What did you buy dh for Christmas?

I really struggled with DH’s Christmas gifts this year and he is no help for suggestions. I ended up getting him:

Favourite band tshirt
Mug from his favourite film
Book he wanted
Slippers
Calendar in theme he likes
L’Oréal men’s skincare set (he does use these products)

That’s it unless I see something on Amazon. I don’t know why but I don’t feel great about what I’ve gotten him. We have the same budget for each other.

theatre tickets, booze, chocolates, gardening item

DS is getting him a hat, socks, chocolate. Maybe PJs.
I might get him a record. Or a book, if funds allow…

A jumper, since one of his favourites recently sprouted a moth hole - bastard little buggers!

A nice scarf, same reason, though again it’s wool…. 😡

Sheepskin slippers, his last pair are getting very worn.

Sundry small edibles for his stocking.

The ice hockey jersey from National Lampoons Christmas vacation
A chilli grinder and some dried chillis
A hand colinder scoop thing (sounds strange but he loves odd kitchen things)
Some marinade spice tubs

Bottle of favourite whiskey and some walkie talkies

A barbour belt, bottle of whiskey and a zwilling bread knife.

Whiskey and tickets to a comedy night. The cats are getting him some socks.

I usually get him a voucher for a meal out or theatre/experience. That way I benefit too 😁

This year I've got him a voucher for the Battersea power station lift experience, with a 3 course meal after at Cinammon Kitchen, inc a drink. Plus some little bits to open.

A weekend away in his favourite place, aftershave, yeti flask, Barbour hat and scarf and a large Lego set.

We have been together forever and we buy what we want during the year so we don't buy actual birthday or Christmas gifts anymore but we do use the money for a wee weekend away a couple of times a year

Some aftershave, weird fish fleece, Clinique moisturiser and Rituals deodorant ( he uses both these) bottle of spiced ginger non alcoholic spirit thing ( ready for dry January) new Swiss backpack/laptop bag , current one6 years old and looking ropey ,

A jumper and slippers which he has asked for. Also going on a spa evening and have got his car valeted inside and out.

A rugby shirt (it’s a special 30 year World Cup anniversary shirt).
His favourite cologne
Man Cave shower gel and face moisturiser.

A new Xbox headset he wanted, Aftershave, A new towelling dressing gown, 2 band t-shirts, some slightly nicer than he'd normally buy toiletry bits and some airbrush paints he's been after.
Basically things he finds useful which needed replacing or updating. He prefers practical gifts.

New pink Floyd release on vinyl and the usual pyjamas, chocolates, smellies. We were supposed to be doing token gifts this year with a £50 budget but the record alone was £75! Some years we do more than others but this has been a low income year and while we are not struggling we don’t want to spend needlessly either. Both adult DC are bringing partners for Christmas so the spend is going on the extra gifts and food there.

Weeelll, what I wants, is a shredder.

I don’t feel super excited about what I’ve bought either. I usually try and buy him something he’s mentioned throughout the year but couldn’t justify the cost so didn’t buy like really nice niche trainers. But I could think of anything this year.

Tottenham Hotspur bag (he saw someone wearing this at the Europa win parade & really liked it)

Chair or Swear ikea card game (this was DS9’s idea & I think it’s brilliant!)
Only Fools & Horses board game - gets released super close to Christmas so I’m praying it’ll arrive in time

Funny you mention that… DH said yesterday that he wanted a new shredder!

Nothing! He doesn't like receiving presents! Weirdo. It's great though, one less thing to worry about. He has bought me some wonderful gifts in the past, beautiful jewellery etc, but quite often we agree not to get me anything either(all money comes out of a joint pot), we spend it on the kids, food and booze instead!

He has bought his own and I have given him the money as he came home with a coat and said give me that and then came home with a head torch and said that can be from the kids. He doesn't like surprises or gifts tbh. I have wrapped him some Kendal mint cake liqueur, a toblerone and a model he has to make of his beloved classic car. This will either be well recieved or go down like a lead balloon.

Love seeing what everyone gets for Christmas.

In this house everyone gets a stocking so in DHs he got a phone case, phone screen protector, two small lush candles, candle lighter, a teabag holder, tea scoop, loose fruit tea, pumice stone, t-shirt, ring doorbell, wooden sphere puzzle, magic the gathering booster pack, chocolate orange and a galaxy bar

Then for under the tree he's got a box of various lush bath bombs, a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans, a Tommy Hilfiger hoodie and some even realities glasses.

The best shredder in the world. Everyone says that.
