Just watched the new Christmas movie on iplayer stuffed absolutely loved it, so funny and gave Christmas magic feeling's. As a side had a cup of tea when watching and had a Aldi mini mince pie which are only 100 calories each tasted lovely and practically calories free!

Any of you kind souls want to recommend more Christmas movies and snacks, just going to open a bottle of red 🍷 dh now making us a mini large buffet.

Hope you are all enjoying the lead up to Christmas 🎄 and yes I will be arsing the whole bottle tonight 😉

One of our favs not watched it this year yet, usually like to watch Lampoon's on Christmas eve. Watched lost at Christmas last night that was enjoyable with funny bits.

We watched deck the halls last night and muppets Christmas carol the night before

youalright · 20/12/2025 20:07

We also watched elf the other day

I’ve also just opened up a nice bottle of red! Tricky to recommend not knowing what you’ve already watched, but I’m keen to re-watch It’s a Wonderful Life this year.

In terms of snacks I’ve been inhaling the Waitrose Cinnamon Knots. Got some on a freebie at the start of Dec and have been buying them since.

Click and Collect is really funny!

@youalright Muppets is my favourite Christmas movie ever, watched it the other week think I will watch it again tomorrow afternoon or i might watch it in the wee small hours tonight. Wish that I could like elf but just can never get into it not really a fan of Will or Jim Carrey type of humour.

I like watching white Christmas on Christmas eve and great expectations on boxing day. Honestly the older I get the more set in my ways I become turning into my granny Confused

I am actually quite embarrassed 😳 this year I've went full on with the movies. So far I've watched

Click and collect one of my favourites
Champagne problems loved it
Lost at Christmas funny
Muppets which is my favourite Christmas movie of all time.
Netflix princes/King ones in far away lands.
Love Hard
Hot frosty didn't like that one
Last Christmas such a lovely film it emotionally destroyed me.

Will try and remember what else I've watched. How could I forget about its a wonderful life its a classic. Your cinnamon knots sound yummy.

Four Christmases with Reece Witherspoon Is good.
Or I love Christmas with the Coopers.
Bridget Jones Diary is kind of Christmassy towards the end, or the obvious ones like.. The Holiday, Love Actually, The Grinch.

Think am the only person who doesn't like the home alone films it's the way the family treat poor Kevin like shit. Love actually is one of my favourites giving it a miss this year along with the holiday as I've watched them ever year since they came out. Oh forgot about Nativity love Mr poppy. Not watched the others, thank you.

We've just watched Nativity again - me59, DD19, DS15

Bamaluz · 20/12/2025 20:30

Nativity
Bad Santa, not suitable for children, very rude, crude and funny.

CaveMum · 20/12/2025 20:33

Our go to Christmas films are:

Scrooged (Bill Murray)
Elf
Arthur Christmas
Muppet Christmas Carol
Die Hard
Home Alone

Justdancevance · 20/12/2025 20:34

I always love meet me in St Louis, while not strictly a Christmas film, it has a memorable Christmas, ditto Liittle Women.

Misscoffee · 20/12/2025 20:34

Longkiss goodnight.
Die hard.

I dont like any home alone films op so not just you.

Ladymuckypuddle · 20/12/2025 20:45

A lot mentioned I've not I've not seen before. Just remembered that I've also watched Father Christmas is back the first one is good the second not so much. A very murry Christmas with bill murry is really funny.
