/12/2025 18:28

I much prefer the big mix chocolates to quality st etc.

Gowlett · 22/12/2025 18:38

The Fudge Pretzel Bites tub, absolute crack.
Labneh or Feta Herby Dip
Swiss Mountain Bar Milk or White
Roundy Pretzels, the seeded ones.
Greek Yoghurt in the big round tub.

Gowlett · 22/12/2025 18:41

Crisps-wise, the Reduced Fat Crinkle Cut.
Nice & dry, crunchy not oily like other crisps.
Cheese Tasters, of course!

TaraRhu · 22/12/2025 18:43

Salt and pepper cashews

Walnut whips

Plain tortilla chips

Whipped feta dip

Giant chocolate buttons

Belgian biscuits

Fruit kebabs

localbutterfly · 22/12/2025 18:48

Especially if you might be entertaining vegetarians at any point, the Roasted Mushroom Pâté is a great, versatile, delicious thing to have on hand.

Theda13 · 22/12/2025 18:48

Salted caramel tea cakes
Rudolph the Reindeer cheesecake
Spanish cured meat selection along with the biscuits for cheese
Cheese tasters
