Why do you need to be so judgemental?!
And happy Christmas!

Disco2022 · 14/12/2025 22:25

I think you've done amazingly well on your budget. I've a similar budget for my DS and have definitely not done as well. Haven't done stockings yet so Home Bargains is definitely on my list. Thank you for sharing!

Yes I wondered that. Surely two nice presents and a book on a budget is much better

Happytap · 14/12/2025 22:28

I think that's a great list! You've done amazingly - I bet they'll be absolutely thrilled.

Thank you for sharing - some great ideas there

Movinondown · 14/12/2025 22:29

You've done brilliantly I'm sure she will love it, I wouldn't say it was tat at all, lots of books, consumables and proper toys that will get lots of use - good range of things I'm sure it will be really useful for others - home bargains have some brilliant gifts for those on a budget, really well priced and nicely presented - look a bit fancier than b&m but usually a bit cheaper!

ffs. Just let them be. Does their gift giving directly affect you? Crack on OP, sounds like you’ve covered all bases there.

2 gifts and a book for a 4 year old? I'm sure most 4 year olds would much prefer OP's gifts than your 2 gifts and 1 book.

Seriously? We have no family around for gifts everything is from us. We only buy things at christmas and birthdays.

I posted it to help people not for judgemental comments. Merry Christmas 🎅

@Bella2021 well done OP her eyes are gonna pop on Xmas morning

good luck wrapping it all up - (wearing my been there done that tshirt 🤣)

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 14/12/2025 23:12

Well done OP, you've done great and what a haul of presents to wake up to for your DD. Have a lovely christmas! 😍

Greyrock2828 · 14/12/2025 23:19

Well done OP! That's impressive, I've got some home bargains stocking fillers on the way. Ignore the trolls, assuming they don't actually have kids.
I remember opening my stocking on Christmas day and I absolutely loved getting tat (i don't think there's much on your list that is tat btw) but that's the whole point of the stocking. It's supposed to be fun.

For anyone else looking for stocking fillers on a budget- some of the things I have for DS 5

  • squirty foam soap/shaving foam - loves this at bath time
  • home bargains has some cheap bath bombs, colour changing bubble bath, bath slime, glitter glue, pritt stick, craft platter
-christmas baking kits from supermarket/character Cupcake making kit -olly ball - been a big hit in our house but current one deflated -play doh -joke/pranks like Whoopee cushion, fake poo, snapping gum. -crayola felt tips -giant chocolate coin, chocolate santa
  • the range does a big bag of bath dust that always goes down well

I have got other bits too but they were my best bargains

gogomomo2 · 14/12/2025 23:24

That’s a lot, I admit my dc got half that amount or less and got useful things like clothes, toothbrush etc

Radiator981 · 14/12/2025 23:26

You’ve done loads OP mine are older so want big ticket items … makes it v expensive. I miss the days I could do more for less.

It looks like OP has gone for quantity over quality. I would have bought one nice toy for £25.47 rather than a mountain of pocket money toys. There’s also far too much messy stuff there - playdoh, paint, sand - there’s enough mess at Christmas as it is!

The £25 section is the stocking stuff I presume
So it would be a bit naff to have one toy in the stocking rather than a few bits, wouldn't it?

sparkleghost · 14/12/2025 23:57

Love all the different activities and books. You did great OP!
